A thought came to him. The curse that was put on him years. Anytime anyone came close to becoming his friend they would be pushed away. The curse of having no friends. Charlotte had said something dumb. What Dale uses is not considered rare magic. no I thought is was. Thinking the sarcasm and words letting it come off in his head. She then told about something Specialized magic which he knew. If you so wanted to, it would be all within your grasp to learn it as well. I know many things about magic more then you learned in a year took me a day. I would not be learning anything. Fact you probably wouldn't even know it exists until you find someone who knows it really shows how much you know. He knew so much about magic it was endless or so it seemed. He said nothing of this because he did not want to push people farther away. He went back to looking around they should be close to the temple now. He keep looking around. What was left to do. He tried to imagine the temple. Green moss growing everywhere bricks falling from it and a big opening that lead inside. A old looking building is what he expected to see at any moment what would he see was the question.

Sara's pov:
She gave one more push and the tree fell harmlessly away from her. She saw people getting ready to leave. oh no. There was something about running and leaving the snow area. There was no way she would be able to run. "Thea" Her voice sounded week put came to her perfectly fine. We have to move she thought. I am going to be left behind she thought no one will care. She started crawling towards the group. The pain was so intense every time she move but she had to get out of here or.. She did not want to think about the other. I am going to be left behind she could feel it. There was no older man to take her in this time, no one to help her threw life. She learned long ago that that one will not help everyone for them self. She tried to stand but a sharp pain went threw her left lag. I think I sprained it she thought. There would be no way she be able to walk on her left leg. That left one think left to do. That was to ask for help. I am not going to get it she thought there was no way. Welp only one thing left to do and that was try it. "Help." She hoped that this would work

As Skadi sat there crying, Silvia approached her and healed her to the best of her ability. She also apologised for not being able to do more, and at this Skadi shook her head. "That's plenty, thank you Silvia" she said quietly. She was shaking slightly as Silvia hugged her, she wasn't cold in the slightest but all the emotions within her was making it hard for her to concentrate. She turned her head slightly and looked over at Thea. Alisia shouldn't be yelling at her, it wasn't her fault, but the ice mage couldn't find it within herself to go and comfort her. She wanted to, but she was afraid. Thea had brought up memories for Skadi, terrible memories from the night her parents died.

Spoiler: Well, didn't see this one coming

That night had been the worse of Skadi's life, there was no doubt about that. The fear, the sorrow she'd felt that night, it was absolutely terrible. She didn't remember exactly how it started, all she knew is she'd woken up sweating and panicking after a nightmare. The nightmare had involved her parents death, and given how close she was to them, well it wasn't exactly a pleasant thought. It didn't take her long to realize that she had more to worry about than the nightmare, as she could smell the smoke and see the flames caused by her house being on fire.

She remembered running through the home, screaming out her parents' names but not hearing any response, could still vividly hear the sounds of her cries as she feared the worst, and yet she clung to the hope that they had made it out. She'd gone from her room upstairs down to the living room to see if they were there, but there wasn't. All she found there was a woman, a witch adding more fire to the mix and laughing. She knew the woman; she was a criminal, a murderer, Yana Aegrum. The witch turned and saw her, but rather than attack her, she walked up to the girl and started cackling uncontrollably in front of her face. Filled with fright, a young Skadi Wynter began sprinting away as fast as her little legs would carry her, up the stairs which looked as though they could give way at any moment, the cackling simply echoing in her mind and causing her to move faster.

She made her way to the window in the bathroom. Yana wasn't following her, but Skadi could easily hear her yelling things up the staircase, telling her all about how her parents were dead and soon she would be too, before letting loose that wicked laugh once again. It wasn't true though, her parents were dead, they couldn't be. They got out, they had to have. Squeezing through the window, Skadi leaped from the top floor and fell down to the ground below, screaming and having tears flowing down her face as she landed.

Both her legs had broken from the impact on her frail body, but as people crowded around Skadi, she began wailing even louder, but not for the pain. While the people there were hugging her and telling her everything was okay, she knew immediately that everything was most certainly not okay. Her parents weren't there, they were dead. They weren't far away though, and she could see that easily. She saw the charred bodies in the window near the front door, so close yet so far from where she was. What she guessed to be her mother's body was leaning against the window, arm stretched out desperately as though it were trying to reach her, and next to it was Yana Aegrum, holding her father's body and moving it around as though it was some sick, twisted puppet show.

