As Alisa managed to barrel through her knives still, Lucia was pretty wary of her opponent who was charging at her with fire. As if the world continued to slow down, Lucia managed to see the path away from the attack and completely leaped over Alisa, dodging the attack completely. She then landed behind her, going into attack her with Poison Edge once more.

 

With Alisa down, it was now Calxiyn and Lucia's turn to fight against each other. Calxiyn felt the end drawing near for her. This fight would be quick and painless. But she finally proved something to herself and to everyone else: That she was strong, and she could be strong without the darkness. She readied her weapon at Lucia.

"You're a worthy opponent." Calxiyn said to her simply as she was ready for the embrace of a knock-out.

Vance woke up groggily and touched his head. There was a little blood, but that was quickly wiped off by the face floating in front of him. He squinted to try and see better, unsure of who it was. It didn't feel like what he expected a man's hand to feel like. It was a much softer touch meaning... He shrunk back in panic, wide eyed as a result of the previous thought. He quickly came to his senses, and saw it was Johanna, the healer. How hard did that damn girl hit me? He got up and smiled at Johanna.
"Thank you, Johanna. I suppose I should go see her." Vance replied, getting up and walking away. Walking was not a very good description. As soon as he started to walk, he noticed a blinding pain in his temple and the world tipped as he fell on to his knees. He grunted, gritting his teeth and standing up again. With blurry vision he attempted to find his adopted daughter. He managed to spot a small figure in a dress not too far away. He had to get to her. With uneasy steps and staggering from the dizziness, he struggled his way across the stadium to reach his little girl. His ears were ringing a little, but he could make out her distress nonetheless. Eventually, he managed to stumble his way over and blissfully fell to his knees next to Thea. He pulled the little girl into a hug.
"Thea, I'm here now. It's fine. You don't have to worry about anything. I'm here..." He said, feeling a little distant. That hit... Really screwed with my head... I need to pay her back for that later... Somehow... "Don't worry about anything... Or me... I'm around... Now. What's wrong Thea...?" ​

 

Ander's pov:



With Zephyr not saying much to him he moved on to watch the tournament. Johanna and Evanora were keeping everyone healed for the most part. Soon this would all be over. That was when Charlotte went down. He walked over to her and used cure on her. He did not know what to say to her. She was alright now hopefully. "Are you alright?" he asked her. He was not sure what else to say. He continued to watch the tournament while he waited for answer.

 

"It's alright Thea... People have... Forgotten about that. It doesn't matter now..." Vance replied, squeezing Thea more tightly as she sobbed into his shoulder. "I doubt that she's out for you... She just has some... Brutal methods of fighting. I suppose. I don't think that anyone here would target a little girl." Not that his thinking at the moment was A-Grade on point. His head was pounding like a tribal drumbeat. Over, and over again. The sound clouded his mind. After the tournament, he would have a rest before the inevitable celebration beforehand. He'd need one. Surely they'd give them some time to prepare? He put a hand on Thea's head and ruffled her hair.
"Listen... Everything will be alright. I'll protect you. I'm your father. You don't need to hurt anyone. Please, try not to. Leave that... To me. Hurting people... That's not a child's work." Vance continued, speaking on roughly the right topic but saying any words that came to mind. "Soon, once I've got all this magic stuff done... I'll take you home. We can leave all of this... All of these strange people... Behind. Won't that be good? Going back to normal? At times like this, I miss the politics." If it was a political duel, he'd have out manoeuvred everyone here and be in first place, rather than fourth. At least he would get some accolade from this. He doubted that it would do anything to improve his standing here. Likely people would think that he was undeserving. Maybe it would have been different if he had just been able to beat that pink haired girl... ​

 

Rho sat down next to Aias as the final matches were beginning. As he sat down, he went to look at who the combatants were, and made a simple, "oh" noise in surprise. Looking at the lightning fast girl, he then went to give a bit of a mischevious smirk towards Aias and said, "so the girl who beat you is in the final round huh. Frustrated?" His friend probably wouldn't show it, even if he were, as his general expression was as unchanging as Rho's own. But it was completely understandable, after how it had happened. Reclining back, he then proceeded to say, "my my, it's a shame though. Whomsoever wins doesn't matter, it's going to end in an instant regardless." Giving a bit of a sigh he then said, "bit of an anti-climax wouldn't you say?"

