"First off, your name. We need to know what to call you. Second, you're playing each group of people off the others. Are you that desperate to get rid of this ghost? Why not put out a normal job request?"

"I'm sorry, how rude of me. My name is Jensen Hemlock, but you may call me 'Mr. Hemlock' if you so wish." He laughed. "Well, to make this into a friendly competition will surly boost the speed of the process." He looked surprised as she asked about why they hadn't gone public with the job request.



Mikasa kicked herself. "Idiot." She muttered under her breath. "Don't you remember, Ms. Mikasa, this case is supposed to be low profile. The Magic Council would have a fit if they found out, as would the press. You told us that yourself." She rubbed her teeth together disapprovingly.




"Furthermore, what are we meant to be doing here? It is not as though we can just expel the negative spirits here on a whim."

"You may not be able to expel the spirit at all." He explained. "They are very persistent, and continue to come back. This might sound like a shock to you, but what we're asking you to do is use your magic to kill the spirit. The former leader of the Magical Council has faith that you Wizards will be able to do this for the Non-Magical Community."




Celosia sighed. "Hmpf, I'm sorry but I don't think I'm your type." She crossed her legs. "But Rosy here, well, let's just say she swings more on your side." She put her hand on Rosy's shoulder, who looked even more frazzled then she did before.

Satoya High School

"So all we gotta do is go to this school and sort out some kinda hauntin? Well that sounds easy enough. I ain't afraid of no ghost." Said Beucette, not remotely concerned about the fact that paranormal accidents were showing up around the school. She'd never been one to be afraid of much. Mostly because she never took anything seriously. She looked at the door to the principal's office. "So, how exactly are we gonna go about gettin' rid of a ghost? I don't think we can just ask it to leave."



"It isn't as easy as it sounds." A voice answered. It was the school's principle. "Please, come into my office."

They all sat down.

"Thank you for coming on such short notice." Principle Barker said. "We're truly grateful for your time."



"I am the guidance councilor, Ms. Mikami." The female behind him answered. "I will be taking you on a tour around the school, are there any questions?" She asked.

The door to the house opened.




"Hello! I'm so sorry I kept you waiting." A motherly voice said to the group. "Come in come in! You'll catch a cold standing in weather like this." She told them. "I'm taking up lunch to Elayne, my niece." She explained. "Will you come up with me?" She asked, grabbing a tray from a desk near the door. She looked a bit frightened, as if her going alone would put her in deep danger.

Mizuki shook her head. "Excuse me, I don't think I made my question clear," she told both Mikasa and Jenson. "I am not asking why the job wasn't public, we are all well aware of why that wasn't done. I am asking why the job was not given to just one guild, instead of pitching four groups of wizards against each other. Yes, perhaps it will speed things up, but I don't think by much. Furthermore," she added, "gathering this many people from different places isn't great if you want to keep things low key. I think this just over complicates things. It should have been kept simpler. But," she muttered, "it's too late for that now."
She looked at the other guild members. "Any ideas on how to approach this problem?"

Well, three wisps, no kids. This day care/orphanage contained more monsters than children it seemed. Would the parents have been happy about that? Never mind, he would just have to continue searching.
The next potential hiding place that caught Ren's eye was the fence. An obvious place for a child to hid. Kinda too obvious. There was almost certainly a wisp behind there as well. The RNG had made that much clear. Ren peeked over the fence, his staff ready to blast windy fury at the first sign of trouble. Hopefully he wouldn't be too trigger happy and accidentally attack a kid. That probably wouldn't look good on his job record.

Ander's pov
He got the feeling that no madder were he would look or if he looked in every spot . The rp owner would say he did not find the child they would have to look everywhere because the plot is what made it this way and no amount of looking would find the child.
What else could he do but to follow what was going on.
The imposable task of finding this child hit him. They would probably not find this child but he had to hold out hope that he would. Hop was such a old thing in the life of Ander. He held out for eight years for something he wanted but He never got it.
Were should he look next hum.. He started to think were was somewhere that he did not look. There had to be a clue to were the child was he just had to think of were the child would be.
IF he wanted to hide were would he go? If he was a child were would he go? Then it hit him.
The place he thought of was perfect spot. He was making his way to were he thought the child was then he saw Amanda having a hard time.