After that, she had stayed with her aunt, who lived in a home not too far from her old house. For a long time she had been depressed, for a time even longer than that she had been deeply traumatised because of it, but eventually with the help of Caleb and Gaius, she had overcome it. She'd all but forgotten it, knowing her parents had died but not remembering the specifics of it. That was, until Yana had come back. She had stirred up the memories, caused Skadi to re-live the sorrow she had felt but still not remembering every little detail. However, the flames that Thea had made...the speed at which joy had turned into fear, it had brought it back immediately.

"Silvia...how can one person cause so much pain?" Skadi asked quietly. She would have sat there a while longer, waiting until she was emotionally stable, but the nutcracker mentioned it was no longer safe. As much as Skadi had loved her parents, she wasn't about to throw away her life to go be reunited with them, though there was always a voice in the back of her mind saying that it would be best for her. Standing up, the girl began walking away from the area, hoping to leave the memories behind with the melted snow.​

Jack's pov: Everyone left, he didn't see anyone. Fire it was everywhere. It was to bad he didn't know water magic. But maybe blizzard would work. But then again maybe not. He couldn't leave the fairies to die. He thought about the group. It hopped they were ok. Even though they left him behind. He thought about calling out to them, but no he didn't want them to come back for him. He hopped the fairies would be ok. Did the guild have a fire department? They didn't deserve this. Thea had caused this. He couldn't really blame her either, she was so young. He looked around. Were did the hole go. He had to make sure everyone made it there. He saw Clara, the nutcracker, Skadi, Sara, Silvia, Alessia, and Thea head that way before he lost sight of them. That left Mikuzi, as much as he didn't like her, she didn't to die in the fire. He had to make sure she made it. He knew everyone else would they were all probably in the hole. He started looking around for Mikuzi...

"Maybe you should hang back and watch the real fighters do their job." She took off running into a deadly Blitz attack, striking with a frustrated fury of shots.

Sara's pov:
The fire from Thea did so much damage it was sad. Did I do this? Did I help bring this on? Most of the snow from the snow fight was gone. The smell of fire was still in the air. A large black mark was on the ground. The place screamed fire was here. The look on her face when Silvia came over was priceless. I am sorry I couldn't help sooner. She then put most of her weight on Silvia. The look of relief came as soon as she did, but then put her weight back on her foot so not to hurt Silvia. She winced when she did this. "You are not old man." Her voice sounded serprised. The old man reference was something that Silvia would not get she was sure. Silvia healed her, why? What did she want from her? What would she gain? Nothing from what she could tell. "Why are you helping me? What is it that you will gain? This was old that someone would help her. "You should just leave me." She soon regretted it as soon as she said it. "I will just slow you down. You might not make it. Save yourself." Silvia then said that she would be ok. The look of confusion was still on her face. I can not let people help me. They will end up dead if they do just like that man. "By helping me you are putting yourself endanger. You might die." There was sadness there. "Fire follows me wherever I go. Fire shale forever burn in my life." When Silvia tried giving her the pill she refused. "I do not want you to die, like someone died from helping me. Your fate will be changed just like those before you that helped me." She tried to get Silvia to leave her, but the look on her face said that she was not going to have any of it. "By helping me fire will get you too. I am the most expendable person here" She pleaded. "No one will care if I am gone." What was she going to do? Silva was not the type to just leave someone. She would die before she would leave her. "Death" She warned. Then Silva gave a friendly guiding towards the hole. They started making there way towards the hole they did not make it that far. "You risk your life for others. Why?" She never before meant anyone like her expect the man that she killed. Would the same fate come on to Silva? She would not let it happen She would just have to make sure Silva made it in to that hole.

