"In any case Jack, if you need assistance with something I am happy to help. It sounds as if you've had a lot of trouble in your life." Caliborn had said. "I honestly don't know if you can help. Its a long story and you might be dealing with your own things to help me. I have only told part of it before, to Ren before he left. I want to figure out the answers on my own. I could easily ask the oracle them, but it wont be the same. He stopped for a moment. "I fought this strong guy once and only managed to beat him because he wasn't trying. He was evil, or appeared to be. (There is still more jack can say) People I was with said this guy killed Varrik my master. I'm not sure though. This is probably why i'm so worried about various things. I'm afaird he will attack you, the guild or find me. Even though I know I shouldn't be. He probably a lot strong then the last time I saw him too." He said in a wisper looking around afaird someone had herd him. "You probably have more important things to do then listen to my story or to help me. This is why I want to get to know you and the others in the guid. To make friends and prehaps help me evencally." He then showed Caliborn a picture of Varrik:

Before the child had a chance to order, Trevor was already working on getting her a drink. He was heating up some milk with some warm spiced flavouring. "She looks tired and pale. I would guess that she used up too much magic. I have seen it a lot in the younger wizards that pass through here, they will fight and they don't know where their magic ends. It is an important skill, you could know yourself out or even kill yourself if you use up too much or all of your magic store. Please try to be a little more careful." Trevor said, not really looking up at the two as he set the warm milk and the water on the bar for the two people. He couldn't figure out what their relationship one was though. He had overheard the new young girl was a misguided orphan, but the way this man talked to her and treated her, he cared for her in a deeper way then just a comrade.

Trevor turned around from the two trying not to ponder his thoughts for too long, but seeing how the man cared for the girl, he figured the man might be trying to help guild this girl, but being a new person in this guild himself, he might need his own guidance. Trevor was drying off cups when he turned to talk to Vance over his shoulder.
"I wouldn't let her get out of bed for a while if I were you. She is young so might want to be doing things but more she does slower her magic will regenerate and knowing this guild you don't know when we will be called out again. If it is not regained she might get herself into serious trouble on a mission. I've seen it happen before. Also I know figuring out magic and control is hard but I have two tips. Stick to one person helping, too many will only confuse her or you. Second is find the root of the problem holding you back. Deep in your own emotional issues or even suppressed memories that might not hurt anymore. Face them. If you can face whatever is holding you back, you can move forward. Don't think it is all dealing with the here and now." The S-class advised Vance. With that he turned back to his work.

Thea let Vance lift her onto the stool at the bar and sat quietly as Vance asked her what she wanted. She didn't know and was too tired to think. She was grateful when the man just made her a drink and went on to talk to Vance. Thea just enjoyed sitting there sipping on her hot milk. It was all making her more tired and relaxed, but by the sounds of things she was overhearing, it wasn't a bad thing if she was tired and rested. Thea did her best not to listen in too much to their conversation because she wasn't addressed. She heard some but didn't pay as much mind to it, instead just finishing her milk and resting her head on the bar. Perhaps she would find her way to bed herself soon.

Conrad was panicking not realising he had just sent Tessa falling to the floor. He then felt two soft, warm hands touch his face and made him look in a specific direction. There she was Tessa, head still attached to her body. He took a few deep breaths to calm himself down. The nightmare had been burned into his mind and he couldn't forget about it even if he wanted to. He had hoped tonight would have been a quiet night, he had known it was bound to happen again soon, but had hoped it wouldn't have been tonight. He looked Tessa in the eyes with a saddened look on his face. "
I'm sorry, Tessa... " He said softly "I'm so sorry....." Not even knowing he had caused her to fall from the bed. "It felt so real.... Thea... Vance... you... the cold gauntlets...." He couldn't make himself finish the sentence as he could feel real tears roll down his cheeks. He felt ashamed of his tears and of feeling the dream had been reality. He didn't know that Tessa had heard him mumble things in his sleep. He wiped his tears away trying to regain his composure.

