Tessa nodded eagerly, her hands digging into the hem of her shirt. This time, it wasn't in anxiety, but in excitement. After such a long journey she was finally getting the answers she wanted. She finally had people that accepted her.

"Anything that you have that can help, I would really appreciate." She danced from one foot to another, looking to Alessia, then Zephyr.
"I don't want to cause any more trouble."

It hadn't yet entered her mind that she didn't have a place to sleep, or needed to eat. Until the excitement of reaching her goal faded and she came back down from Cloud Nine, she could continue to ignore the basic necessities her body required.

She smiled again, swinging her arms from side to side in a gentle manner. I'm not alone anymore. It was the only other thought that reverberated through her brain.

 

Gaius is asleep and thus did nothing
Ra used fire dash! It did 16 damage, but with speed, magic and weapon he did 56 damage and set Sheeptard on fire, taking an additional 5 damage this turn and the next
Rennette used Esuna on Veilen, causing him to wake up!
Veilen awoke, and then used Binding Strike! It did 6 damage, but with strength, speed, magic and weapon it did 34 damage!
Thomas used fire! It did 4 damage, but with magic and weapon it did 27 damage!
Charlotte used Esuna on Gaius, and then blocked for Gaius!

All together, the party did 117. Sheeptard blocked 5 of this, but with burning taken into consideration he took 126 damage! Some of the flames went out, so next turn he only takes 5 burn damage! HIS MEATSHIELD KICKED IN TOO WHICH I TOTALLY DIDNT FORGET, REDUCING 50 OF THE DAMAGE AND THEN SINCE IT WAS BROKEN HE HEALED FOR AN EXTRA 50 AND HIS FIRST ATTACK DOES +5 DAMAGE.

He used his Assault and Baahtery, giving him a +55 damage shield until next turn. OR AT LEAST HE WOULD HAVE BUT NOTHING HAPPENED BECAUSE **** THIS HE'S STALLING THE **** OUT OF IT

He used his baaaaaaaad laser on Gaius, but Charlotte blocked the 0 damage done.

Sheeptard did nothing because screw him. Everyone's speed is back to normal

Assault and Baahttery: The Sheep King plucks a lamb from the earth itself and slams it into his chest with supreme, manly gusto, causing the lamb to stick to his woolly awesomeness and provide a temporary meatshield, and nobody can ever take that away from it.

Unstoppable Fleece: Despite his manly ego, Sheeptard is a little....sheepish, and is quite easily startled. Each attack landed on him has a 5% chance to engulf the attacker in the fluffiest wool imaginable, reducing the damage on their next attack by 50%.

Lambassador: While Sheeptard mourns the loss of his woolen brethren, he also respects the laws of the land and the means for survival, and so he consumes his fallen lamb friends, gaining 50 hp back whenever one of his meatshields are destroyed, as well as +5 damage on his next attack.

Counting Sheep: Sheeptard casts his magic on an enemy, causing them to feel drowsy as illusions of small sheep began running by them and leaping over fences. After three turns, the victim falls into a deep slumber. Lasts 3 turns.

Charlotte did Charlotte things. Like Fire. And Surging. And combining the two into a fire surge. It's revolutionary I tell you. This was a revolutionary attack directed at Sheeptard. The friend blocking was directed at Gaius.

A mental sigh was given as Tessa said she would appreciate anything he could do to help. That took away some of the stress that was creeping up on him. "Okay. So what in particular do you need help with? I mean, other than just controlling your magic." If he was going to help her, then started with any possible roots to the issue would be a good place to start.

Leo listened carefully to the instruction that Silvia had given him, making sure to remember them so he wouldn't mess anything up when it came time to use them. "Right." With a nod Leo took the bottle and put it into one of his coat pockets for safe keeping. "Sure." He wasn't opposed to the idea of going for a walk, plus as more people returned from their missions the guild hall would surely get louder. Least this way they could avoid having their conversation being lost among the noise.

It was tense. So tense. Nobody was moving, what to do? They couldn't keep the hand or Calxiyn would be killed, they couldn't give it away or they'd be giving power to a man who didn't deserve it. Malkira realised he was the only one who could act.
"Give me that" He snatched the hand of Midas out of Balthazar's grasp (making sure to hold the bit that meant he didn't get turned to gold) "Fine X, you win fair and square" he passed X the hand carefully, and yanked Calxiyn out of his grasp. He paused for a split second, then with the full force of his stone feet swept X's legs out from beneath him "Unfortunately for you I don't play fair and square" this had three outcomes. 1) It didn't work. 2) X fell and dropped the hand, in which case Malkira would pick it up again. 3) X dropped the hand on himself, which would have some kind of poetic irony, they could leave a solid gold statue of a very surprised looking X here.

