"I see. Thank you very much. I suppose I should see what Thea thinks when she is better suited to thinking about such things." Vance said formally. He noticed Thea standing up and walking away and once he'd said his piece, Vance turned to follow her. "I must go now. Thea will probably need me because of her fatigue." Incidentally, the man he was talking to seemed to be distracted with this Leo character's relationship status so there was no point in staying around. Thea needed putting to bed. He walked briskly to catch up, then spotted someone talking to her. Judging by the look on his face, the way he regarded her, the body language, the look behind the eyes... That was no friendly look. If this man had a problem with Thea then he would deal with Vance Dorian too. It seemed that he knew her name, that meant he knew her from somewhere. His suspicions heightened. A grudge perhaps?
"What do you want with my daughter?" Vance demanded, looking straight into his eyes. He was ready to set alight the Phoenix Coat at will.




"I guess there must be. I wonder if they're all as weird as yours." Alessia replied. She folded her arms and leaned back, thinking about Virgo's apparent weirdness. Something struck her. Back in her town, there were a few spiritual people who talked about star signs. She was almost certain that was one of them. "Hey, Zephyr. You ever heard of zodiac signs? They're star signs. Weird kind of superstition really, I don't know if there's any magical relation but, Virgo is one of them. Pretty sure apparently my mom was one. Something about when you're born? Could be something to do with that. If you're right and there's more then, if they're the same thing, then there's probably a key for every spirit." That was her best guess at what was going on with it. She didn't remember which one she was meant to be though. She only remembered her mom's because she was always talking about what that meant. She didn't get it really. Some people's superstitions were weird, but if she'd learned anything at the Guild, it was that superstition came from somewhere.




"Well, clearly I don't know him given that I never knew you before you joined this Guild. As a matter of course, what Guild were you in?" Caliborn asked. He didn't exactly believe Jack's story thus far. The man was an average Wizard - At best, from what he could sense. There was definitely nothing to give the impression of actually being powerful enough to warrant being second in command. Which made him wonder, which guild was he part of? It couldn't be a particularly large, or even important one. With his skill, he wouldn't have made it anywhere near the top. Also, what the hell kind of guild was he in that didn't even have many wizards? From what he could gather from what the man had been saying, only he, Varrik and this other man were the wizards in the Guild. Could that even be considered a Wizard's Guild? "I'm sorry to hear that your other guild mates died. If Varrik is indeed alive as you say, then where is he? And surely, you are no longer relevant. You're not part of that Guild anymore- You left that behind when you joined Sapphire Eclipse. This person, whoever they may be, should leave you alone now. Besides, even if they do come here, we have Evanora, myself and other powerful wizards. They won't be an issue."​

 

Jack's pov:

"Well, clearly I don't know him given that I never knew you before you joined this Guild. As a matter of course, what Guild were you in?" Caliborn had said. "I don't think it had a name, it was far to small to have one or if it did then Varrik never said what it was." He said. "If Varrik is indeed alive as you say, then where is he? And surely, you are no longer relevant. You're not part of that Guild anymore- You left that behind when you joined Sapphire Eclipse. This person, whoever they may be, should leave you alone now. Besides, even if they do come here, we have Evanora, myself and other powerful wizards. They won't be an issue." Caliborn had said. "I never said he was alive or dead. I said I didn't know but felt I would know if Varrik was dead. His name is Nevil. He only going to leave me alone because he doesn't know were I am. Like I said when I fought him he wasn't trying at all. He used the weakest spells possible. He wanted to test me for something. For what I do not know. I didn't leave, it was disbanded because everyone died or they think everyone is dead. (technically he is also a member of that guild) I wouldn't change meeting all of you though. It has been nice. If Varrik is not dead I felt he would have shown up at Evenora guild master meating. He could have been there being a guild master, but it was disbanded so I don't know. (up to Cal/al if he was there, yes he is alive, Jack doesn't know either way though) I also should clarify I only became second in comand because Nevil wasn't fit for it. I wouldn't consider myself second in comand though. It was just giving to me by word by Varrik, nothing offical. If the others were around that I never met I am sure they would have got it instead of me. (Varrik is old too) Varrik saw the Evil in him before I did. Nevil probably killed them all. He could verry well be stronger then anyone we fought so far. It was a private guild I think. I only got in because master found me at the age of three. I was also one of the only three wizards there Varrik, Nevil and myself. If there were more wizards they were either older the Varrik and died or Nevil hunted them down before I met them. So there could have varry well been many but Nevil probably killed them. He didn't fit what the guild was about. I assumed he got kicked out. The rest were either Villagers without homes or non magic people. I do know he killed villagers at the vary lest if he didn't kill the members of the guild. If he didn't kill them they died somehow." He finshed clearly upset. It showing on his face. He showed Caliborn a picture of Nevil. He knew the others were dead he saw a report on it from the people who disbanded the guild.

