He was glad that Vance was sensible, it meant the pain wasn't in vain. Vance wanted to find him a healer, he figured it was because Vance felt like he owed Conrad that. Despite Vance taking up a position to help support him, Conrad tried to keep himself on his feet only to rely on the nobleman when he needed it, the cure spell didn't feel like it was doing much, aside from relieving pain, making it easier on Conrad to breathe. It was then that Damian showed up again, he had probably heard all the commotion and came back to see what was going on. Conrad gave him a weak smile. "I'd like to take you up on that offer.." Conrad said as he stumbled back to his bed and unceremoniously dropped down, a red stain was formed on the pillow from the wounds on his head and several on the covers from smaller wounds on his back. He looked over to Vance "You should go find Thea, before something happens...We'll talk later, I promise. And don't worry.... I'll be fine..." Conrad said, the last time he had been this hurt, he blacked out for several hours before coming to, then again he took a very different beating then. It hadn't been too long ago and some of the scars were still visible. He then looked at Tessa, who looked like she just might fall apart in front of them. "Tessa... it's okay, I'm alive.... I'll be alright....I'm not mad at you for this" He said truthfully.

 

HalloweenTown​

Tessa stumbled for a second before finding her voice again. "Um...well yeah. That's bad, I should be the prettiest. Because...because I'm doing the hardest job and ruling the kingdom. Um....I need my Huntsman. Can he please show up now?" She asked, clenching her hands in the hem of her shirt tightly.

Meanwhile, Back at the Batcave​

Tessa stood still, numb. She had f*cked up, and f*cked up bad. Her vision narrowed to a very small circle, and her breath came fast and quick. Tears threatened to form, causing her already screwed vision to swim as she sank to the ground, her feet unable to support her any longer. "I.....I" she swallowed past the lump in her throat, her mouth incredibly dry. There was a pounding in her ears; whether it was her heart or the blood in her brain she couldn't say, as she tried to think of an appropriate response. Was there an appropriate response?

"S-s-so-" She was cut off by Conrad saying he wasn't mad at her. Oh gods. She wanted to run, and at the same time stay. She wanted to make sure Conrad would be okay, and get away from her mistake. But no matter how much she wanted to go, her legs wouldn't have carried her anyway. Whether it was her emotional outburst, the use of magic, or her own guilt finally making her face the consequences of her actions, she couldn't move.
"Sorry." She whispered before hiding her face in her hands, keeping the flow of tears silent, and to herself.

 

Little did Calxiyn and Tessa know that there was not a huntsman, there was a huntswoman! She walked over and kneeled in front of the queen all formal and stuff. "My bow is at your service, my queen. And this dagger, that's a thing too" she said, being too dramatic.​

"Very well Conrad, we shall talk later." He turned to Damian. "Apologies for shouting, my surprise and emotions got the better of me. It was a mistake." He then looked at Tessa.
"Next time, I suggest you think before acting. As you can see, it does not always end well." Vance continued. "Now I had best find my daughter before she burns down an innocent barn or house somewhere." Then Vance left to find Thea. Somewhere.

Meanwhile, in another time, when he was forcibly pushed into acting into a flapping pink mess' strange play.
"Nay! For you should be proud that you are worthy of mine eyes! Consider yourself fortunate and submit!" He declared, then began scowling. "Such a dishonourable man. He should woo her truly! Or not take her at all. Alas, people such as Braxton are scum. But I shall play, for the sake of the entertainment of the masses."




Dale continued to look angsty and said angsty things to Mikasa if she said anything.




"Jack do you not need to help with anything because there is nothing to help with. The situation is under control and there is nobody spying on the Guild." Caliborn said. "It is likely that this 'Kage' tried to assign some value to himself by claiming that there were spies. He would have wanted to keep himself alive and get off lighter by providing information about the spies. Trust me, it's not as bad as you seem to think it is."