Ander used Cure on Amanda. Then he keep walking up to Garbage bin 3 (Church)

The woman seemed a bit frightened she opened her mouth to say something but did not. She did not want to seem rude. She was frightened too. She lost her locket no one talked to her. She learned at a young age that the only person who you can count on is yourself.
Everyone else is just a stone in her path. She thought about this for a few seconds.
Were people relly out to get you. No you had to take care for yourself. That the way it was. If you did not take care of yourself no one would.
She did not want to hurt people she did before and it was sad. Take a deep breath she told her self. She made her way into the woman's house to look inside it looked like she was inviting them in to her so why not go in. What were they doing on this mission she guessed she would find out soon enough.
The inside of the house looked nice. The wooden table the woman known as Zarine had a oak look to it.
In fact the whole entrance had that wooden look. The large oak wooden door She just went through was a nice touch.
There were many items displayed on the shelves she walked by. A nice looking blue vace at on a shelf by its self. Farther on she could spot old vintage chairs. There was a nice red one in the corner of the room. Red such a nice color. There was many old looking things in the home.
A large wooden oak stairs case stood by that lead to the upper floor.

"What do you mean you haven't figured out what I do you?" The one sole thing keeping Veilen form leaping on the taken as well and clearing that up was the fact that Mizuki had told Thomas and Gaius to get off of the table. However that still didn't mean he couldn't give himself a better introduction than what Gaius had given him. What he said about Charlotte was true enough and he couldn't help but to chuckle at what was said about Ra and Thomas, but his was the one that needed to be rectified. So he took in a breath before speaking.

"Adding on to what my friend said, I am a skilled swordsman and mage!" He declared proudly. Was there any proof to this, well the mage part there was, not so much for the swordsman half. Could any of them prove that his words weren't true, doubtfully. So as far as Veilen was concerned, his words were the truth. Not too long after Gaius and Thomas had gotten off of the table, more people from different guild had arrived. This was perfectly fine for Veilen. more people meant more of a challenge which meant greater satisfaction when they were the ones who came out on top. When Mizuki had asked what they were supposed to do, Veilen was thr first to answer. "I dunno, maybe try and find some of these spirits first."

"So where do we find these ghosts?" Zwei asked. There was no point in beating around the bush with this job. The sooner they could find out about the ghost that they would be dealing with, the easier it would be to get rid of them and finish the job. How though could a couple of ghost be anyway? They were art a high school not a haunted house or graveyard.

Suddenly, all the wisps disappeared. You could no longer hear the tapping.



The girl came out of the Garbage Bin. Looking absentmindedly at Ander. She looked very dazed, like she didn't understand what was going on. She dropped the stick on the ground, and rocked on her heels as if she was waiting for something.




The Pastor sighed happily. "Everyone! She's over by the Garbage Bins!" The Pastor announced, his voice booming over the silence in the Church Yard. The children were silent, and it seemed that even the wind had stopped.



"Oh Thank goodness." Johanna said. "Guys come 'ere!" She called, coming down from the stairs of the church. "Hasu, Alessia, Amanda, Theeeeerity!" She yelled.

Surprisingly, poking his head over the fence hadn't resulted in some deranged wisp trying to nom on it. Very surprising. And to top it all off, someone had actually found a child, of all things. Very strange, the child was obviously an anomaly in this wisp infested place.
Ren hurried over to where the kid was. Seemingly she had been hanging out by the trash bins, just like junior delinquents did. Suspicious. Very suspicious. Ren's eyes narrowed as he examined the child, keeping just out of arms reach in case she really was a wisp and would suddenly transform into her true form and proceed to attack his face.
"You sure this is the kid that was missing?" he asked the Pastor in a suspicious tone. "Can't be too careful you know. Just look at those dazed, confused eyes. A sign of evil if I ever saw one." Anxious to settle his fears regarding the girls allegiance or lack thereof to the Forces of Darkness, Ren reached at with his staff and gently poked the girls forehead. And again, just to be safe. And a third time. He considered a fourth, but decided to let the child/disguised wisp react to his initial proddings.

Another one of those things... What was going on here there was nothing like this earlier. Where had they all come from? Just, where? These blue spirits, how could they just appear like that? Where could they have been this entire time? These children were in danger, serious danger that was for sure. She kept looking around, moving as fast as she could. She couldn't lose that child. Where could she have gone? If she couldn't find her soon, then she'd have to go back and tell them that someone was lost in the forest, and the sooner the better. She thought she saw something behind another bush, near the edge of the forest towards the cathedral. Maybe the child had found her way! She rushed forwards, sprinting now.
"Hello! Hello!" She called. She jumped, bursting through the bush being scratched and slapped by every branch as she did so. She was met by a ghostly laugh and a blue wisp. She gripped her sword and swung as hard as she could in a lightning fast diagonal slash, the same way she had dispatched the others. Before her strike even connected, the wisp faded away in a flash of blue, leaving a little rain of sparkling blue dust in it's wake. Where did it go? Then she heard the call and looked up. Johanna was calling. She took one last despairing look before running back. Where was that girl? Why did she run? She didn't understand. When she arrived, breathless she looked up and breathed a sigh of relief.
"There she is!" She panted. "I've been looking for her all over the forest the poor girl must have got lost in there. Is she okay?"

