After Beucette pulled bread out of her pocket (why and how did she have bread in there?) she said the dreaded words "What could possibly go wrong?" Malkira rounded on her "NEVER say those words, do you realise what you've done? You've doomed us all now! Some monster from Greek Myth is probably going to come hurtling towards us out of nowhere now you've said that" he said with a mix of anger and frustration "EVERYTHING can go wrong somehow, trust me"

 

"What do I intend? I intend to be the richest man on the planet!" Balthazar smiled excitedly spinning in a circle with the Hand of Midas in hand. Balthazar pointed upwards. "We can go through that skylight, there." Balthazar told them.

"Wait, could we have just gone through there in the first place?" Calxiyn asked, her hands on her hips teasingly.

"Hmm, who's to say?" Balthazar teased back. He laughed as Malkira said that they would doom them all.

"Doom you say? You're quite right!" A voice shouted from the rooftops.



"Balthazar you are dead to us!" X jumped down from the ceiling, and landed on the hand. He then grabbed Calxiyn, and put her into a chock hold.

"Balthazar!"

X muttered something under his breath, and Calxiyn's eye twitched, and there was a dark insignia on her forehead.

"X don't you touch her." Balthazar threatened.

"No, don't you touch her. You give me the Hand of Midas Balthazar. I've put a spell on her. If she moves from my arm without me holding the hand, she will die. Or maybe you care about gold more then your teammate."

Balthazar looked at the Hand of Midas, and then at Calxiyn.

"No, don't give it to him. Money gives you power, power that can change the world. Don't put it in the hands of someone like him. I know how much this means to you!" Calxiyn shouted, though she quickly whined in pain as she started to run out of air.

Time is ticking. ​

"Come in." Evanora told Ander. Cassandra was lying on her bed, still in distress.


Florica stammered. "Well, I'm not really supposed to tell you, as a client and whom I am reading the fortune of, that you would die because that causes unnecessary distress." Florica kept it there.





"Stay here sweet heart, give me a moment." Cat overheard Quinn talking to The King, but before The King could reply, Cat took Quinn by the shoulder and guided him as they whispered. "I am the owner of the brothel. We have a fine selection of lovely ladies right here." She gestured to Thea, the other two girls, as well as Aisha.




"Prices are all the same, 50 jewels per hour."

He would die? What did he do to deserve that? He rewinded what had happened prior to the meeting with the witch and what the witch said as well. He took what Florica said into consideration and came to the conclussion it wasn't his own fault but rather Vances actions that brought it to this, there was no other way to explain it. But that meant Vance himself was in danger as well... "Thank you Florica for making an exception" Conrad said, he yawned only then did it hit him that he was getting pretty tired "I must take my leave, many thanks for warning me of impending danger. If you need a favour let me know" He knew that the nobility traded favours but the common people did as well, he got up, smiled at Florica gave a polite bow and took his leave, on his way out he spotted Thea and one of the ladies of this establishment he went over and looked at Thea "Thea? What are you doing in a place like this? No offense but this isn't really a place for young girls like yourself."

 

"Ander go away, I'm trying to talk to the new member." She snapped when Ander asked her for questions. What's with that guy? He's almost as weird as John I swear they're related. She returned her attention to Tessa and gave her smile, shaking her hand.
"Sorry about that, Ander is weird. I'm Alessia." She listened to her asking about Dragonslayers and folded her arms. She pouted a moment while she thought and flicked a loose stand of hair absent mindedly. "Well, there's Caliborn. He's a Sky Dragonslayer. Gexln is a Shadow Dragonslayer I think. Hmm... Leo might be one but I'm not sure... What do you want with a Dragonslayer anyway? It's a pretty specific request."




Vance blushed furiously as Shani kissed him, although it left a tingling sensation. It wasn't a bad feeling by any stretch of the imagination. In fact, he found he quite liked it. The nobleman allowed himself to smile at the pirate before standing up to leave.
"I suppose I ought to help. Assuming she hasn't got him already. If she's anything like you are she's already taken the chance." He gave her a smile and opened the door. Before he stepped through the doorway, he turned around to look at the woman. "I'll come back soon. Thank you again Shani it has been... Good meeting you." He left and went downstairs. After coming down the stairs, he spotted Thea immediately, nearby Conrad and Quinn and... The nobleman rushed over there as quickly as he could.
"My goodness! Thea what are you doing there?" He exclaimed, rushing towards the girl before any harm could come to her or mistakes made. He was some distance away but surely Conrad had no bad intentions. The other one though... He just hated the look on his face. That damnable lout should get well away from his daughter!