"The one to ask about leadership is Evanora, after all, she leads us all. Do I make mistakes? Sometimes. It is impossible not to make a mistake somewhere down the line. That is the way of life Jack. But, a leader must always be sure in what they are doing and that I am." He neglected to mention that a leader did not per say need to be certain, but give the appearance of certainty. If Jack wanted to lead, that would come in time. "I am glad that I can help and I am willing to help at any time. Such is the responsibility of the S-Class."​

 

Guild hall:

Jack's pov:
"Jack do you not need to help with anything because there is nothing to help with. The situation is under control and there is nobody spying on the Guild. It is likely that this 'Kage' tried to assign some value to himself by claiming that there were spies. He would have wanted to keep himself alive and get off lighter by providing information about the spies. Trust me, it's not as bad as you seem to think it is." Caliborn had said. "If what you say is true, then the question on how he knew about the happens in the guild still remain. I agree that there is probably not someone syping on us now. I'm referring to future syping that possibly could happen in the future. No matter how safe we believe the guild could be or is. Even the smallest amount of the unknown could be dangerous. Can you at lest tell me if you find anything dealing with the spys and such?" Even though Caliborn felt there was nothing for him to do. He still felt it was at they very lest to keep an eye out within the guild. The only problem was that he hardly knew anything about anyone in the guild. Although he knew some of them were nice, he didn't know what had brought them here or them personally, or there backstorys. He desided he would try to watch the guild and report anything he found to Caliborn. He also highly doubt Caliborn would tell him anything about any information on spys he found out. It was possible he would need to find out on his own. He would also need to get to know everyone better, mostly likely talking to the ones he felt he wanted as friends first. Who would be first? He would worry about that latter.

She cut there mission short because they were not good enough and to deal with Ezekiel. On the mission she was leading she left them and didn't come back to help even when they were in danger. "I don't see you as someone that could make mistakes. Thats also why I came to you. You seem like a great leader. Even if you don't see it, I do. If you don't mind would you be willing to tell me about one of your mistakes? You don't have to. I couldn't imagine you different then you are now. Were you like this before you were an s-class? Its hard to imagine you as an entry level wizard. If you feel like you don't need to say anything you could leave. I know your an important person and don't want to hold you up from your s-class job with my unimportant questions."

Tessa had completely collapsed both emotionally and physicly. He felt sorry for her, this too was part of the consequences of his own actions. She hadn't want to hurt him, he was uncertain if she had truly intended to hurt Vance, but thinking about the what if's was no use. Seeing Damian stood there completely dumbstruck, he figured there was still time to atleast try to comfort Tessa, the way she was struggling with her words. It saddened him a little, she had only acted upon her feelings, was that too wrong? "Tessa, it's okay...you didn't want to hurt me, I know that and I doubt you truly wanted to hurt Vance either...I knew full well what I was doing and what would happen to me when I went ahead with it... I can take a beating, I underestimated the power of the attack, but I'm okay, I'll be back to normal rather quickly..." The way she sat there on her knees, burying her face like that it could mean only one thing. He didn't say a word about it though, then Vance had to add a little more to the burden she already was unable to bear and this angered Conrad "Vance! Enough! Need I remind you that your tactless words nearly put you in the spot I currently am in, I didn't take that hit for you so you could give another kick to someone who is already down!" He said not even trying to disguise the venom in his voice, a very unusual quality for the generally calm and neutral nobleman. Vance may not have heard his words as he walked out the door but Conrad didn't care for that. It took him a moment to get it all out of his system through a few deep breaths he looked at the girl again, she still sat there on the ground. "If you don't have anywhere else to go, I wouldn't mind if you stayed here, but if you do decide to stick around, when you can, please get yourself up from the floor, it's no place for a friend." Conrad said the kindness having returned to his voice. He looked back to Damian and nodded, indicating to start the procedure.

Damian stood there awkwardly as the conversation proceeded around him, he wasn't being kicked out at least, that was a start. "Right, well, let's have a look at you" this was business now, he could get his professional face on. Damian looked over Conrad, broken ribs, bruises, dislocated arm, nothing too serious that a bit of magic and medicine couldn't fix. Damian grabbed Conrad's arm "This may hurt a bit" he stated and with a swift movement popped Conrad's arm back in place. He then continued using a mix of magic and medicine to gradually heal Conrad.