Sitting down next to Zephyr, Aoki got prepared to look at the final rounds results. Given that his own loss was as obvious as hers, she said, "so, you didn't get so lucky either, huh?" She gave a bit of a sigh as she looked at the two combatants in the ring. "Man, the people in this guild are insane. And those two," she pointed towards Cal and Lucia, "have you been watching them. They're crazy strong." As she reclined back in her seat, she then started musing out loud. "So, I guess this is the way that we choose what magics we get, huh. What kind of a wizard are you looking to be Zephyr?" She then widened her eyes as she looked at the strawberry haired girl. More specifically, her weapon. Pulling out her own keyblade, she looked from weapon to weapon before just speaking her thoughts aloud. "Does she have one of these too?"

Having been bested by Alisa, Charlotte felt a sort of sense of disatisfaction. She had been confident in her own strength, in her own ability to absorb the burden of others and take it on herself. Though, as had been proven by her fellow guildmate Alisa, she was far too weak. The though of it frustrated her, yet at the same time she could only admire the girl's strength. It was an odd sort of belligerence. Soon enough though, Ander had come along and tried to help her out. Charlotte walked alongside Ander as he had aided in her getting back up. Dusting herself off, she simply nodded to Ander. "I'm fine, thank you though." As she started to walk, she then looked at the two combatants. One of which, she knew far too well. While there was still a lingering animosity that Charlotte held towards her, she had mostly put those thoughts away since. Instead, all she could do was recognize her strength, and continue walking along. "Good job," she muttered under her breath. Still moving along, she then turned back to Ander. "How about you Ander, are you feeling alright as well?"

After Lucia had brought down Alisa, she then went on to the next round. Looking at her opponent, her face lit up again. "Hey, Cal, good to see you too." Thinking on it, she mused out loud, "man, I've been seeing all the guys from the last mission each and every round here." Scratching the back of her head, she jokingly said, "guess that just goes to show we were the best group, right?" She then gave a thumbs to her opponent and said, "well, good luck Cal, and may the better of us win." As the match started, she dashed at Cal using Poison Edge.

 

"Of course we're the best! We should start our own team or something." Calxiyn crossed her arms, tossing her hair. She didn't look smug for long though, as Lucia easily defeated her. Johanna ran over to heal her straight away, as did Evanora. Cal went down with a smile on her face at least.

Evanora stood up and cheered as Lucia was declared the winner. The stadium roared. "It seems we have a champion today. Lucia is the Mighty Slayer of Sapphire Eclipse, bringing light to the darkness and evil of the world! We will have a large feast to celebrate this victory, and after the magic choosing ceremony! Please follow me!"​

Shani smiled at Vance as she saw him. "You got very far. I'm very impressed that you made it into the top 4! Come drink with us Vance!" She exclaimed. Florica smiled at Conrad.

"Please, join us. It's nice to see you again. You fought very bravely."

"Hello!" Clara waved at the large group.

"It's nice to see all of you again!" Captain Candy gave a casual salute.

Major Mint stood up soliderly and exclaimed. "I do sa-say I've never seen a battle fought so, so, BRAVELY!"

"Ollie see friends again, Ollie come with friends!" Ollie exclaimed at the group. Annika smiled, Aidan's arms around her and her sister leaning onto her shoulder tiredly.

"We're glad to see you all again." Annika waved.

"Yes, we're very honored to be invited." Brietta replied. Aidan crossed his arms.

"That was some fight. It's good you haven't lost your strength."

"And Lucia- You won! I'm so glad you have the Wand of Light."

"Hello, brother!" Zackary joked as he saw Zwei.

"It's good to see you all again. That was some fighting there, but I think I could give a few pointers." She pushed up her glasses. Zachary and her seemed very close. Dominique was also there.

"Zwei, it's so nice to see them again. Please, come sit with us."

"That was an exciting battle, but you still haven't fought the moon yet!" Chief Moka started laughing at an old joke. "Come join us!"

Nessa looked toward Vance without saying much else. She narrowed her eyes at the women who seemed to catch his attention. She glared at Vance.