Silvia answer to her question was odd. There is nothing to gain for this. "Everyone has something to gain from everything. That being money or something else." She did not know what to say. Silvia keep moving her towards the hole. Why was she so different. "I was left on the streets when I was younger. Everyone wants something. Everyone wanted something, no one would help a 5 year old girl. Everyone wanted something in return. They wanted something that was imposable for me. The money they wanted was outrageous. I was just getting by steeling enough money just for a small peace of bread. I never had enough money to give someone and enough to feed my self. I could not do both. Why are you different? People have greed. They are in it for themselves. I lived like this for 15 years." Day in day out it was the same. Steal enough money to get by. Then next day she would have to repeat the same thing. "Then I meant him..." Her voice trailed off. "You are the only one that I have meant that would just help someone out of the goodness of there heart other then that man." Then Silvia said she hated death. "You should hate me then. Why help me and not someone else? You are worth living, I am just expendable I have nothing to offer the guild nothing. I am just like others in in for my self. I thought I was but now I am not sure." Then Silvia said she deserved the punishment. "If anyone deserves punishment it is me. I came here for money I was..." She did not know what to say. "I was for money not I do not know what I am here for. Something that is greater then I can do. My offer to the guild is nothing compared to you. You help people I do nothing. I can not fight with out risking hurting someone. I am the expendable one and the one that should be punished not you." What they are meant to be. "I am no meant to be anything do anything. All I do is cause pain and death. Fire follows me. My path is forever this way because it was meant to be. You are better then you let yourself be. You talk down to yourself because you think you are not god enough, but you are. You are better then this." Then Silvia lead her though the hole. No you don't she thought. Then she grabbed at Silvia dragging her in the hole after her.

Conrad Heinrich Adelbrecht Carsten von EisenStein II, Near Sapphire Eclipse Guild Hall

This was it, he was almost there, he had his old teacher to thank for this and in hindsight it explained his curiosity regarding magic. He walked through the busy street, he noticed some heads turned, people staring thinking they had seen him before. He kept to himself and walked on, he rounded the corner onto the main road the Guild Hall coming into view, it was an impressive building to say the least, but it still felt strange to him. He was reminded of their estate, it was impressive but it was never more than a home to him and he knew how priviliged he was coming from such a family. He carried on walking

He stood before the doors of the guild hall, uncertain of what was the custom here, he considered knocking and waiting as he had been instructed to do, but that applied to personal rooms and homes, neither of which this building was. So he took a moment to dust off his coat and made sure he looked presentable and then entered the Guild hall, he was surprised by what he saw, his teacher had explained the function and a general lay-out of a Guild but he didn't expect this. He looked around for someone that looked like they could help him.

 

Amanda used Quick Blitz. She did 4 damage, but with Strength, Speed and Weapon she did 14!
Scarlett was used Blitz! She jumped 4 times, each time doing 5 damage. She did 20 damage, but with Strength and Weapon it did 37!

"It doesn't matter who you were before your death. It is perhaps more important that you truly desire to change. Which, being that you're here, I assume is the case." Caliborn said, greeting the strange golem. I can't say I've seen much like this before. I've heard of it, although not seen it. It's fascinating though. I'll have to find out a bit more because this is just too different to simply overlook. A Warlord that casually talks about destroying villages. Frankly I've never heard of a Malkira the cursed, but I don't think he should mention his past all that much. Some people would take affront to the murders and burning of towns and some... Well they'd just want to fight him for fun. I remember the first day. Gaius will probably think it would be an interesting thing to do, challenging an old warlord. "It would be prudent not to mention your past here. Particularly the burning villages. Just a bit of advice." At that moment, he heard someone shouting. There was only one person that could be- Edric.
"Hey, all of ya! Get o'er here if yer new! I'm takin' you all on a job!" Caliborn smiled. Subtle as ever, Edric.