 

"Maybe, not 100% sure yet." There was still plenty that he didn't know about celestial spirit wizards and what they were capable of that he did know and wanted to know about. He would have a better answer as to whether or not he wanted to become one once he knew all that. "I might be able to, last time she kinda came out on her own." Zephyr explained. Maybe calling out to the spirit would summon her. Zephyr pointed the key out in front of his and spoke. "Come out, Virgo." Whether this would work or now, we would see.

With Silvia's hand in his own, Leo walked back to the guild hall. He'd placed his hat back on the top of his head where it belong and was feeling slightly less uncomfortable. He was still somewhat uncomfortable, but not enough that his face needed to be covered. Leo didn't know what would happen when they got back to the guild hall, but probably they'd find a place to sit and talk like usual.

 

Um.."That's good." Tessa smoothed her shirt with her hands. "So...I'm mad at Snow White. And I need you to...hurt her? I mean, it seems kind of drastic to kill her. Maybe just maim her face or something?" She asked nervously.

Tessa froze at Conrad's words, feeling sick to her stomach from the sound his shoulder made as it popped into place. She wiped her face on her sleeve, clearing her throat as she got to her feet unsteadily before wandering to Damian's side, watching him work with reddened eyes. "I wish I could do good like that." she whispered, her eyes filling with fresh tears but her strength of will keeping them from spilling over. "Does it hurt?" she asked even softer, the words barely making any sound as they passed her lips. It seemed inconceivable to her, that this man had been fine mere minutes ago. It was hard to fathom she had done this, to someone who considered her a friend, out of anger.
How do I begin to fix this? She wondered, her hands dropping to hang limp at her sides. Can I fix this?

 

Skadi stopped for a moment, before remembering that in this story she wasn't herself, but she was in fact a huntswoman who feared nothing and lived only to serve the queen. "Her face will be maimed as though as thousand hungry lions are trying to...um...maim her?" the ice mage huntswoman stated, clearly not sure.​

Conrad mentally prepared himself when Damian said it would hurt a bit, then nodded. He felt his arm pop back into it's socket and his face contorted in pain. The magic relieved a lot of the pain for him, keeping him comfortable as the medicine would do it's work. He already felt better but he would have to remain in bed for atleast another day. It was then that he heard Tessa's soft whisper "If I'm not mistaken, this kind of thing can be taught. Damian would know for certain though." Conrad said, fairly certain of his words. She then asked him in an even softer voice whether it hurt or not, he would be truthful not to hurt her feelings, but to lie now wouldn't benefit anything, not even a white lie. "It does, it hurt more just after the hit though, Vance's cure spell numbed the pain and Damian's work is also helping with relieving the pain, I'll be fine in no time. I've endured worse for that matter." Conrad said with a small gentle smile. He then looked to Damian "Thank you, if there is anything I can do in return, let me know."

"Right" Damian wiped his hands and sat back "That seems like enough, but you should rest for at least 24 hours, don't strain yourself or it'll make my job even harder" Tessa's face was full of guilt, she clearly didn't intend to do whatever she did. All she wanted was to do good, but she just lost control. Damian knew how she felt, Conrad asked about teaching her medicine "Uh, well, I was taught a bit of medicine and healing from the priests back home, and then the rest was self-taught over... oh a long time, I can't remember how many years... of wandering the world after I got banished. The point is yes it could be taught, I could probably teach it... uh I don't think I'd be a great teacher... but it's not easy to learn, it takes a while" Conrad thanked him and asked if he could do anything in return, Damian chuckled "Seriously don't worry about it, I do things all the time without expecting anything in return"

 

Snow White


Calxiyn took her spot as the narrator again. "Not only maim (?) her face, but also rip out her heart!" Calxiyn shouted. "The huntswomen bowed to the Queen, before going to find the beautiful Snow White in the garden, picking flowers. The Queen watched the encounter on her magic mirror. Snow White-" Calxiyn took Silvia by the hand and brought her into the story. "Snow White was humming a cheery tune, and the huntswomen came up from behind her. The Queen watched eagerly."


