Kageyama was kneeling when Alessia did to kick him in the chest and put her foot on him, holding him at sword point. "You can play lullaby, like you can any other flute. It plays a song of death that will kill anyone within a certain radius." Kageyama explained. "I am sorry, Alessia. I want to corporate with you." Kageyama breathed heavily. "But please get your foot off my chest you're digging into my stab wound."

Cassandra looked over at Ander. "I can rest when I get back to the Guild." She told Ander, trying to comfort him. She turned to him when he mentioned it was a strange place for the Guild Masters to be. "Well, it is sort of in the middle of everything, and this beautiful hall is here. I'm not surprised they would hold it in somewhere like this.." She gestured to it, though she was also breathing heavily. She didn't tell Alessia to move her foot, since she was also pretty angry with Kageyama.

Kageyama coughed when Zephyr said he was hoping he wasn't that stupid. He started to laugh. "I'd rather be at sword point." Kageyama mumbled under his breath.

"Well, it's sort of like a sleep. It's a death sleep." He explained to Jack. "Have you heard the tale of the Sleeping Beauty?" Kageyama asked him. "The evil fairy casts a spell to put the Princess into a sleep of death, but the fairies of light, they reverse it to add in things like love. It's the power struggle between love and death. Erigor told us about the Guild Masters, it was his plan all along to come ambush them here. It's not like it's hidden knowledge or anything." Kageyama closed his eyes for a moment, trying to think "I knew about Ren because of Erigor, he has spies everywhere. At least he did." Kageyama continued to talk. "I knew about Sapphire Eclipse, everyone does. If you mean the dark guild, then, I just found my way there. Erigor told us everything we needed to know. Maybe he found a book or something, or just heard rumors."

"Aoki, Ander, Jack. All wonderful names." One of the Guild Masters interrupted as Aoki spoke. "The flute is a demon from the book of Zeref. Erigor wanted us to use it here to cause chaos with the Legal Guilds, and to get revenge."

"Thank you for remembering my injury." He muttered to Zephyr.

"Lullaby's true form, in the flesh, is a horrible monster." The Guild Master explained, crossing his arms. "Its forbidden black magic, living magic. Zeref's magic."

"Zeref is the most evil wizard the world has ever known. He was very powerful in his day, and he's left behind his magic to take on monstrous forms. That flute is dormant, for now."

"Yes, if the flute 'wakes up', it could be dangerous. Destroying it could do that, but we would need to research it fuller."

"Young man, we need to get you to a doctor." The man said to Kageyama. "Alessia, do you mind moving your foot for us, pretty please."

"Ah they're reminding me of when were we young wizards."

"Back in ancient times?" Kageyama started to laugh.

"You know when I was younger I looked just like you Kaggy." He continued. "I'm Master Bob, if you guys didn't know."

"And I'm Master Goldmine." He paused. "You know, we were trouble some kids back in the day, just like you guys."

"And the council got oh so angry at us." Evanora chuckled.

    "Evanora you haven't aged, tee-hee."

"Anyway, Kageyama." Evanora knelt down to him. "Now that you've seen what it's like to be in an actual magical guild, what do you think? It's much more fun than a dark one."

Kageyama paused. "I mean, it does, but I couldn't be part of Sapphire Eclipse. I need time to, reform, or something."

"I'll make sure of that." Evanora said quietly. "But when you do, you'll always have a place with us, if that's what you so choose. Or maybe you'll go on your own adventure." Kageyama nodded.

"Is there anything you need to ask, anything else at all?" Kageyama asked them. "If not then, well, as the Master said I need a doctor." He coughed blood this time, and his pupils went wider.

“Now there’s one more thing.” Evanora spoke, crossing her arms. “What on earth are we going to do with the flute?” She asked. “Destroying it could cause a demon, one we wouldn’t be able to control. That could put a lot of people at risk. We could send the flute to the Outlands, but if Ezekiel finds it we will be dealing with a new problem.” She walked around, putting her fingers by her temples. She then sat down, and sat back up, and walked around some more, as if she were trying to think.

Master Bob spoke up. “If there’s anyone who can protect it it’s you honey.” He explained to her. “It being in the hands of the Magic Council might proof to be too much for them, and plus there’s so much dark energy there the monster might reform.”

“If anything, I say you should keep an eye on it at your Guild. You’ll be able to keep it safe there, and we won’t have to worry about it falling into the wrong hands, as long as you don’t give it to Mikasa.” All the Guild Masters laughed this time, as Evanora then turned to the rest of the group. She started to speak.