Tessa gently used her thumbs to brush away the tears that Conrad missed before lowering her hands to her lap. "It doesn't help to minimize it as a dream." She murmured, her mind backtracking for a moment to when he had spoken in his sleep, "But it was. Nothing has happened." She smoothed the blankets in front of her for a moment to ease the silence. "I used to have nightmares, too. But whenever it got too real, I would always look for clocks." She smiled slightly, picking at a loose thread in the coverlet. "Have you ever noticed, dreams don't actually have them? It's strange, but it helped. If I couldn't find a clock, then it was a dream."

"Nothing to be ashamed of in being frightened of a dream." She added.
Conrad looked like he desperately could have used a hug, but Tessa wasn't sure how to go about such an action. She hadn't hugged anyone, besides in greeting, after her parents' accident. "Um....do you need a hug?" she asked, somewhat shyly.

"It should be fine." Leo said. He looked towards the bar to see just who was there. Aside from the grown man and little girl that he didn't know, he saw that it was Trveor who was behind the counter. He shouldn't mind if they went behind the counter to use the kitchen, but it would be a good idea to ask. Just to be safe. "Wait here, I'll go ask if it's okay."

Leo then made his way up to the counter. He didn't bother taking a seat since hopefully he wasn't planning on being up here long.
"Hey Trevor, is it okay if I use the kitchen?" It was probably odd, an S-class asking another S-class for permission to use something, but it doesn't hurt to make sure.

"I haven't actually seen it clean anything but, I do know that it can fight." Of course, that was when Virgo was being used by Everlue. He hadn't see her fight since then. "She can also dig tunnels." Alessia was still eyes the key with an odd look on her face. Guess mentioning that this particular spirit was a girl had sparked some interest in it. As for why, he has no idea.

Conrad listened to her as she said she used to have nightmares to and something about looking for clocks, he kept it in mind. A small smile appearing on his face as the soft thumbs wiped away the last of his tears that he had missed "Thanks, I'll keep it in mind.... I should have known it was a dream... She was there and that's not possible.." He said "And now that I think of it.... there was not a clock to be found in the Guild...." He pushed himself up breathing in sharply, as she had asked him if he needed a hug, it was an odd question that was for sure, but at this moment he needed it more than anything, just to be sure she was still alive. He only nodded, looking her in the eyes as he pushed himself up further, taking the pain in the chest it caused him. As he sat upright he folded his arms around the girl and hugged her resting his head on her shoulder for a moment. He felt reassured that his senses weren't playing tricks on him. He let go of her and said "Thank you... I really needed that..." He said having regained some of his composure.

"So, let me get this straight - Your Celestial Spirit in that key in a maid who may or may not clean, digs tunnels and fights?" Alessia summed up. "That is a weird combination of stuff. I would have thought those things summoned knights and powerful ancient wizards, not battle maids." Magic, she realised, made no sense sometimes. She didn't get this whole Celestial Spirit business at all. How did they even work? Why were they bound to the key? What did the key even do, did it unlock something? You know, I'm just going to keep things simple when I expand my magic. Air is enough for me, I don't need any of this weird spirit stuff that doesn't seem to make that much sense.
"Anyways, yeah. You should go find Evanora or one of the S-Classes, maybe they'll tell you how to make it work. I have no idea." She suggested. She also felt a little less suspicious about the spirit now. She mentally told herself off, knowing that it was somewhat irrational to be suspicious of it in the first place. It wasn't as if she- Oh. Right. That explained it.

"I see. So, somebody killed your master then, and you think that they're going to come after you?" Caliborn said, trying to confirm what he was being told. Jack told it a little confusingly, truth be told. Why would he have held back when trying to kill Jack after killing his master? And people he was with...? Something about this doesn't make an awful lot of sense. "Honestly Jack, I doubt that this individual that killed Varrik will return to finish you. You said that he was probably holding back before. If he was holding back then, he probably didn't want to bother killing you. He won't be back. Most people tend to get their business sorted there and then. But, eventually, I am sure that you'll be able to find some people to take to deal with this man if you think that you need to." He didn't know enough about the situation to judge, but murder was murder. Dealing with the one who killed Varrik was probably a good idea.

