The mice were afraid of shoes. Or so she thought. After She then took off her shoes and threw them at a mice they stayed put. What? These mice were to be afraid of shoes. It worked for Clara, but when she did it they just stayed put. Sadness was on her face. Were these mice different then the ones before? Mice? What to do? Then she looked around and spotted Beucette fighting right next to her. She did not know Beucette that well. She walked over to her shoes. She quickly grabbed her shoes that she threw at the mice and put them on. Throwing the shoes again was not going to work again. What did Clara's shoes have that hers did not. Was it the smell or the size of the shoes. It could be the shoes them self. The shape of the shoe? The color or the laces? Maybe she could barrow Clara's shoes and use them. She could just imagine it. Walking up to Clara and asking if she could have her shoes. The look on Clara's face would be price less. She looked around for Clara but did not see her. Were was Clara? She looked around and did not see anyone, but Beucette. Beucette was fighting without a care of anything but, getting rid of the mice. She then thought about using her bow. No she could not risk it. What if she used it and it hurt Beucette or anyone else. Silvia was wrong to save her. I am useless she thought. I have nothing to offer. How am I to fight these mice? "Any ideas?" What was Beucette thinking? She probably thought that she could not do anything. She thought about a time that she could use her bow without fear. This was long ago and was before everything. Before the death of the man, before it was stolen. She wished she could get that bow back. That would be nice. Maybe she could have it back but how? It was time to focus on the mice what to do about them? A cat of course a cat would work. The only problem was getting one. "Any one have a cat?" she asked. After what seemed like forever and no one answered her. She thought of something else. Cheese. "I have some cheese if you leave." she told the mice. Then the mice attacked her. Anger coming on her and she was no longer was aware of what was going on. Fire came onto her hand. She used thunder on the 27 hp mouse.

Before the mouse could even flinch, Mizuki's blade had sliced through its neck in one smooth stroke, ending its life. Too easy. She didn't have much time to triumph over her enemy though, because the second one soon came at her with an attack, which she somewhat managed to block but took the majority of the blow on her shoulder.
Turning to face this new threat, Mizuki quickly scanned the battle around her. The mouse that was still standing was on its last legs, so it's attack had probably been less a matter of a carefully executed attack, and more a wild flailing as it darted away from Silvia. Speaking of which, the other girl had taken her leave and gone to help someone else. No matter, Mizuki could easily take on this last mouse.

The mouse backed away from her, a building sense of terror shining it it's widening eyes, as Mizuki paced mercilessly towards it. It lunged towards her desperately with an attack, which she effortlessly parried to the side with a flick of her sword. At the same moment, she took two steps towards the mouse, taking advantage of the opening it had offered, and plunged her sword into the mouses chest. It dropped its sword and became limp, looking at Mizuki with sad eyes for a moment, before closing them forever. Mizuki twisted her sword, and stepped back.

Mizuki used Basic Attack on the remaining mouse.

 

As the group continued to walk through the forest, suddenly a giant mouse had come out of nowhere and kidnapped Dale. Charlotte blinked for a second after it happened, trying to actually comprehend what had just happened. However, it all seemed perfectly and completely obvious now to her. Pointing her blade at the large rodent like creature before her, Charlotte proclaimed, "foul beast who takes it upon themselves to kidnap the unsuspecting, you shall be felled under the blade of justice! Prepare yourself vile creature!" With that, Charlotte charged at the giant rat, jumping in to the air and using blitz.

Lucia shrugged at Hasu's suggestion to just go with the flow of things, and continued to float around. She wondered what giant being would want to eat them...or could eat them at that, but she now had a better grasp on the situation. As such, she grabbed a nearby floating carrot and started...to much on it. While a bit unwieldy and difficult, the more she bit into it the less there was, and thus the carrot became easier to hold. When it was at an acceptable size, and more importantly, Lucia was full, she then looked over to Zwei and said, "I'll go and check the edges to see if there's anything around them to help us get out." With that, she used her carrot like an oar and started to paddle over to the sides of the pot.

Aoki wasn't thrilled that they knew nothing about the book, other than its name, but things like these couldn't be helped all the time. When Edric had asked if there were any more questions she shrugged and said, "none that I can really think of." She was about ready to get this mission started with and see just what the adventures a guild took were like. Also, the mission hadn't even started, and she was a bit ready to further distance herself from just about every other person she was going on the mission with.