Tessa blushed with embarrassment when both Conrad and Silvia noticed her wound. "It's fine-" She was cut off as Silvia took her hand, and bit her lip. The liquid stung a little bit before the pain disappeared as the skin knitted together. "Um..." She stammered, surprised for a moment. "Thank you." Her tone mimicked her expression as she pulled her hand back and examined the newly healed palm. "That was very kind." See now, why couldn't she do that. "Do you have healing magic?"

She glanced back at Conrad uncertainly before stepping back to his side. "Maybe we could eat together?" She suggested quietly to Conrad. "Unless you want to eat by yourself, or if you just want to eat with me, I guess I don't know how this works..." she was rambling now. "I'm Tessa. I'm new." She waved at Beucette and Silvia shyly.

 

Ander's pov:



He stood by Thea. He had gotten there somewhat late so he had no clue what was going on. She was in the guild. He was being the one that offered the girl a better life by joining the guild and all she did was turn her back on him. Was it just for the dark guild she served or something else? Then he noticed that the girl was tired. He let out a sigh. "Are you ready to serve the guild now? To help it?" His voice was not threating when he said this really all he wanted to know is if she was ready for it. He waited some time. He offered it to her once before. What was stopping her from turning her back on the guild again? "You should get some rest Thea. Should you want it I can help you with your magic." That was when a crazy man came up and said, 'What do you want with my daughter?' Daughter?, Daughter he almost laughed. The man standing before him was far to young to be Thea's father. What was this man trying to pull? There was no way that this man was Thea's father. So what was he getting at? What did he have to gain? Maybe he wanted to hurt her, for being in a dark guild? He wanted something, what he could not say, but the man was a lie. "What are you doing here?" The man was here for something, he could not say if he was apart of the guild or not. Was he was new? What would it be this time? After Damian he was not sure he could handle any more craziness. "I know that you are far to young to be Thea's father. So what is it you are really after?" His voice with curiosity and not much else. Did the man know Thea was apart of a dark guild before? She had enough trauma for a life time. He could not say what the man's goal was, but if the past people was anything to go by it was not good. For now it would be best to limit what he said to the man. The less the man knew about Thea the better. What was with running into every single new guild member? He was not going to let this man hurt Thea. If the man attacked him then he had every right to defend himself. If the man did attack him he would not be for long. It was a huge no, no to attack another member of the guild.

 

Conrad Heinrich Adelbrecht Carsten von Eisenstein II

He merely watched as Silvia took care of Tessa's wound, he only had in mind to clean it up, possibly with some alcohol and bandage it up properly, but this was a lot better. Tessa was rather surprised about it all. "I don't mind at all, I'd rather have it be eaten fresh than have to throw it out later because it spoiled..." Conrad said. Alright that's 5 servings claimed, one left. "Well there's one thing left to be done and with Tessa helping, it'll go perfectly fine, but thank you for the offer anyways." Tessa then moved back to standing beside him asking him quietly whether he wanted to eat alone, with just Tessa or all of them together. He didn't really care all too much which option was chosen, except for the eating alone, he'd much rather have some company. "Shhh, it's okay calm down, take a few deep breaths. I wouldn't mind the company while eating, whether it's just you or all of them doesn't matter much to me. Come on we should finish up the dumplings." He said quietly to Tessa in a soothing tone as she was clearly not feeling okay as indicated by the rambling. He turned back to sift the flour, baking powder, salt and pepper into the bowl adding the shredded suet and the dried mixed herbs. "Tessa, if you could add in the chopped Parsley and add in a little bit of milk to the bowl, until I say there's enough in there." Conrad said stirring the contents of the bowl so that the seasoning would be present in most of the dough they were about to make. "Oh I nearly forgot, I am not sure if I have met you two before, I'm Conrad, pleased to meet you." He said addressing Beucette and Silvia