Vance blinked in surprise a couple of times as the man at the bar began to give advice. Vance stayed quiet and listened to his explanation. He hadn't a clue as to what was best, so he deferred to the man's knowledge. It also occurred to him that this must be one of the S-Classes, given that only they and Johanna ever handled the bar. What the man was saying was interesting for sure. The root of it could have been in the past. Immediately, Vance thought of what Thea said had happened to the Strive family. The whole place burned down when her magic went haywire. That was probably part of the problem, but even still was that just it? It sounded like things weren't stable, even before that. But who was going to teach her to control it? Could he do it? He wasn't all that sure, to be truthful. He did accidentally cast spells when he was frustrated, most embarrassingly in that trade meeting. He shivered when he remembered that. They had to settle for less and actually give a minor reimbursement because of that. Still, in helping her control her serious issue he could perhaps learn to deal with his own minor one.
"Thank you for the advice. As you correctly noted, I am new to the Guild and had no idea where to start with helping Thea control her magic." Vance replied. "Is there anyone at the Guild that you recommend asking for help from? If there was someone good at teaching control, I'd rather ask them than try myself and exacerbate the issue."

Caliborn had said. "I don't think he killed Varrik. I was told that he did. I think he was testing me when I fought him. For what I'm not sure. You don't know him like I do. I would have helped him if I could long ago. I know he is after me, but why I don't know. If I had a guess I say he wanted conrol of the guild I was part of. Thats why I was probably told he killed Varrik. He was our leader. The others that were there are dead, they were not wizards though. The reason I don't think Varrik is dead is because he was the strongest person I knew. I felt I would have felt something if he had died. I felt nothing. I went on a training mission to be a leader. I didn't even properly lead or anything. I became second in comand but never got the chance to properly lead. When I returned the human villagers we were helping said he died. Varrik and I are the only ones left. I couldn't stand it if I found out he was dead. The Evil guy if he wasn't trying to take over he was after something else. He will need to be delt with who knows what he is doing. I don't want to loss you guys too, after lossing everything else." He was shocked Caliborn didn't ask the Evil guys name. After saying what he said Jack become varry sad.

Tessa blushed, listening to the steady sound of Conrad's heartbeat before pulling away. "You're welcome." She said, blushing but smiling. She was fixing something. The excitement of making someone feel better caused her to nearly start bouncing on the mattress, but she managed to contain herself. "Did you want to try to sleep some more? Or we could go get food downstairs..." She herself wasn't hungry, but long days on the road had taught her to take her meals when she could, where she could. And hey, if there was hot food available, she wouldn't say no.

"Or if you don't feel well enough to move, I could go get you something." She offered, his circumstances coming back to her after her initial words. If
Vance or Thea were down there, it could get slightly intimidating, but she would have to face them sometime. Right?

He looked at Tessa, clearly seeing her blushing and smiling. He figured why she would be, she seemed so intent on fixing things and in a way this was fixing something. He sat with his back against the wall, holding the pillow against his chest, he inspected the bloodstain on the pillow. She then asked him if he was going to want to sleep some more or if he wanted to go and get something to eat. "
Well to be honest with you, I doubt I'll get any more sleep. And I may or may not have skipped a meal earlier so I could use some food. If I take it easy I think I'll be able to go with you, but before I do I think I should freshen up a bit." He said getting himself out of bed and walking slowly to the adjacent bathroom, he looked at himself in the mirror, the smaller scratches in his faces, just lines of clotted blood. He splashed some water in his face and washed out the blood that was still in his hair. He walked back into the bedroom and looked at Tessa "I'm good to go" He said, only to realise there were several tears in his shirt. He put on his coat and belts fastening his sword to his side to make himself a bit more presentable. He would be unable to hide all the wounds he had received but atleast he was presentable this way.