 

Taylor suddenly woke up in a bed somewhere in space. "Oh crap! How long was I out?!" she exclaimed, and checked her imaginary watch. "Two months???????? Ugh! I meant to lay down for less than a minute!" She cursed herself some more for falling asleep, as she ran into the guild hall from wherever she was, smiling energetically at Conrad as she passed him on his way out. There was a conversation going on in the guild hall with some new(er than her) chick she didn't know, and people were continuously walking through the doors, returning from missions and some from the town. Taylor sighed, relieved. Nothing had really changed, as far as she knew. People in the hall were acting pretty normal, so she assumed nothing was amis. She turned as Therity walked through the doors, and narrowed her eyes in disgust as the older woman confidently walked to the guild store place to buy things. She left immediately, and walked outside hoping that the cool night air would help wake her brain up. She put her hands behind her head and stood with her back against the front wall of the guild hall, watching the clear sky above her. After a few minutes of stargazing, she took her guitar from her case (that she always has on her because musican plus logic) and played one of her current favorite songs - Tenerife Sea

Therity walked in the guild hall after returning from a mission that she didn't really take part in and still managed to get 10/10 on two sections of the end experirence stuff, and saw Taylor glaring at her out of the corner of her eye. Ignoring her, she calmly walked to the shop to buy a few items. After she had what she wanted, she sat down at the bar, appearing to be deep in thought.​

 

When X fell to the ground, like Malkira had intention, the hand fell onto X's stomach. He was able to pick it up and shout victory, but then he started turning to gold. Calxiyn was shaking, and horribly scared. She watched, her mouth covered by her hands as X turned to gold.

For Malkira's fast action everyone got 100 EXP.

"What a greedy *******..." Balthazar muttered to himself. "Calxiyn are you okay?"

Calxiyn, though, had her arms around Malkira in a hug. "Thank you for saving me." She looked up at him with a smile on her face. She then pulled away from him and turned to Balthazar.

"I wanted to talk to you all about this, I'm afraid something like that will happen. I do not wish to keep the Hand of Midas in my Guild. I will not be returning to my Guild. I want to ask of you, while I travel I'd like your Guild to keep and protect the Hand of Midas, and use it honest and truly. Is that something you can do?" Balthazar asked. Calxiyn nodded.

"Caliborn, what do you think? I think so." She smiled at him.



"Sales are final." Cat muttered to Quinn.

Aisha's eyes went wide, but she bit her lip to try and hide her fear. She took Quinn by his hand, and lead him upstairs. This room was nicer then Red's for sure, it was more eloquent. Aisha let go of Quinn to lock the door, and then she sat down on the bed. Her eyes were lower, and she couldn't find it in herself to speak. She looked up at Quinn, blushed furiously, and looked back down at the floor again. "I-I'm sorry. I'm not very, well, I just." She stammered. "I'm not sure, how to start, or, um." She paused, moving her hair from her face to reveal beautiful brown eyes. "Well, what do you want. That might be an odd question but sometimes people just come in here to talk or... sometimes not but, yes, what do you... want?"

 

Quinn was a bit surprised at how the girl acted. She was working in a brothel, but wasn't sure how to start. Did that mean she was new? Was she so shy because she was a virgin? Quinn scratched his head. Well, that certainly complicated things. He felt kind of bad for putting her in this situation, though if he hadn't, someone else would've. They might not have been so reluctant to break her in. He sighed and sat down next to her. "What do I want? I guess I just came here to blow off some steam, really. Figured a girl would help with that." He said to her. He wasn't really sure what to do about this. The only real way to do what he came for with a clear conscience would be to get her comfortable enough that she wasn't really doing it just because he told her to. He gave a silent laugh at the thought. He didn't think he'd be able to get her to that point in just a few hours. Though if he just went ahead without doing that, he'd feel too guilty.