 

Quinn looked at the four girls who were possible candidates. One of which was a little girl, probably about twelve. She seemed a tad young to be working this kind of job. Pretty soon, two guys ran up and asked what she was doing here, and Quinn was astounded at how little it was his problem. He ignored the situation and gestured to the long, dark haired girl as his choice.​

 

Guild hall:



Ander's pov:
He opened the door to Cassandra's room. He immediately noticed how empty it seemed. He seemed out of place here. The purple walls and the various things on the walls and tables were almost to much to take in. He walked into the room and shut the door behind him. He then stood by a table with his am crossed over his chest. "Is there anything I can do to help?" nodding his head in the direction of Cassandra. It was now time to get answers it why it came here. He did not think Cassandra would be saying anything. "I have growing concerns about the state of the guild Evanora. First you take off us a mission. I do not even know what happened to the children. What happened to the church after we left? Then we get attacked by a dark guild. You know as well as I do I tired helping Thea, but she did not want it. Yet, here she is in the guild." He stopped here for a moment. "Then we get betrayed by someone on the inside. When I was on Galuna Island I felt so out of place. I was not needed. You know all the people that were there could talk about was how they wished Thomas was there. I came to this guild to help people but I can honestly say that since I have been here I have not helped a single person." He let out a sigh. "It seems like that this guild is going down the same path as The tragedy #7 guild. I can not protect this guild forever. Guilds are sopost to help each other out right? In the news there was no mention of Sapphire Eclipse when that guild fell. It will just continue on."

Before Thea could answer him, he heard Vance exclaiming, he glanced over his shoulder and saw the man coming in fast. "That settles that..." He thought and left Thea and Vance without a word, walking out of the tavern and into the empty streets. It was a beautiful night, the moon hanging low in the skies the odd cloud blocking out a few stars here and there, but other than that the sky was clear with thousands of little points of light. He mae his way through the empty streets his footsteps echoing through them the only other sound being the wind rustling through the trees. The words of a song came to him and he started to sing to himself. It was an attempt to lift his own spirits a little after all that happened that day. "... Will we ever know what the answer to life really is? Can you tell me what life is? Maybe all the things that you know that are precious to you, Could be swept away by Fate's own hand..." He had walked faster than he realised and quickly stopped singing as he walked through the door, only to be greeted by three people standing just inside the Guild Hall, they probably had heard him sing. No matter, he noted that two of them had the mark of the guild, he hadn't seen them around or so he thought nor had he seen the other girl. With the reading in mind it couldn't hurt to get to know some more people. The little alcohol he did have in his veins broke down the walls of his inhibitions just enough for him just to take the step. He walked over to the three. "Good evening ladies and gentleman, I apologise for interrupting, I only recently joined the guild and am still getting to know everyone, my name is Conrad and who might you two be?" He asked already extending his hand for a handshake.

 

So. Many. People. First it had only been the girl, and that was fine. Tessa was passable, good even at one on one interaction. Then the man with white hair, more of a boy really, had appeared, introducing himself. That had been okay, but then a second man had come. Tessa bit her lip as her face flushed, struggling to win the battle against her instincts to panic and run. This girl, Alessia, was helping her. She needed to stay. She could do this. Just one breath.

Her hands gripped the bottom of her shirt tightly as she licked her lips. "I'm Tessa." She managed to whisper as she ducked her head, her words barely even able to be heard above the din of conversation in the guild hall. "I need a Dragon Slayer because...because.." How could she tell them? She had no idea herself. Except that one day in a panic she had nearly torn apart her parent's house, and completely destroyed her own life in the process.

"I....I need help. I need someone to tell me what to do." She stuttered her way through the entire sentence, keeping her eyes on the ground and her voice barely above a whisper. It wouldn't help matters if she needed to repeat herself, but she couldn't manage to bring her voice up any louder. "I....I need help." She repeated lamely, her face coloring darker red as she secretly cursed her own social inadequacies that make it so hard to carry on conversations with others. If only she had been socialized more as a child. If only she had found a boyfriend. If only she had-

Whoa, getting ahead of herself there. But somehow, the thought of having sex gave her courage, and she raised her voice, though not her head. "I think I'm looking for the Dragon Slayer who has Sky Magic. I need someone to teach me how to control myself."

Please let this be it. She prayed, to whomever was listening. She even managed a small smile at white haired man who stood next to her.

 

Conrad Heinrich Adelbrecht Carsten von Eisenstein II

The girl not part of the guild responded first, her name was Tessa. It was hard to hear what she had said he had caught on fairly quickly that she was extremely nervous. He put his hands in the pockets of his blue coat and simply listened, showing that he was relaxed to put the girl at ease a bit more. He took in what she was saying apparantly she was a bit like Thea needing help to learn to control her magical powers. He considered staying away from both Thea and Tessa but that would be drastic. He knew when he would have to stay clear with Thea and Tessa clearly wanted to get it all under control. And even more so Tessa had only just arrived, by the looks of it. It would be wrong of him to turn away now. The girls cheeks had gone red, her voice was very soft, but she found some inner strength as she spoke up in a louder voice. "I haven't been around for too long, but I think you've come to the right place, Tessa, it's nice to meet you" It was then that he caught her smiling at him it was only a small smile, but he couldn't help but smile back at the girl it felt contagious like that. He looked to Alessia and Zephyr awaiting an answer on his initial question.