“It’s better to ask you all, what do you think we should do with the flute?” Evanora said. “You all found it, you know what it does, and I want to see if you can make a decision without me.” She smirked. “Of course if it does put someone in danger, I’ll have to step in, I’m just curious. You’ve come this far, but now what? What do you want next, what do you want to know? What do you want to do with the flute?”

Jack's pov: He wasn't happy with the answers he got. "I want names. How are they spying on us? Were are they spying from? Why are they spying on us? Evenora the guild isn't a save place for the flute." How could she even think of putting it there. Kage just told them there is spys. "Look if we put it in the guild hall somehow the spys will know exactly were it is. There is nothing stopping them from just comming in and grabbing it. How strong is this demon exactly? Couldn't all the s-classes and higher level classes beet it? If nothing else wouldn't love kill it? I am not saying what we do with it until I know more. I do know the guild hall isn't the safest place for it."

    Ander's pov:
When the question of how Kageyama found about them the answers came to him. Being in a dark guild information was relatively easy to get. It could be any number of things from a inside job to just watching them. He said nothing no the matter so not to influence Kageyama's answer. Then Quinn had his gun pointed at Kageyama. Using lethal means was unnecessary, that said they were srounded by guild letter and if they had a problem with it they could deal with it. Besides it was not really his place to say anything to Quinn. Then it came to Kageyama talking about lullaby.
'It plays a song of death that will kill anyone within a certain radius.' This sounded so like he herd that before. Then it hit him, he did here about it before only by a different name. "The death Flue." 'I can rest when I get back to the Guild,' Cassandra said. "You are going to end up killing yourself. Just take some of my energy." He then held out his hand to give Cassandra some of his energy. "Many guilds are hidden or the ones I been to this seems to open." Then Kageyama started talking about how he got the information. It was not really a surprise or anything. No new information came that he did not already know. He let out a sigh of relief when one of guild masters did not recognize his name. "So, Zeref is behind this can not say I am surprised by it." Then the Question of what to do with the flue came in. Evanora was letting them decide, he was somewhat shocked. "Destroying the flue could lead to unforeseen things. Just leaving it around is also bad, because the dangerous horrible monster demon could come out at any moment. I think I have a solution that might work. Suppressive magic, a magic that can suppress any magic, while it is mostly used by dark guilds it still can be used, that said Zeref's magic is powerful and using some sort of suppressive magic may not work at all." He hoped that him knowing such a rare magic would not arise any thoughts on how he knew of said magic. "If we can not do that it might be better to destroy it when there are more people to take out the demon then to wait and it to come out unexpectedly and not prepared."
    Gave Jack a snickers.

    Beucette found 50 Jewels.

    Calxiyn
looked around, wide eyed as she heard Balthazar. "What's happening?"

"Alisa has flooded one of the hallways, everyone needs to get out of here. You have to find the way out. Don't stop for dead ends, you must run."

    Calxiyn
felt her heart pounding, as she could hear the water fill faster and faster. "Let's go." She nodded. She ran forward with incredible might. She could feel her heart pounding wildly. She couldn't drown in here. As she ran, she found the exit. She was pulling Malkira along. "I'm afraid that you might get stuck in here if the water hits you. I don't think you can swim." Calxiyn continued. She could hear other water ways start opening, and starting to flood the maze. "Why are the other ones activating, what's going on?"

"I don't know. Calxiyn, Alisa, Lucia, Beucette, Mizuki, stay calm. It's going to be fine. We're coming to meet you." Balthazar told them. He then turned to Caliborn, and made a run for it.

As Calxiyn kept running, suddenly, out of the blue, she saw a door.

"The exit, we found the exit! We were on the right track all along Malkira!" Calxiyn cried happily.

"Open the door, quickly!" Balthazar shouted. "When we get there we'll be able to leave. Lucia, make sure you run back, you still have time, let's go."

Calxiyn pointed her Keyblade at the door, and a bright light flew into the lock. There was a click. "Come on, let's go!" Calxiyn ran through. "Balthazar, Caliborn... Lucia..." She looked back. "They have to make it out okay."

    [IMG][IMG]
"Welcome then." The blonde with the longer hair gave them a smile. Rho and Aias were perfectly in sync. "We've been told that you are here with your Guild, so I have to ask, what Magic to do both use?" She said, leaning on the bar.