Beucette didn't at all seem surprised at the turn of events that transpired with X, but stared at him confused. She looked to the door, then to the ceiling. "How the hell did he get in here? Was he just climbing on the back of the turtle in case some hole opened in the roof when we got here? That seems really convenient for him how he was just standing near it when it opened up." She didn't really make much comment on the Hand of Midas. She figured no one would disagree to having something that basically gave an infinite supply of wealth. ​

 

"Some steam?" Aisha asked. "And why's that, did something happen?" She questioned him timidly. She poked her fingers together absentmindedly. "You know, there are better ways to deal with anger then... is that something that people do? But when you're angry doesn't that take the love out of it?" She looked away shyly, her face still burning red. Her voice was deep and that of an adult, but at the same time the words were so innocent, but truthful.

 

"I don't really think it's anger." Quinn replied. "I'm in a wizard's guild. Sometimes, missions can leave you kind of...Drained i guess." He said, not really sure how to explain his meaning. "It's not anger, just stress. After you give a battle everything you've got, and just barely come out the winner, you want to just lay back and have a bit of fun. Get away from the combat, if only for a little while." ​

As X slowly became gold Malkira watched with an intense and judging gaze. He felt no sympathy as the man's agonised face was paralyzed, a man who used people as pawns and cared little for life did not deserve mercy. This was the price of greed, a price Malkira knew more than most. Suddenly he realised Cal was hugging him. If he had skin he would blush. "Anytime Cal, I never leave a friend for dead" He said sincerely. Balthazar stated his intentions. Certainly the hand was useful, but its use was cursed. Gold was cold, numb, dead. Malkira looked at his own hands. cold numb stone. This was the cost of his own greed. At least he was given a second chance. "Yes Balthazar, the hand is in safe hands with us, all of us at the guild are honest, moral and reliable..."

Meanwhile in a random back alley

"Uuuugh, my head" Damian sat up. He was in a gutter, his clothes were covered in dirt. What had happened? Had he just randomly passed out? Ah the effects of alcohol on someone who'd never been drunk before in his life. There was a deep thumping in his head, well this made it certain, he would never get drunk again. Or be around Edric. He stumbled to his feet, putting one foot in front of the other was a task. Slowly he limped back to the guild, he wanted to get as far away from that tavern as possible. Lurching through the door he gazed upon the gathered people, the buzz of chatter was far too loud, the lights too bright. Quickly he stumbled through towards his dorm trying not to encounter anyone else on the way.

 

Aisha pondered this. "Ah, so you're one of the Wizards The King invited to come here. I see." She nodded. She started to laugh quietly. "Being in a Guild must be a lot of fun, but a lot of work too I imagine." Aisha said, her voice still in a whisper. "If you're stressed, maybe you should try a massage?" She giggled to herself quietly. She put her hands on Quinn's shoulders, gently, and started to rub them with her fingers.

 

"It's not so different from how the military was. Just a lot less strict." Quinn responded to her guesses as to how the guild was. She wasn't wrong. Though, he wished he hadn't made the comparison to the military. It reminded him of why he left. For a moment, he was lost in the memory. Though it didn't last long before he felt a pair of soft and gentle hands begin to touch his shoulders. "Heh, I guess a massage couldn't hurt." He closed his eyes and let her hands run over his shoulders.​

 

Unlike Silvia who had her head down, Leo had his head up looking in the direction they were going. After all Silvia never did say that she wanted to go anywhere in particular, just out for a walk. Their walk had been a quiet one unless Silvia broke the silence. "What do you want to ask?" He listened as he waited for her to ask what was her on mind. Leo wasn't sure just what it was that she wanted to ask him since well, he couldn't think of something that she'd want to ask him that he'd actually have the answer to.

"Do you like me?"

Now there's two ways that Leo could've interpreted this. 1) Like as in how one likes a friend. 2) Like-like, no need to go into further detail about like-like. Leo's mind took option two as he had a mini freak out in his head. That was probably one of the last things that he was expecting to be asked by Silvia and to make matters worse, he had no idea how to respond himself. Hell his interacting with Silvia was some of the most interaction he's had with a girl, especially with one around his age. To find the answer to this question, he started to rack his brain for just about every moment that he spent with Silvia with hopes that it would give him an clue as to how he felt. In a way his plan worked, but through the aid of some unnoticed hormones.

"I-I think so. I mean I'm not good at this kind of thing either." He answered his cheeks having a tint of pink now. That was the conclusion that he'd come to. Nothing for certain, but it was a possibility. A good possibility at that. It was a good thing that Silvia hadn't fled yet