Mission Tips:

Calxiyn will feed you lines if your character doesn't know what to do.
Calxiyn will get huffy if you stray too much from the story she's telling, so try to act in character.
Your character can still be awkward while speaking etc.
Calxiyn will also do special effects for you if you give her a 'cue'.
For Halloween Missions I will use Black and Orange Text.



An Operatic Tragedy:



"I defy you Braxton! Let me by!" Clarissa spoke dramatically.



"And at that moment, Rodrigo appears, in magnificent splendor!"

Zephyros then switched into Rodrigo, and from above, unseen Zephyros' voice could be heard. "Unhand that women villain!"



"Who are you?!" Calxiyn/Clarissa shouted, somewhat in and out of character.

"I am your destiny! Your bitterest foe!" Zephyros 'fell' from the ceiling, and stood between Braxton/Vance and Calxiyn/Clarissa. "I've come to avenge your crimes of ten years ago." Zephyros crossed his arms, voice filled with heroic bravery and vengeance.



Johanna nodded, before screaming at the top of her lungs. "I'll see you around, Boreal. I owe you." She said in a hushed voice. Johanna then quickly turned into a Swan, and falling from of the hole in the wall.

Storytime:
"Stand aside cur! This is not your business! Take your ridiculous ideals of heroism and saving the damsel in distress and flee! They are mere stories! There is no happy end here! Run, and perhaps I shall spare your life when I have finished with this girl!"

Meanwhile in the real world where Vance isn't so much of a terrible human being.

It would normally have been difficult to find someone within a town like this, however, fate was on his side. It was made really quite easy when he heard an explosion in the distance and smoke rising into the air. There could only be one cause, given the circumstances, and that was Thea. Vance raced for the source of the smoke, clutching his chest as the exertion began to take its toll. Such was the urgency with which he ran to his daughter's side. He found her in the grass not far from the burning barn or at least, what was left of it. He couldn't help but sigh- She really was volatile. She'd need to learn to control her emotions somehow, because it really was getting out of hand. Honestly, if she hadn't made it out here in time, she'd have probably set the whole damn city on fire and that would have been a massive problem. Vance approached and knelt down, putting his hand on her back.
"Thea, I'm here. You can relax now, its fine." Vance reassured. "We have settled our differences, so everything is okay."




"I guess they're not coming out? Maybe its broken? Where did you get it from? Was it damaged?" She asked, looking at it with a puzzled expression. It looked fine to her but, who could tell?

Mikasa started to cackle like a mad women as she saw the group. "See what's become of your little Johanna. Her blood stains her bed, somewhere where you could never get her on. But it seems like Boreal is having no problem with that. You'd better go find her Dale, before time runs out."

"I would if I could." Cassandra teased Ander. She pondered this. "I don't really know. Mikasa and Dale haven't really interacted too much in the past. The girls in the guild are a bit closer, but even still Mikasa and Johanna don't really cross paths that much. Mikasa has always been easily set off. No one really knows that much about her, but from what I understand she's been through a lot, and has seen a lot of horrors in this world. That doesn't excuse her snippy and sometimes extreme behavior, but it's easy to tell she's suffering with the demons inside of her. There's something inside of Mikasa that's haunting for her, and even though I personally don't know it myself, I know that it must be horrible to have gone through. But I digress. I don't know if Mikasa will be like this forever, but it's best to go easy on her. We're a family, a support system for her, in a way..."

"It's always interesting how Guild Members find each other like that, even though you may not like someone at all in the beginning, eventually you grow to maybe love them, as a friend or otherwise. The Guild has always been like this, I think all guilds are. There's a lot of drama, friendship, relationships, foes, it's all here. I think what makes this Guild special is that we're more of a family unit then just a couple wizards that wanted a job. We all have our tragic stories, but we can heal ourselves. I think that's what is important..." Cassandra closed her eyes. "Sorry, I'm rambling. You don't need to stay here Ander, I'll be fine." She gave him a faint smile.