Child's Play



He hadn't seen that look on Zarine's face before. It couldn't have been good. She looked worried. They'd sort this out. What could be so unsettling about the goings on in the house that called her to the guild, and gave her that worried look? He showed no sign of this concern for her at all and Caliborn's face remained as it was. He became acutely aware of the bow and blade at his back though. This situation troubled him. He disliked it when strange things meddled with his friends. Outwardly of course, his calm demeanour never shook.
"Very well, we shall accompany if you wish." Caliborn said, stepping inside. He took note to wipe his boots on the mat provided, although they weren't all that dirty in the first place so it was basically pointless. It was a very nice house though. He had always liked it. "Everyone, keep your eyes out. There are strange goings on here, so be cautious." It went without saying, but it would hopefully make Zarine feel better knowing that everyone was on their guard for anything strange going on. The knowledge could be reassuring, even if it was quite obvious.

Ander's pov:
He managed to find the child no Thank you Ander no nothing. Well at this point he was getting use to getting ignored.
The child looked a little afraid. He saw that Ren was probably trying to get the child to smile or something.
"Ren I don't think that is the best idea right now. although" in a whisper he said "trying to get the childs mind off thing might be for the best." Then he looked at the child and got on her level. "What is your name?" how old are you?" He was tring to get the child's mind on other things.
"Can you tell me what happened? you don't need to be afraid anymore I am here to help." He wondered if the child would answer him.
After all it was a experience for her.

 

"Daddy daddy!" She yelled, latching onto Hasu. "I missed you so so soooo much!" She cried happily.




Johanna looked at Hasu, and then at the girl. She turned her attention to the group. "What did she just say?..." Johanna asked, her voice sweet again like it had been the night before. It seemed she was finally out of the mood Dale put her in. "Father?" She looked at the Pastor, who stared at the child in amazement.

Amanda Pov: Blood, it was everywhere she would never get that image out of her head, and probably wouldn't feel clean for a while. She screamed again after she killed that last wisp. She found her way to were the others were shaking as you found them. The image of blood fresh in her mind.

Jacks pov: "Have you noticed anything strange or weird lately miss, or anything different at all?" He asked as he entered the house. He wanted answers but didn't want to frighten the girl. He looked around as he entered waiting for his answer, hopeing he did not worry her.

Ander's pov:
Ander did not even know Ren had a child. Well needless to say Ren had some explaining to do. He had to admit he was curious about ren. He made a choice right then and there.
He was going to stay at the cathedral. He was going to help here. perhaps the guild might forget about him in time. He thought about asking Ren or Alessia to stay with him but he could not do that to them. After all they had a life to live. He waited for Ren's explanation for the child was the child just a fling or was there more to it.

Ren took a step back, taken by surprise by the child. "I suppose she isn't a wisp," he muttered quietly, looking down curiously at the child. The poor thing, she thought he was her father. He lifted his hand to pat her on the head, but hesitated, unsure of if he should. It can't hurt, can it? Just be gentle.
He rested his hand lightly on the child's head, and went down onto one knee so that he could talk to her face to face. "I'm sorry, little one. I'm not your daddy," he smiled sadly. He paused, unsure of what else to say. Reassure her? Or try to show her he understood how she felt. Worth a shot.
"I miss my daddy too," he told her gently. "I haven't seen him in a very long time. It's hard not having your father around, but maybe we can help each other to get through it, hmm? I'll help you, and you can help me. Does that sound good to you?"

Alessia's jaw dropped when she called Ren her father and grasped him. She covered her mouth, regaining her composure but still shocked, watching the scene unfold out in front of her. Immediately her thoughts began to cascade. Ren was a father? Was there more to this man than it seemed? Who was he? Who was she? Why was she in care when she had a father? It was heart breaking to watch. The girl was crying. Was it happy or sad? She guessed happy. She wasn't good at understanding people from their expressions, but even she could tell that Ren looked sad. Why? Wasn't he happy to see his daughter? Then it was answered.

Ren wasn't the father? Then who was? Did he look like her father? Why was she there? What was causing this? Her heart broke even more as she listened. He was gentle. Very gentle. She could believe he was a father. The way he handled this, so carefully and supportively, it reminded her of her own father. A pang of homesickness hit her again. How were her family doing? She'd have to write a letter home when she got back from the mission. After this... She decided she would have to talk to the man and find out more. He didn't seem it at first... But perhaps he was a truly good man at heart. She didn't know what to make of him before, but maybe, beneath that exterior... She barely recognised the person that she saw gambling his money away so casually at the guild. Who was he? And what was going on with the child? Either way, she had a lot of questions...