Tessa frowned with an exasperated sigh, but she couldn't help breaking into a little smile. "You can't go downstairs like that. Vance might be persuaded to attack me, and Thea, if she's down there, might get upset again. She didn't see what happened, remember?" There had been allusions made that Thea was in fact no better at controlling her abilities then Tessa. While Tessa was loathe to believe the whispers and rumors, it didn't hurt to be careful.

"So come on, change your clothes. There's gotta be something around here somewhere." She headed for the door, intending on giving the man some privacy. "Unless you need me to find them for you." She teased Conrad. "I'll be outside the door otherwise."

"My past? Well..." He thought for a moment, how much should he tell this man? He'd only just met him "I'm a member of the Vellister family. Heavily religious, their priests taught me healing and magic for a while. But then I was banished for... reasons. Stupid reasons really, there was nothing I could have done, it's just who I am. So for a while I wandered around aimlessly, homeless. I slept rough in forests and villages for a while. Until one day a kind family brought me in for the night and fed me. I was so so hungry, I remember that was the best tasting soup I've ever had" He paused as the memories came flooding back "I was only 13. Can you even imagine how grateful I was to this family? After sleeping out in the rain and storms for so long? my clothes were sodden and muddy, this family washed them for me. They had their own problems, they had to care for their blind old grandfather and they barely had enough food to feed themselves, but still they helped me. I was so happy I cried. After being there a couple of hours I had noticed certain symptoms in one of the children, they were sick, that was clear from all the coughing, but I knew what to do. I still had some medicine on me that I'd taken from home and I treated the young girl. If I hadn't been there she would have died. It was the least I could do, I felt so happy to help them as much as they'd helped me. That was when I found my calling, all I wanted to do was help people. From that day on I wandered village to village, trading my healing services for a place to stay and food to eat. I never asked for money, just supplies and shelter. I was happy" Damian smiled, but that smile suddenly became a dark look and Damian glared "years later returned to that village, to that family, to see them again, simply because they'd had such an impact on my life. When I arrived at the house though only the old blind man remained. The rest of the family..." Damian paused and held back sobs "...the rest of them were killed by bandits. They were good people! They didn't deserve this! It was heartbreaking to see the sadness in the old man's face, they'd left nobody behind to care for him, and they'd taken all the family possessions. I stayed, for months, just to care for this old man who had lost his family. At least he died in somebody's care, knowing that he had a friend. That's how all good people should die, safely and comfortably with their friends" Damian suddenly turned and looked at Ander with determination in his eyes "But those bandits deserve to burn in hell. People like them, who have no respect for human lives, who profit from the misery of others... no punishment on earth is enough to make them pay for what they've done. They all deserve to die. That's why I came here. i want to help the good, and rid the world of the cruel"

    (tldr) :p

The Vellister family? He was trying to think about that name to see if it was some name he had seen somewhere before, but got nothing. Damian went on about my training and how his parents trained him. He guess it was rare for someone to go to a training guild. Training guilds were rare in of them self. He did not think that there was any left that still ran. Most now he figured that people just came to full fledge guilds Over the years at the training guild he noticed that less and lest people came to such a place. Banishment? Now that was interesting. It seemed that he did not want to talk about it and in some way he was banished too. He was not going to ask about it. After all it was not his place. 'I was only 13. Can you even imagine how grateful I was to this family?' "Can not say I do I left my parents at the age of three to train in the art of magic." There was some truth in it, but it was not the full story. Damian then went on about a family taking him in and they taking care of him. He then went on about saving a girls life. That she would have died if it was not for him. That was when Damian said he found what he wanted to do, that he wanted to help people. Apparently Damian traveled a lot going from town to town, village to village. 'I never asked for money, just supplies and shelter.' "That is quite noble." He then went on about retuning to his family. 'But those bandits deserve to burn in hell. People like them, who have no respect for human lives, who profit from the misery of others... no punishment on earth is enough to make them pay for what they've done. They all deserve to die. That's why I came here. I want to help the good, and rid the world of the cruel' "Is that what you really want Damian? To kill everyone that has done wrong? To kill someone you are in the wrong and then they kill you, and someone kills them and it continues on forever. There is no end to it. I am not saying they should go unpunished, but there are other ways then to just kill someone. You are no better then the bandits or a dark guild if you kill someone. I have seen countless dark guilds and countless evil people do things, but in the end I do not fight because I want to, but because I have to. I never aim to kill, but to stop those that would do harm. Then they can be locked away or whatever."

