It seemed to take an eternity to get through the guild and into the kitchen, but they managed it without incident. "That sounds good." She peered over Conrad's arm, finger moving down the list of ingredients as she mouthed the words to herself. There wasn't anything unfamiliar, and that was a good start. She wasn't a bad cook, but she wasn't sure how far the skill extended.

"Um, I'll start getting the stuff together?" She offered, heading for one of the further cupboards and opening it, to sift through the spices. Now that they were actually in the kitchen, her stomach began to rumble as she grabbed several different seasonings and brought them back to Conrad, gently setting them on the counter in front of him. "And I can cut the vegetables." She clarified. Once she found the blasted things.

 

Thomas used Fire. It did 4 damage, but with Magic and Weapon it did 31 damage.
Gexln used Shadow Dragon's Claw. It did 127 damage. With Strength, Magic and Weapon it did 221 damage.
Gaius used Binding Strike. It did 16 damage. With Strength, Magic and Weapon it did 44 damage.
Veilen used cure. It healed 5 damage, but with Magic it healed 10 damage.
Charlotte used Fire Surge. It did 29 damage, but with strength and magic and weapon it did 56.
In total most of Team King with special guest Gexln did... 352 damage!

Her defence reduced 30 damage. So basically they did 322.



"RAWR take that Gexln! You think you can take me?" Mikasa continued to yell generic angry things at people because she was pissed off and really, she just had a really bad temper. Also my ear hurts so screw writing a good post.

Ra took 19 damage off DoT.

Mikasa used Poison Dragon's Fang Thrust. It did 74 damage, but with Strength, Magic and Weapon it did 156 damage. Gexln's defence reduced 20, making her deal 136.

Poison Dragon's Spiral Jaw: The user jumps in the air and, when they are upside down, gathers poison on their legs and kicks the opponent while rotating. This spell is highly reminiscent of the Dragon's Claw Spells employed by several other Dragon Slayers. (100 damage, extra 40 over 1-3 turns, 180 MP)​

Poison Dragon's Scales: The user swings their arm, generating a very large number of scale-shaped masses of poison, which are rapidly sent flying at the target in consecutive reprises. (70 damage per 1-3 scales, extra 15 damage per scale over 1-3 turns, 200 MP)​

Dark Firaga: Launch a ball of dark fire that blinds some targets. (18 MP. 30 Damage)​

Damian was enraged by Ander's words "NO! You're wrong! Some people are just cruel and don't deserve the air they breathe! They can't be changed, there's no redemption, and if they are spared they will go on killing, they will go on abusing the good! The only right thing to do is rid the world of them!" Damian stomped around the room "You!" he pointed at Ander "And people like you, are the very reason these people go on doing what they do! You just lock them up and don't do anything else with them, so they carry on! They need to know that their behaviour is not tolerated and that the punishment is death!" Damian began to walk away "This whole guild, you're all so... so... lenient! The cruel and greedy need to be taught to fear! They need to fear the consequences of their actions if any progress is going to be made in this world!" Damian began to exit the room "I don't care what you have to say you're just like the rest of them!" he yelled over his shoulder at Ander as he walked away. Rage in his heart he stomped away, out of the guildhall. he gazed at the evening sky. He knew what he wanted, he knew what he needed to do, why was he so useless at it?

 

Meanwhile the chaos was occurring with Mikasa and everyone was generally distracted, Boreal was left alone in his cell. Well, he did make a deal with Mikasa. He played along, then he got free. Well, he played along and he saved Johanna so really he figured that whatever way he spun it, he was probably a free man. Besides, if Mikasa was half the handful that he thought she was, then everyone would be far, far too busy dealing with her to be worrying about little old him trying to claim some freedom around here. Honestly, these crazy Wizards were way, way, way more stressful than he thought. He supposed he'd have to go somewhere and he had considered joining up with them, but he got the impression that he was quickly running out of welcome. So, he did what any reasonable person in his situation would do: He looked out the window and judged the distance. Since Johanna had flown out, he figured he'd follow suit. Boreal climbed on to the windowsill and threw himself out.

The feeling of the wind rushing through his hair was wonderful. He engaged his magic again and formed up wings on to his back. They glittered off the setting sun and he slowly glided down to ground level. He didn't want to attract too much attention by flying away, so he decided to take the ground route. As he touched down, he heard the doors of the Guild Hall opening and someone very angry appearing outside. He sighed. He didn't recognise this one, but they could feasibly have been sent after him. After all, this guild was bloody huge. He began to back away, watching the man suspiciously for any signs of aggressive action.
"Do you want something?" Boreal demanded, stopping a few meters away. Ice began to run up his arms from his hands to prepare himself.​

"A sacrifice!" Clarissa exclaimed. "Without my crown what shall I be? I can't!" Clarissa pondered. "But I've got to know, please show me where to go." Clarissa awaited her answer



Snow White:

"The handsome Prince knelt down beside the young girl. Who could have done this? A thought that must have been going through the Prince and his Advisors head."