"Aileen, you can't just ask them what magic they use." The other girl laughed. "That's intimidate details for a Wizard ain't it?"

"I'm just curious. We don't see a lot of Wizards you know." She put her hands on her hips. "I guess I'll start by introducing myself though. I'm Aileen, and this is Enya." She gestured to the shorter haired girl.

"I get horribly embarrassed around Shani when she is flirting like that, I figured I would save you as well." Florica started laughing. "I must tell you though, there is something else. I am seeing... well I'm not sure. In your past, do you know someone of green skin?" Florica asked Conrad. She took a piece of paper out of her belt, and started to draw what she was seeing. It was a dead ringer for the women that they had seen attack Nessa.

"It's like a family, of course." She smiled at Vance. "Families fight and that's what a Guild is, isn't it?" She listened to his adventure. "A daughter?" Shani raised her eyebrows. "That's very generous of you." She continued to listen. "Banned from marrying?" She thought about this. "How interesting." She continued to ponder. "There are a lot of liars and cheats in this world, unfortunately. But there are also very honest people, you know." She then said something she thought might shock him. "Maybe it's best you didn't marry her. It wouldn't have brought you here, and maybe this place has given you some insight." She then started to laugh. "And you know, maybe it just means you're meant for someone else." She gave him a wink. "Come sit down. But not on that chair." She pointed somewhere else in the room. "You'll get your clothes dirty. Here." And then patted spot beside her.

Caliborn, realising that he was actually meant to have been doing **** this whole time ran to the the exit because what the hell else is he meant to do, for serious. Oh, and I guess if there's water then he uses his Sky Dragonslayer and Wind Magic to fly over it because Caliborn is an S-Class badass who don't care about no stupid frigging maze that he really didn't want to have anything to do with anyway.

"Yes, I suppose it is family. I suppose that makes me the cousin that nobody speaks to and has a rather superior attitude for some reason, despite being only barely related to everyone at the gathering." He joked slightly. She was correct in all of her judgements as far as he could tell. There was nothing that he could really object to in what she was saying. However, once again and somewhat unexpectedly, the conversation took a rather different turn. "I agree, there are many dishonest people in the world. And I dislike them. It is a shame that people believe they should lie. Liars are amongst some of the worst people in my opinion. Were people more truthful the- Well, I suppose it would be useless to marry her at this point. Not that I even have the chance. And, I suppose you are right in that coming here has opened my eyes to some degree about the world and the state of being." It was painfully obvious what she was trying to lead him into doing, but he could hardly do it. However... He realised that he hadn't much of a choice. The door was shut and she was likely a great deal quicker than him. He didn't want to use magic on her, that would be unbecoming and dishonourable. He looked around for any escape out of this, but deemed it pointless. Either he would go sit on that bed willingly, or he would be forced on to it. Of that, Vance had no doubts at all.
"Very well, I suppose I should take a seat. Standing when offered a place to sit is considered rude." Vance sighed before sitting down next to her. His back was rigid and he had his hands placed firmly on his lap. He looked straight ahead, at the wall, determined not to look at the woman who was trying and unfortunately succeeding somewhat at seducing him.

He smiled when Florica replied "That is something I can understand and thank you for your concideration." He said. Then the question came, he thought about it, his mind immediatly flashed back to the aftermath of the contest. That green witch, the one who had cursed Lady Nessa, the one who summoned the magnificent creatures that attacked them. It had to be her, if he had run into any other green skinned people he would remember. Not even the inexplicable dreams of faraway places and the sense of dread that accompanied them, contained any green skinned people. Shadows was all he saw in them and he thanked the Lady for it. He was getting sidetracked again. He then noticed her drawing on a piece of paper and his suspicions had been proven right, it was the witch. "Yes, I'd recognise her anywhere. That is the witch that attacked us. She claimed relation to Lady Nessa, but even she didn't recognise her, so either something very weird is happening or that green-skinned woman is an absolute nutter..."

Trevor sat at the bar, downing the first drink he had ordered before moving onto a second of the same thing without really caring too much. It seemed that George didn't even care to take over a drunk body, and Derk was incapable of a forceful takeover, except in battle. This was good, he could drink as much as he wanted, it didn't matter. He was going to take full advantage of that. His eyes still scanned the room at times but each time he got less observant and didn't care as much. He pretty much didn't even notice when the young girl stumbled into the bar as he was starting on his fourth drink already.