 

Ander's pov:



Charlotte thanked him and the look of confusion crossed his face. He was not used to be thanked. "Thanks is not necessary, Charlotte. I am just doing my job and keeping my promise." He walked with Charlotte, because he had nothing else to do. That was when Charlotte asked him if he was felling alright. "Not practically. I should not bother you with my problems." That was when he noticed the rather increase in the amount of people. He was now on edge. He was looking at all the people. The chance of something happening. "It all seems like a dream in a way. That guild is fighting. I think that there could have been another way. That the guild could have worked to together for a solution. Instead there was all this pointless fighting. It like I do not know this guild anymore. It is not the same. We are to protect others, but how can we do that if all that happens is fighting? Instead of all this fighting. If we fight among ourselves how can we help each other? How can we help the people that need us? That need the guild? To help others we need to understand each other, but I do not see that happening." He continued to walk with Charlotte. He wondered what her thoughts on all this was. The fighting, the guild all of it. "You seem like you know where you are needed, where you belong." He was not sure anymore. His thoughts were one way then another. He did not know what he wanted anymore.

Conrad called for another drink despite Edric's warnings. "How can you be so bloody certain I wouldn't have been happy if I went along with her? It's not like I got an aweful lot of friends here anyways. Vance is a dick which causes everyone else to go for the all nobility is evil card. I end up caught in the bloody middle seeing I'm no more than some joke of a noblemen that Vance pushes away from his oh so holy noble position and everyone else just sees it black and white....and here I am standing all alone in the middle" He took a swig of his drink, the man went on about how drinking was for fun and not to forget or make one feel better. "So you got it all figured out then? Tell me, what should I do? Wear a mask and pretend everything is alright? I've done that and it's really not helping..." He raised his fist again intent on slamming it on the table again to vent some of the anger he felt only stopping his hand mere milimeters from the table's surface. "It just seems so hopeless, everything I do, everything I aspire to do... With every passing day it seems more futile... the only bloody reason I didn't outright leave with her was the very same I even came here... but even that reason can't stand the test of rationality, it's all in vain. I have no direction anymore, I'm just so bloody lost and all I can think of doing right now is drowning out all the thoughts in my head... I never intended for it to last...I just wanted a moment of peace... the...she...." He spoke, his emotions spiraling out of control resulting in another breakdown, cutting his own words off. It was then Florica came over asking him to join them. He just looked at her and spoke in an as controled voice as he could muster. "I'm sorry.... F-florica....but not.. now..." He took another sip from his drink feeling it burn in his throat. Edric seemed to know what he was on about, maybe he did need clarity... Well there wasn't any going back now Edric probably knew that as well and seeing there wasn't any going back he might as well go on. Promising himself he would try and figure it all out starting tomorrow. "You seem to know a lot about this....I deeply apologise if overstepping my boundries, but how did you learn so much about this?"

 

A drop of sweat ran down the back of Ezekiel's neck. He was too far in to stop now. He just had to keep going with it and hope for the best. "No, Fae. I mean it. I want you with me." He latched his hand onto her waist and pulled the woman towards him, pressing his lips to hers. He'd never had any interest in women before, as he he'd been obsessed with power for so long. Now that he had let go of that, he realized that he was...somewhat lacking in experience. His heart raced as he kissed the girl. He didn't know how this would turn out, only that he had gone off the deep end now.

Ra was still slightly baffled as to the conversation he'd had with that woman. The inner machinations of her mind were an enigma. Nevertheless, he'd lost in the second round. He chided himself for his weakness, but decided that it simply meant he needed to strengthen himself. The winner was the woman who had defeated his opponent, and the runner up was Calxiyn. After a moment's thought, he approached the girl. "Congratulations, Calxiyn. It would seem i was not wrong in believing in your strength to make it that far." Ra complimented. "By chance, what magics do you think you'll select?" He asked curiously.

As Charlotte continued onward, it had seemed like the final match had ended in a mere blink of an eye. As it were, As Ander started to express his thoughts, Charlotte did think that they had merit to them, they seemed to venture away from what she thought about the entire ordeal. "Ah, well, fighting amongst guild members could lead to lingering animosity between them, though, I think it's something different than that." Looking at the entire crowd she said, "Ander, do you know every member in our guild? Do you know what each are capable of? I believe that this isn't a way to rank each other and breed some form of festering hatred and rivalry, but more so give us a way to recognize the strength of everyone else in the guild, and in doing so, recognize our own weakness. A way to give us something to aspire to, and someone to compare against. Besides, now that all the fighting has ended, there isn't a person, even the one who defeated me, within the guild that I've grown a hatred towards for this. If anything, my respect for everyone and my own arrogance in my strength has gone down." She thought back to her earlier feeling of frustration, and wished to turn that into nothing more than motivation. It was at his comment that she seemed to know where she belonged that she let out a small chuckle. "Oh? Do I really seem so confident in myself?" Thinking more on it she said, "I still feel as though I do not entirely know what my true purpose is in this guild, or where I am even going. All I know is where I wish not to head in life, and work to make sure that I do not go down that path."