Tessa as the Queen, tried to school her features into one of anticipation as the huntswoman approached Snow White, but all she felt was dread. The woman wouldn't actually kill her, would she? Despite her misgivings, Tessa watched in the magic mirror, which was basically staring at Conrad's face and trying not to feel awkward about it. Oh wait..."Um, magic mirror, show me Snow White. Or the hunstwoman. Whoever is easier." She whispered. Now she could stare at his face and try not to feel awkward.

Tessa bit her lip before clenching her hands. "If you would be willing, I would like to learn." She murmured, her nails pressing into her palms. It wouldn't help her control her own magic, but perhaps being able to fix the messes she left behind would be a good start. "But, if it's okay, I wanna stay here with Conrad. Just...just until he's better." The last part came out as a whisper as her throat began to tighten. But she would not cry. The time for tears was over. She had to be stronger now.

"Thank you, Damian. I owe you." She added. Even if he didn't want a favor from her, she would offer it regardless. Despite her rather strange and previous encounter with the man, when he wasn't drunk he seemed to be a good person.

 

Ander's Pov:



Garrett was completely lost having been waiting for almost three weeks to post made him forget what he was going to do. He would have to wing it some how. When Cassandra said that she would leave he got the since that she was joking. That said he really could say that he did not blame her. The Cassandra went on about Dale, Mikasa and Johanna. Cassandra then said that Mikasa had gone though a lot in her past. "Our past is what makes us what we are today, but does not make us what we will be. Our past may make us, but it does not define what we are nor what we will be." Mikasa had something haunting her. "Everyone has something to face. Sometimes easy sometimes hard. The battle is always there, but it not if they win, but how they go about fighting that matters." 'It's always interesting how Guild Members find each other like that, even though you may not like someone at all in the beginning, eventually you grow to maybe love them, as a friend or otherwise.' "I am not so sure Cassandra. I have been here for some time and I do not think anyone would call me a friend." He been running, hiding, and fighting for eight years and in that time he never made a single friend. Cassandra would never understand the curse that was on him no one would. "I do not think I will ever find anyone to love to call a friend." Then Cassandra went on about the guild. "I can say that this guild is nothing like the training guild I was apart of. There was no drama, no fighting, and no foes. It was great." That was until that one day, but he was not going to go into that. The only reminder that he had was the key around his neck. Heal ourselves? How? "Not everything is so simple Cassandra. Sometimes we can not heal ourselves. Sometimes we are just broken and nothing can fix that. I have seen more then most will in there life time and I would not want that on anyone. How can we heal others when some of us can not heal ourselves or help ourselves?" Then Cassandra said he could leave. "That is not going to happen Cassandra. I leave and when I come back you are dead. I will never leave someone behind again." How could he leave someone behind again just leave them after what he been though. He hoped that someone would come in Cassandra's room soon.

 

"If there were something to tell you Jack, to be truthful I would not without consulting Evanora and the others first. It is our responsibility to look after this guild, not yours or any of the other new members. That falls to us, and us exclusively." Caliborn replied. While he respected Jack's enthusiasm, he could do with a little bit of improvement on the listening department. He would not stop asking about the spy issue, even though he had thought he had made it perfectly clear that it was not his problem and that he would handle it personally if there was such an issue. In any case, hopefully that would be the last he heard of that little issue. The next question was better, but it was a rather personal issue and it involved another member of the Guild. He was not inclined to say who. "Probably the biggest mistake I've made, and it is why I am far more diplomatic now, is that at one point early in my days here, I said something to a fellow Guild member. What I said proved to be very hurtful which I hadn't realised at the time, but it caused them a great deal of harm. I was able to reconcile it, but it was a mistake on my part. From that I learned to mind my words and be considerate. After all, a misplaced word may cause more damage than you might expect." She still hasn't changed from back then. I wonder what it will take to get you to calm down and perhaps settle down, Mikasa? His mind drifted for a moment as he considered what must have happened in order for Mikasa to become such a broken person. He was one of her only friends, he knew that, but it was true. She was broken, and somehow she needed to be fixed. He had tried. But it seemed that there was no way of doing it.