"Meanwhile..."

"Snow White' found herself cloaked in darkness, her body admitting the light. She looked ahead of her to see the Spirit Of The Mirror, no longer attending to the Queen."

 

Ander's pov:



He never said they could or could not be changed. That there is no redemption. To say and kill someone was wrong. It was not Damian's or his place to decide the fate of someone else. That was what the dark guilds have done to him and if he pushed that fate onto them he was no better then them. Then Damian said, 'And people like you, are the very reason these people go on doing what they do! You just lock them up and don't do anything else with them, so they carry on! They need to know that their behavior is not tolerated and that the punishment is death!' He never locked anyone way. He was in a prison himself and did not what that on anyone and again it was not his place to lock them up. Who was he to decide such a fate? He had seen his whole guild destroyed and to have another one following that was just.. He could not put up with it. Damian was right in one sense, most of the leaders were so useless and did nothing. The same fate would come on this guild if nothing changed. He watched Damian leave. There was nothing that he could do for the man. It was his choice what he wanted to do and there was not much he could do to change his mind anyways. He had experience, he had power, and he had knowledge, but in the end what good was it if he did not have anyone to share it with. He picked up the newspaper that Damian dropped on his way out putting it in his bag. He then turned to Cassandra he had forgotten that she was there. He then cast a healing spell on her once more. "Rest well." He the took a hold of the door and locked it from the inside and closed the door behind him. Now what? He guess he should check on the guild hall. He walked down the stars spotting Calborn talking to Jack well there goes that plan of fixing the guild and telling what had happened in the room. The next thing was Alessia. He had wanted to ask her something when they had returned he spotted her and gave her a wave saying come find me when you are ready. Alessia looked busy anyways. Well that was two people down and he did not know what to do. He continued to walk then spotted some one he knew standing by a man. "Thea Strive" he said as he came up to her and the man that stood by. More then anything he wanted to know if she changed at all, she was after all from a dark guild.

He helped Tessa gather all the ingredients required for the stew. "If you cut the carrots and the onions, that might save us some work later on." Conrad said as he started to cut little cubes out of the stewing steak. and coated them in seasoned flour. "About that nightmare... everyone got killed... they were there again, taunting me... this time around however, I was better prepared... got two of them.. the last one got away... but he returned and that's when Thea, Vance, you and she showed up... I was forced to watch how the last few Guild members were killed without being able to do something... it was then that I woke up..." He had cubed all the meat by now and proceeded with heating the dripping in a large saucepan and use it to brown the meat all over. The smell of it already starting to spread through the room. He kept his eye on the meet and moved a plate closer to put it on when it was all browned over. As it had all browned over he removed it from the pan and put it on the plate, leaving the fat in the pan.

Tessa moved to Conrad's directions, washing the vegetables in the sink before grabbing the chopping knife and getting to work. She moved slowly, but surely and hummed while she worked, her eyes on the slowly moving knife as it cut the carrots into little circular shapes. "That sounds awful." She replied to Conrad, her voice soft as she resumed humming.

She waited until she had finished the carrots to respond, leaving them in a small bowl next to Conrad's work station. "I don't see you as someone who lets others get the better of him." She grabbed the onion, examining it before setting to work on the tear inducing food. "I don't think you'd let them escape." The thought, and what it meant, sent a small shiver down her spine before she wiped her eyes, the juice from the onion tearing them up.

"Damned things." she swore softly.

"I'm sure you didn't let them get away..." She had said, not knowing the truth. He had met these men and he had let them get the better of him. He had let them get away. Not just that he had let them take Abigail. Leaving him with just a scrap of paper and the dreaded task of breaking the news to his father. His father wasn't pleased at all and though he didn't voice it he knew he was going over the usual mage dislike routine. The man atleast didn't go over it in his company and never treated him differently for it, but he knew it was still in him. Emotions played across his face as he went over this. He decided to get back to the stew and took the carrot and once it was done, the onion and put them in the saucepan, frying it gently until the onion started to soften. He grabbed the remaining seasoned flour and stirred it into the mixture he had in the pan and started to cook it until it was golden brown. "I'm sorry to disappoint you..." he said absent-mindedly his reaction to her remarking he wouldn't let others get the better of him, staying focused on the pan as to not meet her gaze. "If you gradually add the beefstock I'll stir it constantly as we bring it to boil." Conrad said returning to the task at hand

Tessa frowned at Conrad's words, but followed his directions. She made a face as some of it splashed her arm, and after she was finished, grabbed a towel to wipe her arm down with. The last thing she wanted was to go around smelling like stew. Not that it smelled bad, but she didn't think she would appreciate going everywhere smelling like food.

"Everyone makes mistakes, you know." Obviously, Tessa, since you are such a shining example of perfection. But this line of thought led her to something. "If we had both not made mistakes, we wouldn't have met." She offered, glancing at the man as he stirred the strangely colored liquid.