She followed Conrad's directions, breathing deeply until her mind was clear and her thoughts were calm. She grabbed the parsley, gently dumping it into the bowl before grabbing the milk. Eyeing the cloudy liquid suspiciously, she began to pour it into a bowl, waiting until Conrad told her to stop before setting it back on the counter, and screwing on the lid.

"That's....really cool." Tessa replied to Silvia as she turned around, for lack of a better word. Because it was. She could fix things. "Did it take you a long time to learn? And did you have someone teach you?" Perhaps with both Damian and Silvia's teachings, she could figure out something in the middle. All of this of course, somehow after she found someone to train her magic properly. But she could sort that out after the meal. Her stomach was rumbling with the scents that were drifting from the pot of stew, and while she was sure the dumplings would turn out find under Conrad's direction, they kind of looked strange at the moment. She was getting ahead of herself, she decided. Damian had probably agreed to help her just out of nicety, and she hadn't even asked Silvia yet. Calm down, girl. The man Caliborn first. Then other people later. After the meal. She nodded to herself. Right. Good. a plan.

 

It wasn't long after his brief interaction with Trevor that Leo had headed into the back where the kitchen was. There he found Silvia treating someone's wound. He didn't recognize the girl who's injury was being treated, nor did he recognize the other two people that were there as well. They must have been some other guild mates that he didn't know. Leo moved further into the kitchen, specifically closer to Silvia and the girl she was treating. "What happened?" He asked, making his presence known at the same time.

Through the rabbit hole

The thought mentioned in Cal's post did go through his head as he turned towards his ad visor (who I don't know who is supposed to be). "What do we do?"

"Who knows." Zephyr simply stated, shrugging his shoulders. He certainly hopped not, granted he didn't think Virgo was all that weird. Taking into the accounts that Alessia had pointed out, yeah she sounded weird. Otherwise she seemed loyal to whoever was her "master', despite the fact that she thanked him for separating her from Everlue. So he could probably count on her in times of need, if he became a celestial spirit wizard. No use getting ahead of himself at this point.

"Your mother was a Zodiac Sign?" That was the first thing Zephyr responded with after Alessia had talked about Zodiac Signs. Zephyr had heard of them, but that was as far as his knowledge on them actually went. While he doubted it, there was no real way of knowing for certain whether or not a human could be a zodiac sign. Maybe he misheard her and she meant something else related to the Zodiac signs. That too was an option.

 

Ander's pov:



He watched Thea. Thea need rest and all other things were secondary. That was when she said 'Stop it! Stop it both of you! I don't like it! Stop fighting.' That was interesting. She had attacked the guild yet she did not want or like fighting. Had she changed or was she always like this trapped in the way of the dark guild. "You are free to make your own choice now Thea." He would let her too. He stood there and said to both of them. "I do not like fighting, but people fight for all sorts of reasons. They get hurt and in the end it is not really worth it." He then looked to Thea. "We can talk later Thea get some rest. Oh and Thea do not forget my offer," he said with a smile. He then turned to the man standing there. "How do you know Thea?" That was when he decide that this could happen latter. "She needs rest and other things." The other things that Thea needed he was not sure the man could give her, but there was knowledge everywhere. He then walked away letting Thea get the rest she needed. Whatever happened he could not say. He was so tired of running, from hiding and from everything. He was beginning to think that the guild was going to stay the same. He just continued to walk away, maybe it was time to just let things happen.