Soon after leaving Skadi and Tessa, Thea had found herself lost. She didn't really have much of a clue where they were in the first place, she was just following Skadi. And then when she had gotten scared she didn't even think about that as she walked away until it was too late to do anything about it. The young girl bit her lip as she looked around her trying to recognize something, anything, but she couldn't. So Thea decided to do what she thought was the most logical thing to do in this situation, go to the closest business and ask for help to get back to the guild hall.

Thea nervously stepped into the closest building, some local tavern. She didn't really leave the entry way or look up to see that her guild was there. Instead she kept her eyes to the ground and took a deep breath to calm her nerves before speaking.
"Excuse me. I am lost, can anyone help me find the way back to my guild hall." Her voice was soft and quiet meaning not many people would hear her among the noise of the tavern unless they were near her. This place was making her just as nervous, no, more nervous and scared than Damian had made her, but there was no turning back now. What else could she do? She was lost and if she kept walking she would only get more lost. She needed someone to guild her home, take her back to her father. She just hoped that someone here would be nice enough to do so.

Oh dear, the maze appeared to be flooding. Cal desperately started running and tried to drag him along "Don't worry too much about me, I don't have to breath after all" Malkira had once walked across the bottom of a riverbed, he would be fine surely. He jogged along easily following Cal, the water barely hindering his travel. Soon enough they arrived at a door "Didn't I say? Always go left, my tactic worked perfectly" he walked along casually as the water rose, no need to rush, and eventually strode through the door, making it look easy. "And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how you complete a maze, and we would have done it so much quicker if you all followed me at the start"

So one was named Tessa it seemed. She was extremely pretty according to Dawn. Damian had introduced her it seemed which it wasn't an issue really. It just meant less to write in the long run. However, among the idle conversation, Dawn could notice a younger girl, cowering behind the other two. It seemed she was in fear of Damian and his drunken self. He wasn't too scary but to a young girl like her, it could be terrifying.

<I was given an extra mission by the guild leader. It took longer than expected. Please excuse me.>

Once after handing the paper over to Skadi, Dawn walked over to Tessa and gave a smile while holding her shoulder. She was quick to release. There was something wrong with Thea, or the girl she didn't know at all. She had ran off and Dawn found it in herself to go after her. It was getting dark and she new what it was like to be alone in fear in the night. She was able to see her throughout the running. A frilly dress wasn't hard to miss really.

Eventually, the turns and corners were becoming sharper and shorter, making the girl harder to track. However, eventually, Dawn would catch up to Thea. It would have been so much easier to call her out, but it wasn't that simple for the mute. Her hand had to reach out for Thea. Finally, the screams for help began to cry out. Once she stated she was lost, Dawn had realized it was the same for her. It was a soft cry fro help, but Dawn had entered the tavern with her, able to listen to it fully. Losing your voice made it possible to enhance your hearing after all.

Dawn reached her hand out and put it on Thea's shoulder. She knew the girl was scared so the pinkette needed to do something about making her feel more safe.

<I'm here with you. I'm sorry about Damian's scary appearance. I'm part of Lunar Eclipse too. We'll try to find our way back together, okay? I'm Dawn.>

Her smile was bright and reassuring. Hopefully this young girl Thea would realize this as well and come along. They could find their way back if they worked together as a team. Two lost girls in the middle of an unknown city, it would be a challenge, but there was faith within Dawn.

When Silvia had mentioned how her tonic helped with pains, the first thing that came to mind was his motion sickness and how what she'd given him helped mitigate it's effects. Having something like that would be handy should something ever happen while they were on something moving. "Does it also help with motion sickness?"

Silvia seemed to think that she was boring him, which definitely wasn't the case. Leo was actually interested in her herbs and what she could make.
"I don't find any of this boring, actually it's pretty interesting." That said, if she really wanted to do something else, then he wouldn't force her to keep talking about this. Usually when he was bored he just started looking for things to take pictures of, but he didn't know if Silvia would want to do that.

Naturally Alisa wasn't going to be able to keep running forever with the water slowly flooding the entire maze. Balthazar hadn't given her a express route out of here like she had requested, but it was quite fortunate for her that she ran into Cal and Malkira. By doing so, she was able to follow the two of them towards the exit of the maze.

Kageyama seemed to be in a much more cooperating mood with how he told them pretty much exactly what they wanted to know about the flute and what he was planning on using it for. He noticed Kageyama mumbling something, but didn't hear it so he brushed it off as nothing. The second time he muttered something and Zephyr did hear him. "You're welcome I guess." Part of the reason that he'd brought up the fact that he was injured was to get Alessia to ease up on her treatment of him.