Edric continued calling everyone over until all the new people were gathered around him. He sat down and finished off his mug of Ale in the meantime. He tapped his foot on the ground impatiently. Come on, we need ta get goin' soon. Need to be back before the others return. It looks like we've got enough new folks to make this mission work out. I mean, how hard can it be ta steal a book? Edric waited, watching everyone that appeared. The weirdest one was the statue man that was talking to Caliborn. I'll ask later. It's probably easier. Eventually however, they all appeared before him and he slammed his tankard on to the table and got to his feet energetically.
"So, I'd like ta welcome you all to the guild. It's a pleasure ta have ya all aboard. Soo, I'm takin' ya on yer first mission." Edric began. "So, oor mission is quite simple. We've got ta steal a book. Don't know if you have read a lot of those, I've read a couple in my lifetime but not too many. Anyway, this book is called Daybreak and it's very special. One of a kind. Oor client is a man who wants us to steal the book that his father wrote off the man that has it. He refused to return it to its rightful owner so folks, it's up ta us to do it. Are ya ready?"




Vance threw the doors of the Guild Hall open and strode in, his eyes examining the room. This is the local guild? I'll give them credit the exterior is grand, but their interior could do with a bit of work. For people with such a grand taste for places they could really improve their decor. I must confess disappointment. Here I thought I was entering a guild worthy of my presence. A curse upon my family for throwing me into this place. What is that moving statue doing here? What the hell is that woman wearing does that look like acceptable dress? Whatever is that machinery she's wearing? He walked forwards and saw someone with white hair standing in front of him. The posture and the hair told him exactly who it was. He snorted with contempt. Yes I see. I have come to the wrong place. Sadly, everywhere else is just as pathetic. I'll talk to the Guildmaster at the earliest opportunity and hopefully get her to listen to me and change things around here because it most certainly could do with a slight touching up.
"Hmph, Conrad I might have known I'd find you here. You fit right in with some of these people. Out of my way I have a job to claim." He deliberately push past Conrad and approached Edric, frowning. This is what is leading us on this mission? And they expect us to steal a book? How pathetic this is barely a job!

 

They walked through it, looking on to hills of green, pink and with forests and a castle far away on a cloud. It smelt like peppermint, and the snow wasn't even cold. You would never see a sky bluer anywhere. They walked down the hill and into a forest, stepping on a path of stone.

They heard a few people talking in the forest.

"Let's not be seen."

“It was the Mouse King’s Army! They destroyed the village!” They could see two young girls in the clearing, talking to an elderly man. The first was a Peppermint Girl. “We went out on Marzipan, but when we came back everyone was gone.”

“This is all Prince Eric’s fault.”

“Prince Eric?! You mean the son of the King?" The elderly man asked them. "Such treason."

“Ya but he wasn’t much of a prince.” Gingerbread Girl crossed her arms.

“He left the throne and the golden scepter to his royal adviser.”

“The Mouse.”

“Until he could prove himself worthy.”

"Did you hear that?!"

"Someone's coming!"

"It's the Mouse King's Army!"

Clara couldn't help but run in to protect them.

"Who are you?!"

"They're the murderers!"

"Go children, run!" Clara said, but it was too late, they were surrounded.

Alessia gripped Thea's hand tightly as they fled, leaving the melted snow land behind. After a while, they slowed down coming into a nice, green space where a bit of snow fell, barely cold. They sky was a deep, beautiful blue. It looked like it went on forever to her. She smiled at the sight. It's so beautiful here. She almost forgot about the disaster of the Snow Fairies and Thea's flames in that peppermint scented wonderland they had wandered into. Almost. I hope nobody around here knows what happened otherwise we could be in deep, deep trouble. They found themselves on a stone path and began to follow it. She felt a little bit worried, going along the road after what happened. They were in a strange land, shrunk and vulnerable because of it. They didn't even know where this led. Well, the Nutcracker might but like he was any use.
"Are you okay, Thea?" She asked. "We just went through a lot." It felt strange talking to her like this. She had to act as if everything was okay, when in reality things were very, very bad. They were potentially on the run. As they went deeper, they started to hear the voices. Who's Prince Eric? I wonder where he got to. He's clearly someone important. And are they... Candy people? What is happening right now? As she wondered this, the Mouse Army arrived.
"How did they find us? Stay close to me Thea!" Alessia shouted, but they were separated in the chaos of trying to find a way to escape, only to be surrounded. At some point during the scramble, she found herself beside the Nutcracker. "Alright Nutcracker show me what you can do! There's a lot of them and we're going to need your help!" With that word of encouragement, she launched into an attack against the mice.