 

Vance narrowed his eyes at the pathetic mongrel before him. Who did this man think he was? He was nothing. He had no right to speak that way to one of his betters. Especially, to a girl and more so to his daughter.
"Thea, please go upstairs." Vance spoke, less the gentle father and more the stone cold nobleman. "The adults need to have a talk. I'll be along soon to check on you." He would now address the fool's less impetuous remarks in his daughter's presence before correcting his mistakes. And they certainly needed correcting. However, as always, the nobleman's face was impassive. He would not show his irritation at all. Certainly not in front of Thea. Once she was gone, because she would surely listen. She was a well educated young lady after all.
"Thea is my adopted daughter as of recently. I am protecting her from unscrupulous characters who speak of servitude. My daughter, like me, like the other people here is above that. We do not serve this Guild. We are members of it. You would be wise to remember that before you step too far out of your place." Vance answered. "As for what I want? I want you to stop harassing and causing distress to my daughter. I am well aware that she needs rest and I was about to help her up to her room before you intervened. You will stay away from her henceforth, mongrel. You spoke uncouthly to a Strive and now, the Dorian family. Do not invoke our wrath or you shall soon find yourself shorter of friends, fortune and welcome than you already are. Your manner is poor - Lacking in politeness and common decency. You will stay your tongue in my presence and hers and you will from this point on listen to me as due punishment for your insolence. These terms cannot be negotiated."

"I have been troubled enough by fools today. Do not add your worthless name to the list. You have not the stature to address me in such a way. I will tolerate it from certain people who are worthy. As you might have guessed, you are not one of them." Vance narrowed his eyes, a dangerous glint entering them. "Kneel, lowiife and make your apologies. If fighting is as needless as you claim, then you will surely see that this is the correct course of action. Unless of course, you wish to add Hypocrite to the list of derogatory terms already applicable to you."​

 

Ander's pov:



The man sent Thea up to her room. Then the man came up to him. Thea was this man's adopted daughter. Well that was new. "Good for you I thing she needs someone to keep her happy." 'I am protecting her from unscrupulous characters who speak of servitude. My daughter, like me, like the other people here is above that. We do not serve this Guild.' "Perhaps serve was not the right word. We do what is best in the end." 'As for what I want? I want you to stop harassing and causing distress to my daughter.' "That was what I was intending. I want to help her. When the others of guild wanted to take her down I stood in the way. I saw her for more then what the others members did. I saw her as a scared child in the wrong place at the wrong time. In a way I saved her." Dorian family? That name. "You are a noble?" It was question, but more of a statement. 'Do not invoke our wrath or you shall soon find yourself shorter of friends, fortune and welcome than you already are.' "I have no friends and as for fortune there is nothing that would be worst then I already heave." 'If fighting is as needless as you claim, then you will surely see that this is the correct course of action.' "Fighting is not needed. I fight because I have to, not because I want to. I only fight people to stop them and never to hurt them." In the end he wanted to help Thea, but it was up to her not him. "Almost anyone can use magic, but it takes more then that to be a mage."

 

Conrad Heinrich Adelbrecht Carsten von Eisenstein II

Conrad focussed on the bowl to get the dough just right and told Tessa when there was enough milk in there, he covered his hands in flour so the dough wouldn't stick to his hands and started kneading it. "That's alright, Silvia and you don't have to clean up but if you want to help, be my guest." Conrad said continueing to knead the dough. Tessa inquired along a familiar line of questions once more, she sure was eager to learn about healing magic and medicine. It never hurt to know about such things, true but he didn't think it was something for him, though could see the appeal of being able to heal wounds and cure ailments. It was then that he noticed another bloke coming in asking what happened, it didn't really feel like his place to answer. Funny really how they all noticed the small wound of Tessa, but somehow failed to notice all the scratches in his own face. He kept his face to the pan for now, veiling it a little with his long hair. While he was feeling better than earlier, a lot better at that, but he couldn't strain himself too much, he still felt pain with certain movements and breathing stung, but he wouldn't show it, he figured that as long as Tessa kept the attention on her, he wouldn't have to explain it all. When Silvia told the newcomer that she had asked Conrad for some stew he assumed this was the aforementioned Leo. When he was satisfied with the dough he started dividing it into 12 roughly equal parts and form these into balls. He figured he could save some time by putting the dumplings on top of the stew right now and have them simmer with the stew and proceeded with his idea. Now all that had to happen was wait for about half an hour, adjust the seasoning if necessary and dig in. His own stomach was growling now as well. He'd have some company for dinner and what happened after that? He didn't know, maybe he'd try to go back to sleep or atleast rest some more, but that wasn't his concern right now.