 

"Oh, Sky Dragonslayer? You're looking for Caliborn then! That's good actually, he's probably one of the nicest people here. Whatever you need help with, he'll help you." Alessia replied, and that's when the people arrived. Zephyr appeared out of nowhere, who she was glad to see. "Hey Zephyr. Sure, come join us. This is Tessa, she's new." She gestured towards her. What could she need help with though? She's looking for a dragonslayer which is pretty specific. Even more so if she's looking for a Sky Dragonslayer. I guess she knows a bit of magic, after all she knows how to identify some stuff and I just get the feeling off her. I can sense it in a way. Then, the white haired man showed. He introduced himself as Conrad. He seemed polite enough, so he probably wasn't harmful or anything. Besides, he was a guild member. She gave him a firm handshake.
"It's nice to meet you Conrad. When did you arrive? Sounds like you've been here a little while, I guess I just never noticed." She asked. And then something hit her. She glanced back at Tessa. "Wait, control yourself? What's going on with you? Is your magic out of control?" Please not another one, please not another one, pleasenotanotherone! [DOUBLEPOST=1442348348][/DOUBLEPOST]

"Well, at least you're safe. I'm glad for that much." Vance said, looking around. "As for why I am here, I assumed you'd come here with Edric so here I came. As it seems, it has worked out and you're here now. And I was just having a conversation with somebody interesting. It is quite astounding what you learn from people." Vance did not miss a beat with Conrad leaving as soon as he approached and he watched the man suspiciously. He left specifically because of him. They did not get along well to start with, he knew that much, but he knew that Conrad would not simply leave company just because of his presence. What had happened while he was upstairs talking to Shani? What changed his mind...? He narrowed his eyes. I'll have to find out. That is not you, I know that much.
"Now then Thea, what would you like to do? Do you want to stay here and look around or go back to the Guild?" If they stayed, he could ask Florica if something happened with Conrad and if not, then he could track down Conrad personally and ask. Something felt off about his behaviour. Vance was determined to find out what it was exactly.

 

Guild hall:

Jack's pov: He couldn't help over hear the confersation with Alessia, Conrad, Zephyr, and Tessa. He stood up and walked over. "Sorry, maybe I can help. I'm waiting to talk to Caliborn also." "I....I need help. I need someone to tell me what to do. I think I'm looking for the Dragon Slayer who has Sky Magic. I need someone to teach me how to control myself." The girl said. Worry appered on his face, quickly to disappear, as he knew only one other person there that knew what he did, that was Alessia. Oh not another one, maybe she was different then Thea. He then tried to silently tell Alessia not to say anything. No reason to worry this new person and make her think thats what would happen to her. "Here is some advice. You don't want people to tell you what to do. Trust me on that. You should be happy with your own choises. Let me say it this way. It like pick your own adventure book. If someone picks all your choises for you, will you be happy with the outcome? Help will come to those that ask for it. Just be happy there your own choises and not those someone forces on to you. As for helping you control yourself, practice what you need conrol with in a safe environment with someone there to help. Try in small amounts and don't over do it. The turtle won the race not the rabbit. Small steps you will see progress, large ones you might just see one and might not see yourself get better. I'm sure Caliborn will be willing to help you."

 

Rennette used Esuna on Veilen.

Mizuki just kinda glared at Baltazar (that is not how you spell his name but I don't give a flying ****). Time is ticking, or something.

Alessia shook his hand firmly and he did so in return. "Likewise Alessia, it has been a while, went on two missions, but I can't really say I have kept track of the time." Another person joined them and he saw worry flash across his face, Alessia asked about her control over magic. The newly arrived bloke then continued to lecture her on how letting others make all decisions for you is bad, he clearly misunderstood what Tessa meant. The way he saw it, taking the nervousness into account he figured that what she did want to be instructed on was how to keep her magic under control, not how to live her entire life. He decided to speak up for her, just to take a little bit of the group pressure off her, which was what made her nervous. "While most of your reasoning is sound, there is a single error you made. Sure I can be wrong here, but I don't think she meant to ask us to tell her what to do with every single thing in her life. Merely asking for pointers to help her with her magic." Conrad said, calmly pointing out what he felt was an error in Jack's reasoning. He had been polite about it and if this man got offended by it, the fault wasn't his own or atleast he felt it wouldn't be.