There wasn't any arguing with Tessa about his clothing, she had a point. His coat had remained unscathed and while he could just close it, it would get rather warm quite quickly. So there wasn't a point in even trying to argue with her. However she was wrong in the fact that Vance would try something though "
Mr Dorian and I have an understanding, I doubt he'd be foolish enough to openly attack you. Seeing he potentially stands a lot more to lose than to gain from it. As for Thea, I doubt she'll go beyond the childish remark. I mean she might even think Vance did this to me to put me in my place." He said before she left the room. It was a good thing he had brought several changes of clothing when he first arrived, he took off his coat and belts and put them on his bed. He took off his torn shirt and picked up a long-sleeved navy blue one from his drawer. His pants were completely fine, he just brushed them off a bit and made sure there wasn't any damage on it. He then put his black boots back on and checked himself in the mirror in the bathroom. He looked a lot better now, he decided to leave his coat and his sword in his room and exited. Turning to Tessa, spreading his arms. "Am I presentable now?" He asked as he did a little twirl, being unable to keep a serious look on his face as he did.

His words did little to reassure her, but Tessa kept them in her mind as she waited, hands locked in a tight clasp in front of her. Back down into hell we descend. She thought to herself as the noise of the guildhall reached her ears. It sounded mostly of chatter and dishes clinking, but to be around so many people....Suck it up. As Conrad exited the room and twirled for her, she couldn't help but laugh before stepping forward, pretending to brush dust off his lapel and pull a loose thread from his shoulder. "Much better." She replied with a grin. "I suppose, I'll let you lead the way?" She stepped to the side, hands gripping the bottom of her shirt somewhat nervously. She had no delusions that anyone would pay attention to her, but to enter the guild hall that could be occupied with at least two people who knew what had taken place, not to mention the man who she had injured, would probably have caused anyone to have nerves.

Ah well, couldn't be any worse then that angry mob in Litania, right? But those people had been magicless. Part of the reason why there had been a mob after her in the first place. "Ah....after you." Tessa said, a little more anxious now.

"Any of the S-classes could help." Trevor started. "Caliborn is patient and good with people. Cassandra is really knowledgeable. Leo is young and other could relate to him better. Mikasa is strict but sometimes people need that. Gexln is a bit out there but he is just as strong as everyone else. Edric, he may be drunk half the time, but he is also one of the most powerful we have and if you can nail him down, he might really be able to help. And then there is Quinn who is a good leader. Any of them would be able to help her if you nail them down and convince them. Convincing them would be the problem." Trevor explained looking over at the tired girl. If she didn't learn control fast she might kill herself at that rate. He however was not one to help. If another personality slipped out, that could mean trouble.

When Trevor was done his explanation, he heard another voice, Leo.
"You are an S-class like me Leo, you do not need to ask permission of me for things. I have no higher rank then you anyways." Trevor explained as he eyed the girl beside Leo. "That a new girlfriend?" He asked curiously. Leo wasn't very good with woman when it came to picking them up, so this was a surprise.

Thea got bored of sitting at the counter but she wanted Vance to continue talking. She wanted him to find her help. She didn't want to be scared anymore. So without a word she slipped down from the bar stool. She stumbled a bit on her first steps using the bar stools to help keep her balance, but then she felt stable enough to walk again so she started heading towards her room, placing one hand on the wall where she could just in case. She didn't need Vance to come tuck her in. She as twelve, plenty old enough to put herself to bed.
Silvia walked up awkwardly beside Leo as he asked the older man for permission. He didn't seem to care either way which was good. Then he asked a question. Silvia couldn't help but blush as she looked down. She was too nervous to answer herself and decided to leave that to Leo. She instead did her best to occupy her mind with idea's about what she might make for them for lunch.