Meanwhile...

"Well, it's alright, I think you'll be here for a while... can't remember how long I've been here honestly... As to why, well the Queen was being a jealous little *****, you surpassed her in beauty and she wasn't having any of that, so she ordered you killed.... That you're here with me is rather odd though.... I'm just the spirit in the mirror.... and last I checked dead people don't go to mirrors" The spirit said to Miss White "Everything is gonna be alright, I'm sure of it."

 

"Not merely perhaps- Serve was an incorrect word to use." Vance corrected harshly, but heard the man out regardless. It seemed that he tried to protect her before. While interesting, it made ultimately little difference. He would not ask this second rate Wizard for help training his daughter unless none of the S-Classes were available to do it. Unless of course, she wanted it. Still, this man did try and help her before and seemed to want to now. He would give him the leniency of asking if she would want this person's help. Although, that didn't stop him from immediately spotting an opening. "Somehow, I am really not surprised that you have no friends. Believe me, that is saying something considering that I am hardly popular here." Yes, he helped Thea, but he was impolite so he would take what jabs he could. Besides, he needed to ensure the man was fully aware of who he was dealing with.
"By virtue of your helping Thea, I shall spare you the dishonour of kneeling. I shall even ask if she is willing to consider you an option for training her. But you will give me your name first, and then you will leave me be for now. I am tired of the insolence of people." Vance spoke. He cared not for this fool's philosophies on what was a mage and what was not. He was a nobleman and a politician first and a Wizard second. Matters of wizardry were of no concern to him. As soon as he had done enough here, he would return home and to politics and secure a new age of Dorian dominance on the political spectrum with his adopted daughter and through her, the Strive family on his side. And she would be better than he. Vance knew that little girl had the talent to surpass him in every way. Perhaps not politics, but she could be a better Wizard, a better person, parent... He wanted that for her. Reflecting on that, he felt tired. He wanted to rest. Once he was done here, he would check on Thea and go to sleep. Hopefully Conrad and that Tessa were gone. Then he could have his turn to rest, although he did not put it past them to disturb him out of spite. ​

Tessa listened to Silvia's response, before waving shyly at Leo. From the way the two talked to each other, she would have guessed they were a little more then friends. Unsure of what to say, she returned to Conrad's side, watching him quietly as she gripped the hem of her shirt silently. The other woman, Beucette hadn't spoken more then a few words, and her silence was making Tessa a little more nervous. It's alright. She told herself. They're all friends here. And it seemed no one had noticed Conrad's injuries, or heard about what had happened. Good.

"I can take over, Conrad, if you want me to. You shouldn't strain yourself, Damian said." She murmured quietly, to keep the others from hearing.

 

Ander's pov:



'Somehow, I am really not surprised that you have no friends. Believe me, that is saying something considering that I am hardly popular here.' "I have gotten use to it. After eight years with out it become apart of you." He as not saying that this man would. Being popular that was something that he did not think of. People would could think what they want. "You can please some of the people some of time, but you can not please everyone all the time. At some point there will be someone left unhappy and that is just thee way things are." 'I shall even ask if she is willing to consider you an option for training her. But you will give me your name first, and then you will leave me be for now. I am tired of the insolence of people.' "I do not clam to be the best, but I do know a lot about magic, over twenty years will do that." The man wanted his name. "Name is Ander, Ander Windfire. Now would you kindly return the favor noble Dorian?" How was it that a noble ended up at a guild? For the most part he always thought that they liked to be in one spot. Moving around was odd. He guessed that all sorts of people joined a guild of different reasons. He had joined to help people, but he was not sure why he was still here. Cassandra said that he had helped people, but he was not so sure. He felt like had not really did anything. "I want to help people so that somehow they are better off then I am." This was his chance to change something, but in the end he was not sure if it would make a difference. Thea would be able to chose and he was find in whatever she did chose. Can one person make a big difference? Sure for one person, but to make a big impact there needed to be more. He could make a difference on one, but to change everything he did not know. He guessed that all you had to do was move from person to person. Start at one then go onto the next and take it one step at a time.