Beucette leaped at the remaining mouse, and gave a massive swing of ego. "Decapitatiooon!" She screamed as she cut off the thing's head. GG mouse. GG.

 

Therity listened to the group contemplate who could possibly be behind this curse. She agreed with the idea of it being several wizards - it wasn't likely that whoever they were facing had the kind of power to pull this whole thing off on their own. Suddenly, she sensed a giant... Something coming out of nowhere and heading right for the group. She whipped out her sword just in time for the beast to come out of the trees, but she wasn't fast enough to save Dale from it's grasp. She watched as the others began to attack, and did so herself moments later.

Therity used Blitz.

 

The guild was pretty empty. Lancelot leaned against the wall, looking around with one eye. His arms were folded as he spotted Edric ready to move people on a mission. There were others that were certain to join, he didn't really care though. If worse came to worse, he'd have to unleash his hidden power. Having more people would make the mission either easier, or make it so more casualties were possible. His scarf covered the rest of his face but there would have been no expression to show either way. There never was an expression to show.

He walked up to Edric, his body giving the presence of a rolling boulder. He stopped and looked at the S class mage with a lifeless stare. "I'm in." Was all he said to the mission. Some extra experience wasn't going to hurt, nor was the practice with dealing with people in a party. He did not need to speak to them. Lancelot only needed to fight when needed, defend when needed, kill when needed.

The mission was to steal a book. It seemed a little too mediocre to require such a large amount of people to do so. Stealing involved stealth, something not a large group could achieve. This only meant this was going to be a mission regarding beating people to a pulp to get the things you wanted. That sounded pretty good to Lancelot. He needed to let loose some steam by punching the noble class right in the groin. They deserved it, most of them did anyway. He was ready to move out.

 

Galuna Island:



Ander's pov:
As he walked through the trees in the forest he keep looking around. There was no sound at all. It was odd there should be birds or something but he did not hear anything. Then there was a noise up ahead. It sounded like a mouse Squeak. A mouse was nothing to worry about. Then again thing on this island so far was interesting. Then Dale being as smart as he was went ahead of them. "There something there." It was to late the Giant Mouse took a hold of Dale. Then the mouse put Dale down her shirt. Welp. Sucks to be Dale. He wondered if Dale had a fondness of giant mice. "Looks like dale got himself captured. I guess we should just keep going. To the temple we go." He was joking of course. He was to nice to just leave someone even Dale behind. Dale, shaking his head. He was not at all worried for Dale at all. He could kill that thing in one hit. Why should they recuse him? He was a wizard that could get himself out. "I guess we should help Dale out." He sounded like he was not at all happy about it. That what you get Dale for not paying attention he thought. He wondered if this mouse could be reasoned with. There was only one way to find out. "If you let..." What was Dale? He was not a friend that was for sure. Dale being a friend of anything other than chip was, well unheard of. They did not need Dale at the moment. That said Dale maybe useful down the road. He could not tell the future so dale's ice may become useful down the road. Dale could Just freeze the giant mouse now and be done with it. Then again that kind of magic used a lot of power. They may need that power latter. An Acquaintance was just to good of a word for Dale. Well he was a guild mate he guessed he would just have to go with that. "Let our guild mate go and I will give you a Giant cheese wheel." He did not think this would work, but there was only one way to find out and that was to wait for answer. Then Therity attacked the mouse. What are you doing he thought. There was no was the mouse would cooperate now. Therity just messed up. Well, why did everything need to in fighting? An odd sight appeared before the group as they ventured through the tress towards the temple. An oddly dressed giant rat stood before them. It didn't seem like it would just let them waltz right past it, so they would need to come up some other way of getting past it. Maybe they could distract it and make a break for it. Sure the mouse might catch them, but they'd cross that bridge when it got to it. Unfortunately it would come to that for the mouse then grabbed Dale and stuffed him down his shirt. "Um, well then." He didn't know what else to make out of that, well other than how they would have to rescue Dale from the mouse clutches. So to start he held out his hand and cast thunder at the giant mouse.