Next up for debate was what to do with the flute. Destroying is was clearly out of the question.
"Can't we just seal it away somewhere no one will find it?" Zephyr did recalled reading about a Zeref in one of the many books that he's read over the years and demons were something he'd rather avoid fighting for the time being. Sealing it away seemed like the best option, espcially if you make a seal strong enough so that no one other than the ones who seal it can break it.

"No it doesn't.... I mean I know how to make one that does help with motion sickness. Do you want me to make you one? I can if you like." Silvia offered even though she thought this was boring him to just watch her do stuff like this. It was boring to do, that being said she didn't mind doing it anyways so she would do it if he wanted her too, she was just worried about everything, all the time for no real reason. It was kinda drilled into her, being a kid with no friends and who nearly died, to worry about every small thing ever. As she waited for Leo's response she began to dig though her bag for the herbs she would need to make a tonic to help with the motion sickness.

Thea jumped at the hand on her shoulder. She looked at the girls note and shook her head. Thea was scared and jumpy right now and she didn't understand what Dawn meant by Lunar Eclipse, and just by being with Damian caused Thea to be nervous with Dawn. "N-n-no. It is okay. I am just going to find someone to help me find my father that knows there way around. T-t-thank you." She stammered before running into the crowd. She started to see a few familiar faces but didn't really pay that much attention until she got to the other side of the room away from Dawn.

"Um can someone please help me find my way home and to my father." She said again, being sure it was quiet enough that there was no way of Dawn hearing it over the crowd, but hopefully loud enough that someone in that tavern would hear her and get her back to Vance. She was safe with Vance, nothing had gone wrong around him and he could help her get home and feel better. Though Thea was scared and upset she did her best not to cry and hide how close she was to crying.

"You look quite startled. In a way." She pulled out a flask from somewhere within her shirt. "Here. You look like you're going to faint on me. You're probably dehydrated." She handed it to him. "So, what's on your mind, Vance?" She asked him, turning herself to face him as she leaned her head near his to whisper to him. She looked actually concerned, not faking it at all. She seemed to be actually worried about him, since he didn't look very well.

"We have to get rid of the Lullaby Flute then. There's no other option. We should find a vault somewhere safe and seal it behind as many magical protective wards as we can. Is there anywhere like that at the Guild Hall? We have to keep wherever it is kept secret." Alessia said astutely. Reluctantly, she stepped off him to allow him to get healing. She was ordered to and as much as she didn't like it, she had to. "Don't try anything ever again Kageyama. If you do... I'll be waiting." With that, she flicked her hair and walked away to lean against a tree while the rest of events played out. If she stayed anywhere near Kageyama, she may well get arrested for committing murder.

He could hear the gentle sloshing of the liquid in the flask. It was true, he was thirsty but he wanted his wits about him. He didn't trust the woman not to give him any alcohol. However, he had no choice. He was offered a drink and well, he had no basis of refusal. Reluctantly, he took the flask and unscrewed the lid. Vance tipped the contents into his mouth. It tasted awful. As tempted as he was to spit the whole lot out on the floor, he couldn't. Wincing, he swallowed the alcohol and handed her the flask, accidentally splashing some of it on to her with the speed he shoved the flask at her.
"That, is quite possibly the worst thing I have tasted in my life. Is this what people call vodka? Truly it is a terrible drink. Why, this is almost completely alcohol with no other taste!" Vance exclaimed. "Have you no wine woman?"

Red erupted in laughter. "Ugh now I have to wash this shirt, unless I want to smell like a drunk." She continued laughing. "Wine? That's rich people drink. Luckily, Florica is as 'rich' as we can get here." She rolled her eyes. She hopped off the bed, and bent over to reach under her bed. From under it, she grabbed a bottle of wine, and two glasses. She blew them, and then used her shirt to 'clean' them. She popped open the bottle, and handed it to Vance. "Here, drink up." She poured to the maximum fill of the glass. "Now will you answer my question?" She teased.