He stood still as she brushed some dust fromhis lapel and picked off a loose thread from his shoulder. She was smiling again, but there was something not entirely right. It was then she asked him if he could lead the way and there it was she gripped the bottom of her shirt, she was nervous again. "
Well etiquette would demand to let a lady go first, so after you" He said jokingly accompanying it with a little bow. He then walked past her and led the way, he didn't walk very fast as to not strain himself. He walked down the stairs and before entering the main hall he turned to Tessa. "You okay?" he asked with genuine concern in his voice. She had been nervous before, when there were only 4 others in company, he didn't know how many people were in there, but it didn't matter since they had to make their own food anyways.

Alessia did have a point, Virgo did have an odd mixture of traits, though when it came down to it, she was pretty helpful to have around. Granted unless he became a celestial spirit wizard, he'd just be carrying around this key with no way of using it unless Virgo decided to come out of her own free will. "Well this is only one key, there could be other ones." There had to be. Being a celestial spirit wizard and having only one key could be disadvantageous at times.

"Well I was going to ask Cassandra about it, but she's still probably worn out from the last mission." Zephyr explained. Evanora he had no idea where she was and as for any other S-Class, he wasn't sure which one to ask. There were plenty to choose from, but most of them seemed to be preoccupied with something.

Silvia wasn't the only one to blush at Trevor's remark. Normally he wouldn't denied the claim in a flustered fashion. This time he couldn't really do that, well without being cruel to Silvia and he didn't want to do that. So, taking a few moments to think of what to say, he nodded his head first. "Y-yeah." It felt weird to admit to having a girlfriend, but it was the truth.

Tessa offered a half smile to Conrad. "I'm nervous." She admitted, her hands twisting and turning in her shirt. "Nervous they'll notice me, nervous I'll mess up. But as long as you walk in front of me, I think I'll be hidden enough." she tried to joke. Alright, you can do this. She took a deep breath, then another step forward. Her hand reached out and snatched the end of Conrad's jacket, holding it tightly for a moment, before she blinked. What am I doing? But the touch felt oddly comforting, and she felt her shoulders relax slightly.

"If this is okay, I think I'll make it just fine." And if anyone tries to mess with me, I'll just have to remember. Her friend's white and pain stricken face flashed in front of her eyes, and she tightened her grip on the jacket once more. Remembering wouldn't be a problem.

She admited to being nervous, she was being truthful, meaning that she was starting to trust him. He figured that was a good thing, as a new arrival finding someone you could trust never hurt. He could tell her that hiding wouldn't be exactly necesary seeing they were all Guild Mates in the first place, he took note of her fear of messing up, it might be part of a solution to her problem. "
Alright, stay behind me if it makes you feel better." He didn't really mind it, it reminded him a little bit of his younger sister, Ilse, who used to hide behind him when strangers came to visit, eventually she had grown out of that phase. He missed his family, but well this Guild was his new family, it wasn't the same, but atleast it was still better than being all alone. He started walking across the main hall intent to walk to the kitchen to prepare some food, after a few steps he felt a hand grab hold of his jacket, he stopped and looked over his shoulder only to see it was Tessa, who grabbed hold of it, asking if it was okay for her to do so. He nodded, smiled and walked on, making sure to keep his pace in check as to not strain himself. He made his way across the Main Hall ignoring conversations going on or who might be looking at him with Tessa in tow as he walked into the kitchen he started to wonder what he actually felt like having right now, he grabbed a cookbook and started browsing until he found something that struck his fancy a stew with some dumplings. And looked to Tessa holding out the book. "You want some stew with dumplings too? Or do you want something else?"