 

Conrad Heinrich Adelbrecht Carsten von Eisenstein II

Conrad just lost himself in his thoughts, it wouldn't be too long until the food would be done. Tessa was once more by his side, not a surprise, but still pleasant to have a friend at his side. Though he wondered what would happen when she felt like she had paid off the debt she felt she owed him. Would it have been wasted effort once more? Or would he have left such an impression that the friendship would continue? He forcibly derailed that train of thought, no use thinking about the inevitable end and just try to enjoy the company while it lasted. His teacher had once adviced him that when he had voiced a similar thought. He heard Tessa softly murmuring something. He turned his head slightly so she could atleast get a glimpse of his face. "It's okay, Tessa, I appreciate the concern, I really do... I'm trying my best not to strain myself... Not much left to be done really, it'll be done soon and then we can finally eat something..." He whispered softly in reply. The silence of Beucette was a little bit unnerving

 

Snow White


"The Prince thought horrified at the same time instantly fell in love with the girl, unbeknownst to his adviser... his adviser... who is... me!" Calxiyn then spun around, and transformed.



"My Prince, this is a most horrific site! We must tell the Queen that her Step-Daughter has been murdered immediately. I hear she is a sorceress, maybe she can still save the girl." The adviser... advised.


Mission Tips:

Calxiyn will feed you lines if your character doesn't know what to do.
Calxiyn will get huffy if you stray too much from the story she's telling, so try to act in character.
Your character can still be awkward while speaking etc.
Calxiyn will also do special effects for you if you give her a 'cue'.
For Halloween Missions I will use Black and Orange Text.



An Operatic Tragedy:





"The path is perilous. She avoids swamps, she loses her footing! Her shoes tumble off. The sleeve of her dress gets caught on a twisted limb. She comes to wild rapids and can go no further." Calxiyn spoke dramatically.

"How should I get across?"

"Then, Suddenly, a large troll appeared!" Calxiyn, knowing Malkira would surely be up for this, dragged him into her scene.

 

Gexln used Beast Soul Lizardman.
Gaius used Quick Blitz. He did 4 damage, but with Strength, Speed and Weapon it dealt 48 damage.
Veilen used Cure on Ra. He healed 5 damage, but with Magic he healed 15 damage.
Thomas used Thunder. He did 6 damage, but with Magic and Weapon he did 30 damage.
Charlotte used Barrier Surge. It did 6 damage, but with Defence she dealt 17 damage.
Overall, everyone dealt 95 damage. Mikasa's defence reduced 21, so she takes 74 damage.

Mikasa used Poison Dragon's Spiral Jaw on Gexln, but Charlotte got in the way.

Chaos Blade: RNG to perform a series of charging attacks that blind, bind or confuse some foes. (45 damage + guaranteed status effects)
Poison Dragon's Crushing Fang: The user attacks their target with poison-covered fingertips, from which a poisonous mist trails. (60 damage, extra 20 over 1-3 turns, 100 MP)
Poison Dragon's Fang Thrust: The user generates a wave of poison, shaped like a large-fanged snake head, and sends it towards the target, stopping their incoming attacks by having the wave "bite" them (80 damage, extra 30 over 1-3 turns, 140 MP)
Poison Dragon's Spiral Jaw: The user jumps in the air and, when they are upside down, gathers poison on their legs and kicks the opponent while rotating. This spell is highly reminiscent of the Dragon's Claw Spells employed by several other Dragon Slayers. (100 damage, extra 40 over 1-3 turns, 180 MP)
Poison Dragon's Scales: The user swings their arm, generating a very large number of scale-shaped masses of poison, which are rapidly sent flying at the target in consecutive reprises. (70 damage per 1-3 scales, extra 15 damage per scale over 1-3 turns, 200 MP)
Dark Firaga: Launch a ball of dark fire that blinds some targets. (18 MP. 30 Damage)
Fission Firaga: Launch a ball of fire that explodes when it hits an enemy, catching nearby foes in the blast. (20MP, 35 Damage to target, 15 to others)