 

Aias lit up a fat blunt with his home boy Rho because **** winning the tournament yo. #blazeit​

Calxiyn turned to Ra, her hair following her head to perfectly go over her shoulder. She looked at him before blushing, as he wasn't wearing his armor and that had made her flustered. "You believed in me?" She asked. She then smiled. "Well, thank you." She grinned at him cheerfully. "What Magics? Well, I haven't thought much about it." She pondered this thought, and then an idea stroke her."Maybe a Dragon Slayer! That would be cool, like Caliborn..." Her thoughts went off to look around for Caliborn, but she put her attention back to Ra quickly as she couldn't see him. "Well, I think I'll pick Celestial Spirit Magic for sure, since my whole weapon is a Keyblade it's fitting." She shrugged. She moved her hair out of her face. She spoke as she adjusted her shall "What about you, have you decided?"

 

Ra crossed his arms. "I could see that fitting you quite nicely. We're allowed to choose three, no? I may just take up celestial spirit magic myself. Outside of that, I think the one I'd most like to have is Arc of Embodiment. It seems as though it would suit my style of fighting." That magic had always seemed to call out to him. He only hoped his poor performance in the tournament didn't get in the way of that. "Perhaps we should go on our next mission together and test them out?" The blonde man asked, inviting Calxiyn with him on wherever his travels took him next. She was stronger than she looked. He'd be glad to have her with him. ​

Calxiyn's eyes widened. "Together?" She questioned. She then blushed furiously and looked away from him. "But with everything that happened on the island, I mean, don't you want to go with your friends? I don't think they'll want me with them." She poked her fingers together nervously and absentmindedly. She then raised her head up to look at him again, and in a rush voice she said, "I'd like to go with you though! I surely can't deny such an invitation."

 

The smile on Ra's face changed to that of an understanding look. "Calxiyn. I know now you bore us no Ill will. You only did what you thought was right. No one should begrudge you for that. I will see to it that I make you feel welcome, wherever we may go." He returned once again to a smile as she accept his invitation. Perhaps even brighter than before. "It's settled, then. I look forward to the time we can journey together. For now, though, let us enjoy ourselves here. After all, you've just proven yourself one of the strongest in Sapphire Eclipse. You should be proud." He complimented. ​

Calxiyn's blushed again at Ra's words again. She looked flustered and slightly embarrassed. She put her hand over her face to hide a widening smile. She looked away again shyly. "Thank you, Ra, I'm glad that I have you looking out for me." She mumbled through her chest-poundings.

 

Ander's pov:



Charlotte went on about fighting among guild members and how it could lead to lingering animosity between them. "There should not be any fighting in the first place. It is all a pointless thing. Darkness comes from where hatred begins. Really the guild should be one, but the more I see of the guild the more and more divided it seems to become. Everyone is fighting. Everyone is so unhappy. Everyone is searching for something. The guild is sopost to be one unit, but it does not seem like it will ever be possible. I guess that that is my fault for letting it get this far." That was when Charlotte asked him if he knew everyone in the guild. What each are capable of doing. "There was a time that was a simple answer of a yes." He begin to think of the training guild he was apart of. How he knew of everyone strengths and weakness. What everyone was good at. "Charlotte do you know what yours is? What you are capable of doing." Charlotte then went on about the tournament not being a way to rank each other and breed some form of festering hatred and rivalry, but more so give us a way to recognize the strength of everyone else in the guild, and in doing so, recognize our own weakness. "I knew my weakness before the tournament. Before coming to this guild. You are only strong as you want to be. Strength is relative for the most part." The fighting was over. Charlotte then asked 'Oh? Do I really seem so confident in myself?' "You do. You always seem so sure of yourself. What you want. That your true purpose is with this guild. I cant say the same thing. I want to help, but there is only so much I can do. I really do not know anymore." Charlotte then said, 'All I know is where I wish not to head in life, and work to make sure that I do not go down that path.' "I do not think that will work for me. My path is already set." Then there was something he wanted to ask her. Well a few things. He looked around at the various guild members. How to ask what he wanted to. He wondered if he would ever get the chance. As far as he knew she did not go though what he did. It did not hurt to ask what she was like though. "What was your childhood like? What magic's are you interested in?"