 

Guild hall:

Jack's pov: "While most of your reasoning is sound, there is a single error you made. Sure I can be wrong here, but I don't think she meant to ask us to tell her what to do with every single thing in her life. Merely asking for pointers to help her with her magic" Conrad had said. "I am Jack by the way" he said to them. "I wasn't trying to imply that at all." He said somewhat confused on how to exactly reply. "It is fine taking advice to deside what you want to do. Just not to do things to make someone happy or do what they want you to do. If you really need pointers on magic Tessa, any of the people with magic ability should be able to help you. It is different with a guild, your role on a mission, what you think is right, and what you should do in a situation. Fallow your leader, the s-ranks, they know whats best. Tessa perhaps you should talk to Evenora. You can trust the guild, they will help you. We all help each other, even if we aren't sure we need help others offer." He stopped it was difficult saying what he ment. "Friendship and knowledge are your best tools. Do you want me to leave?" He asked everyone. He seemed sad for a second. It seemed no one wanted his advice or help. Whenever he tried it always seemed to turn upside down. The last mission he was on went the best, while the one before that was the worst.

"Hey Tessa." Zephyr said, addressing the new girl before Conrad had arrived. Since he'd gone ahead and introduced himself, it was only polite for Zephyr to do the same. "I'm Zephyr, we went on the Everlue job together." He'd overheard part of what Tessa had said and well still being a new member himself the only dragonslayer that he knew was Quinn and his wasn't sky dragon slayer. Alessia seemed to know just who to suggest so he left it to her. That was when Jack had arrived and given some advice of his own, which he later clarified due to what Zephyr could guess was a misunderstanding. He decided to not to add anything on that and instead turned to Tessa. "If you really need help controlling you're magic, I could try helping you." Did he know anything about sky magic, nope. Was that going to stop him from trying to help, again nope. Jack had asked if he should leave, which Zephyr found odd. "If you want to."

Veilen's dream had him on some funky island were he was handed a massive sword that glowed along with a magic stone of sorts. The sword he was given closely resembled the decaforce sword. Now that he had the sword, there was only one thing that he could do. Become the next master, seeking out the stones with a carrot nose dog at his side. His quest would not be done alone for he had two other companions at his side. together they would be on a mission filled with danger. 3,2,1 Time for Raveolution. That was when Veilen had woke up with assistance from Rennette. He had no idea what that dream was about or why his sword was specifically in it, but whatever. They still had a sheep to fight. SO he proceeded to use binding strike on it.

"A misunderstanding on my behalf, I was thrown off by your words of and I quote: 'Here is some advice. You don't want people to tell you what to do. Trust me on that. You should be happy with your own choises. Let me say it this way. It like pick your own adventure book. If someone picks all your choises for you, will you be happy with the outcome?' This made me think you misunderstood what Tessa was asking for, a reasonable assumption don't you think?" Conrad said, he hadn't offended the man and learned his name was Jack, then out of the blue this bloke asked whether he should leave or not. "I see no reason why you should do so." He said then taking a second look at the man who had named himself Zephyr and then vaguely remembered that what the man had said was true and replied in kind "I remember that now that you mention it, I apologise for not doing so before." He yawned again behind his hand and was reminded why he had come back to the Guild in the first place. "I think it's time for me to go find my bed.It's been nice to meet all of you and I'll see you all somewhere along the way. I apologise once more for my misinterpretation." With that he left the small gathering of people and marched on to the Dorm rooms, getting turned around a few times he eventually found his dorm room. He took off his belts and long coat and put them away, proceeding with removing his boots and pushing them under the bed. He reflected on the events of the day, it had been a long one and not thebest day he had had, but he knew he had made progress towards his goal. He lay down on the bed and only moments later the young man had drifted off to sleep peacefully

 

Tessa shuffled her feet, keeping her head down. The newcomer meant well, he was only giving advice. Conrad began to talk with him, both arguing their points of view. It was a little overwhelming, and as Tessa looked from one to the other, she hoped Alessia or Zephyr would stop the conflict

She hated conflict. Regardless, the conversation ended, and Conrad bid them goodnight before striding away. She watched him go for a moment, her whispered farewell barely leaving her lips before she turned to Zephyr. He was so soft spoken he could easily be lost in the mix. Kind of like herself.

"You'd really be able to help me?" She asked, excitement coloring her voice. Tessa looked from Alessia to Zephyr and back again before offering a small smile to Jack.

"You don't have to leave. I mean. I thought I was in the wrong place, but now I think I'm right where I belong." She smiled in thanks to Alessia before turning to Zephyr. "Do you know Sky Magic too?"

"Well I'll try." Zephyr answered. He didn't want to get her hopes up in the event that he couldn't be of much help to her. Last thing that he wanted to do was disappoint someone else. She too didn't think Jack should leave. "Well I don't know much about it, but as far as controlling magic goes that I might be able to help with."