She became aware of everything when someone came around. There was a faint something or other. Silvia came to healed Beucette. This just proved her point she was not useful. I am not at all useful she thought. What do I have to offer? Beucette was fighting but she could never fight the way she did. How could she? She then became unaware of what was going on again. Fire appearing in her hand. Her life went back to a time when she got that bow. She was 15. It was a cold day. The sun had gone down about a hour or two ago. After steeling and getting money someway or another. She looked around at the money that she had. She looked at the large pile she been saving up for 5 years. She could buy something or she could steel something it did not madder. As she walked in the cold freezing rain she thought about buying some clothes. Warmer clothes could be helpful as winter approached. She never bought anything. The thought kind of thinking bothered her. Buy something yea ok. Not going to happen she thought. She stole and stole some more. When ever she needed something that was what she would do. It was easy. She would just walk into a shop and steal food. She usually only got bread. She go into the shop when the shop was empty. Then when the person that was working was not looking she would grab what she could and head out of there. This was how she got her clothes too kind of. She was fast and no one seemed to ever look for her. She only took enough food that would not be noticed. When it came to clothes it was harder. She walk into shops and watch what people would buy. If it was some kind of clothes that would fit her or would look good on her. She would follow them home. Then she would wait a few hours and break in there home and take the clothes. No one ever knew it was her. She reached a hunting shop. Many people looking at the bow and there was to many to steal it. She decided that it was not worth the risk of steeling that bow. She walked in and bought the bow. She used all her money on the thing. The only reason she brought the bow was for protection. The years past and she was now 18. Se looked at the bow on her back. Why she bought that thing she had no clue. After all these years she still did not use it.

Since everyone's curiosity appeared to have been sated and no other burning questions were asked, it was time to get going. He clapped his hands together eagerly and looked at everyone, smiling.
"Alrighty then lads. And lass." He spoke, glancing at their group. He didn't like the look that red coated guy was giving him overmuch, but he looked over that regardless. There were all sorts at Sapphire Eclipse. Some of them had to be of the bad sort. Maybe they'd change him eventually once he learned to chill out and that the guild was really, quite a relaxed place to be. He checked his mug habitually, swishing around to see if there was anything. Spotting a little bit in there, he picked it up and downed the last vestiges of the cold, bitter ale and then began to walk to the door. "We are good to gooo! Follow me!" Edric led them out of the hall to a large wooden carriage that the guild had for larger missions. Why so many of them were going on a heist mission he didn't know, but hey. What could possibly go wrong, they were all professionals right? He saddled up the horses to it and beckoned everyone inside.
"Get in fellas. Ah'll be yer driver for the trip. Next stop, Everlue mansion!" Edric declared once everyone was inside and he was sitting in the driver's space. Whipping the horses into action, the carriage set off for the mansion.




Vance listened to Edric's explanation with just a hint of boredom. There didn't seem to be anybody he liked and that strange person who said that quote about empty pockets (Which must have been stolen from somewhere because it was clearly far beyond his intellectual station to come up with) seemed like a thoroughly disreputable character. I see. I'm in a guild with vagabonds and all sorts of other people. Lower than me that's for sure. That Conrad barely even counts as a nobleman. Sure they're rich but he's not one in spirit. He's just like them. He strutted over to the carriage and sneered.
"This looks as if it'll fall apart. What, do you expect us to travel in this?" Vance said disapprovingly, to himself mostly. If anyone agreed then perhaps they'd be decent folk. Of course, knowing all these people they'd probably just disagree or something. Foolish peasants. They knew nothing about anything worthwhile. He climbed inside anyway, making sure he was before anyone else and took the seat in the middle of one of the rows. They could all work around him it wasn't going to be the other way around. Besides, this was customary.

Amanda's pov: She grabbed Aidan by the shirt. Her shyness strangely gone. She was frustrated and mad everything was going wrong and not one person was taking good suggestion seriously. "Whats wrong with you? You should be helping the towns people and us. You don't even care. You say they are goners. You don't know us. We just kicked your butt and you think we can't handle things." She let go of him after that. Then Aidan had watched in shock as she jumped down the slide. He looked at the other Guild Members. “Is she crazy?” "At lest she cares and is doing something but you want what? Money, fame or something else? Your no better then Wenlock. You attacked us for no reason but for self gain" She then climbed on to Brietta her shyness coming back shortly after that talk with Aidan. Her anger and how mad she was leaving her, why did she feel that she needed to do that? "Lets go save them, also what's that smell?" she said shyly.

 

"Easily Birdie." He said to Amanda. "I don't care what you think about me, and I'm not exactly an upstanding member of the Kingdom either."

"We can't save anyone without him. We don't know our way around here, we'll get lost." Brietta asked. "Aidan, please, will you help us?"

Zephyros was already annoyed with this spoiled brat. Did he realize how nice it was to be able to travel by carriage? Especially when you weren't wearing shoes.