Vance cracked a smile at her smelling like a drunk comment. Of course, the reason was that he expected that she did in fact get drunk from time to time. More often than not he imagined. However, that he decided not to mention for what was perhaps obvious reasons. What did surprise him was that when she reached under the bed she did actually have some wine which she poured him. He took the glass happily and sniffed it. He set it down on the floor for a moment.
"By the smell of it, it's a red and it needs some time to breathe. It will taste much better that way." Vance stated. It seemed that the woman had it in her head that something was bothering him. Of course, nothing really was bothering him apart from her odd behaviour but nonetheless, he could give her a believable answer. "I am just worried about my daughter. In the confusion of Edric inviting us all out, I lost her and assumed that she came with us. However... She was not. Perhaps she made her way here, perhaps she did not? I cannot say. I am just concerned as to where she is and how she is doing. She is dangerous when upset. After all, I did tell you about the setting fairies on fire incident that was reported to have occurred."

"If she's at the Guild Hall, she should be save shouldn't she? I'm sure she's just with some of her friends." Red shrugged. "You're new to the whole father thing, but something I've learnt as a, parental figure of sorts, is that sometimes you need to let them explore. Let them get hurt, let them do things for themselves, to figure it out you know?" She explained to him "It builds up their sense of risk you know? I'm sure that she's just fine. Plus, from all those stories, you sound like you need a little rest and recreation, as The King would say.."

"I suppose that makes sense. Well, last I checked we were at the Guild Hall so it is reasonable to assume that she stayed behind with the other people that did not come out." Vance mused. He looked suspiciously at her when she mentioned her 'rest and recreation'. There was something strange about that suggestion. It seemed wrong. As if she was trying to tempt him into something. He planned on making sure that did not happen. He refused to be tempted by the seductress in front of him. "What do you mean by this, 'rest and recreation'? I should hope you're not suggesting anything improper..."

Red started to laugh again. "Nothing you would mind, I'm sure." She gave him a smile. "Why, what do you want me to mean?" She flirted. "You need to let yourself go a little, Vance. Have you never had a little fun with a girl before?" She teased him, biting down on her lip. Of course, she didn't want to force Vance into anything, but she would push him to his limit. "You should try being a little more free spirited, for a change. No one is here to tell you what to do or how to act."

"I know, but... It is difficult to explain Miss Shani. I will be frank with you here - Something that I am not with most people. I am simply not ready for anything along... That line." Vance confessed. He reached down and swished the wine around in the glass before giving it an experimental sniff. It would do. He took a couple of sips and looked back at her. "I have never had any experience of the sort and I suppose you could consider me quite sheltered in that regard. Combine that with being taught that such acts were to be kept within your marriage I am wholly unsuited for this. Of course, I cannot marry now but... If you want that sort of entertainment there's better men out there than I. I am not used to it. Don't get me wrong. You're a good woman, I can see that. And perhaps... Perhaps another time. I shall come back round. It would be... Good to see you again I should think." Vance sighed and took another sip. He could feel something wrong, coursing through his veins. The alcohol. He must have drunk more of that cursed vodka than he meant to. And with the wine... He put the drink down and looked at his palms. Eventually, he knew, things did catch up to someone. Finally, everything was in perspective in a strange way. A near brush with a sexual experience reminded him that the way that he thought things like that would work was now impossible. He ha lost the chance to have a nice wife. He could not be what he was born to be. A married nobleman to have a child to continue the line. He had an adopted daughter, sure, but he would never have a child to call his own. Unless he wanted a bastard but that would never get through the world he lived in. The child would have to be acknowledged. There was no wife, no real family. Going home would be a terrible mess. There was a lot to explain... And most of it his father would be none too happy with. The realisation made him look up, a sad expression on his face.
"I can never go home, can I? Nothing is the same. What I once knew is now... Well now it is just a world I will never be able to live in the same way. My whole life up until this moment has lead up to something that cannot work properly now. I made a poor gambit." The nobleman lamented, putting his face in his hands. "And now... Here I am." The only thing he could do now was raise Thea to be a better person, not to make the same mistakes as he did. That way, the Dorians could get a useful heir. Even my usefulness in politics is diminished. It is not wise to annoy the heirs of families, because their assistance and a potential betrothal is worth it. Now there can be no betrothal. Powerful we are but now... Now that influence is potentially going to fall and fail unless Thea can take the names of Strive and Dorian forwards as one.

Red looked at him questionably. "I never meant that far." She said. "I don't want any entertainment from a random bloke off the street. You have an interesting personality, and I find you charming." She explained to him. "I'd like to see you again as well, as much as I tease you, I do, actually, like you Vance." She gave him a small smile. "Sometimes fate as better plans for us." She told him. "It's fluid, you know. Maybe being a boring noble wasn't your destiny." She nudged him. "Cheer up, I'm sure it'll be alright."