He continued to stir the mixture. "Add in the meat, vinegar and seasoning please." Conrad said, the girl did have a point. If they hadn't both made mistakes they hadn't run into each other. He was unsure how he felt about that. If he hadn't made the mistake he could still marry someone... He wouldn't have to deal with the feeling of getting caught between two sides. On the other hand he wouldn't have run into all the people here, some he considered friends and would only reinforce that feeling of loneliness. He would be as inexperienced as when he faced those three thugs and if they ever were to come back he wouldn't be able to do anything about it. Not that he could help from where he was right now... He went over it all and decided it was a good thing he was here. "Yeah, we wouldn't be here if that hadn't happened. It's just a bloody shame that someone dear to me had to pay for my screw up..." He said brining the pan to boil again to let it simmer after Tessa had added the ingredients.

At Clarissa's request, Alisa pointed east. "There, the east is where you will meet your fate."

 

As Slapstick: The Character was climbing out of the hellpit known as "inactivity" She was immediately drawn to a few things. Character interaction, Food, and Women. There seemed to be one place in particular with all three things. The kitchen with Conrad and Tessa in it. Beucette made her way to this kitchen, and merrily strolled in, probably interrupting something important. "Boy whatever you two are cookin' smells good. When's dinner?" She said, completing the pointless action for the sole purpose of posting something.

"It's just a bloody shame that someone dear to me had to pay for my screw up.." Tessa bit her lip as she peered over Conrad's shoulder to watch. She knew all about someone special having to pay the price. She turned away and grabbed the parsley, beginning to chop it up into fine pieces as she thought of a response. A good response. The voice behind her nearly startled her out of her mind, and her hand slipped along the knife, creating a wound along the palm of her hand. She hissed and quickly pulled the wounded limb away from the food before grabbing a towel and pressing it to the bleeding opening in her skin.

"Um..hi." She said to Beucette, hoping to ease the awkwardness that she felt. Hopefully I'm the only one who feels it. "I'm hoping soon, you'd have to ask Conrad, he's really the one who knows what he's doing." This also caused her to notice an up until now unnoticed girl, who was rummaging for things. "Hi." She said uncertainly again, this time to Silvia. "Do you need help?"

Conrad was focused on the sauce pan as Tessa peered over his shoulder, he could sense it. She then started to chop the parsley and he could hear the chopping of the knife on the wooden chopping board. As Beucette walked in and asked when dinner was done he heard different sound ending the repetitive sound of the knife striking the chopping board. He quickly turned around seeing they had a guest now, two at that. "It should be done in about another hour" Conrad told Beucette "and seeing there's more than enough, feel free to take some when it's done. That also goes for you." He said turning to Silvia. It didn't matter what either of them had heard him say. It wasn't exactly secret, perhaps maybe the details of his nightmare. He saw how Tessa was pressing a towel against her hand and the question as to what the sound had been was answered, not that he didn't recognise the sound of a blade biting into flesh. The knife had been used to cut carrots, onions and parsley which wouldn't do any harm as far as he was aware, but it never hurt to be cautious. With the stew simmering on the fire they had time to attend to other matters. Conrad turned to Tessa and stepped closer "We should clean that wound, just to be sure." Conrad said, taking note of how he used we instead of you. Then again they were cooking together so he thought nothing of it. He did wonder how Silvia had slipped in unnoticed, they were both caught up in thoughts, the cooking process and their conversation so it was hardly surprising.

Meanwhile somewhere far far away...

The spirit was busy minding his own business which wasn't all that interesting, mainly just listening to The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg as it had become his song. He was singing along reaching every note perfectly, when he was on the best part of the song he got interrupted by Snow White "Someone to save me. Something to save me from my hell. Our destina-... ... ... ... oh Hello... I thought I was all alone in here.... If I had known I would get visitors today I would have cleaned up and most certainly not been singing..." The spirit said rather awkwardly. "Who I am? Well, I'm Ronnie Pickering..." Conrad shot a quick glance to Cal to see if he could get away with it, trying to hold his laugh in, getting back into character "Better known as he Spirit of the Mirror... And you're Snow White.... does that mean... oh wow that lousy plan actually worked....Well my condolences Miss White, wait a second is that even how it works... damn bet no one ever thought out how to do this one... I'm sorry, can't say I've run into someone who's died before..."

 

As the fight continued it became ever more apparent how weak that Charlotte was in comparison to her opponent. Between the two dragon slayers, Mikasa and Gexln, it was nearly impossible to feel somewhat helpless as the two continued to display their powers at their fullest. Despite this clear difference in strength, though, she could not falter before her opponent. Mikasa may have been in the higher ranks of the guild, but Charlotte could still never abide by her threatening, or even harming, a trusted guild member for her own sadistic purposes. As such, with a shining aura around her body, Charlotte slammed into Mikasa with a barrier surge, only to jump in front and block for Gexln, stating, "even if he cannot take you alone, you cannot take all of us at once."