Ander's pov:
"We will find your dad. I will find him even if I have to stay. I know what it is like to have series of doors thrown in your face. I volunteer to stay here for the rest for my life to help you child and your friends." Ander had that look like something was bothering him. "Ander" a voice in his head said "you have work to do." He put his hand on the key around his neck. then moved it away. "were did you see you dad last?"

 

"It appears Leon has mistaken you for his father." The Pastor said. "Now that you mention it, you do look a lot like him." Father replied. "Thank you for finding her, Ander."



Johanna then started to explain the others what was really going on here. She thought at least Hasu would've gotten it, being there with Father when he talked about the strange things that were happening.

"The child is possessed." Johanna said. "They were playing hide and seek with us." She explained. "The children aren't harmed when they are taken by the spirit, but that's all the want to do, is play Stick." She patted the child's head. "They normally never talk though, and are usually very quiet. Stick, Is basically Hide and Go Seek, but with a Stick, instead of shouting they’ll tap sticks. One hit means they’re not ready yet and more than one hit means they’ve found their hiding place.” She told them. "The kids will hide in and not come out until they've been tagged."

"I'm sorry, I should explain who exactly Leon is. According to Father there was a boy there at the Orphanage named Leon, and one day he disappeared. Shortly after that the possessions started happening. Not as often at first, maybe once in a few months, but as I explained, they've been happening almost once a week. The young girl here isn't Leon, sorry for the confusion."

The spirit behind this all was a dead child. Damn. "Leon, was it? That's a nice name," Ren told the child in front of him, hoping that Leon could hear him. This had to be stopped though. Leon couldn't be allowed to continue possessing other children like this.
He took a deep breath before continuing. "Leon, I want you to stop this," he told the spirit firmly. Chances are Leon couldn't hear him, but he had to try, for the child's sake. "You don't belong in this world anymore. Your daddy isn't on this side either. You need to go over, and you'll find your father there as well. Can you do that for me, Leon?"
He looked into the child's eyes, searching for some flicker of recognition, something that would assure him that the message had gone through. Otherwise, this whole debacle might end in an ugly way.

Alessia listened attentively to what Johanna was saying to explain this strange, strange situation that the Cathedral children were in. She wondered if the children played Stick like that before Leon's ghost started haunting people or if he brought that with them. What had happened to the poor boy... He was lost out there, with nobody to look after him... Where did he go? What happened? She felt sad. He probably wanted to play with his friends, but he was dead so he could only possess people... She wanted to know what happened to him. Why had he come back and not simply gone Beyond? He seemed to want to find his father. It was strange to think that a boy was hiding inside that girl, but it had to be... How did the children know it was Leon for that matter? So many questions, so few answers... They had to find out though, one way or another.

And Ren... He was still taking care of poor Leon, trying to put him to rest. That was good of him. They had to figure this out, for Leon, not just the other children. This had to end. His soul shouldn't have to suffer like this.

 

As each of the wizards introduced themselves, Gaius surprisingly paid attention after he got off the table. He nearly hadn't gotten off the table, noticing that Mizuki couldn't count properly. She had mentioned five people, but there were six, which meant that there was a good chance she wouldn't be able to count to two. However, he decided not to chance it, and instead focused on what was being said around him. Most things that were said didn't bother him in the slightest, although one thing in particular stood out. "The job never mentioned any spirits. I was going to beat up some dark guild members, not come along to mess around with spirits! What happened to that?" Gaius complained, clearly upset at missing an opportunity to get into a bit of a fight. He loved fighting, sometimes a little too much, so the idea of not being able to do one at all wasn't a pleasant one whatsoever.

The young mage sighed after his short outburst. Well, there wasn't much he could do about it. The description wasn't accurate, but he'd still made a commitment to helping the client out, and Gaius never went back on a promise, at least not when he could help it. "Well, at least we get to fight some spirits, so it's not a complete waste. You other guilds can go back home, we've got this covered. Once those spirits get a taste of my magic, they'll be leaving you this place alone, you'll see" Gaius said, cocky smirk stuck on his face as he did so.


As Skadi walked up the stairs inside the home, she couldn't help but notice the scar on Silvia. It didn't look as though it had happened recently, but in the location it was in..whatever caused it must have hurt. Was that the reason the girl seemed so paranoid, so timid? Skadi would have to ask her about it later. She made the decision not to try to force answers from her, or even ask repeatedly, but instead to leave the decision to Silvia about whether or not she would trust her enough. They didn't know each other very well, but being in a guild meant they were family, so she would have to see how it goes. The girl kept her staff held close to her after Caliborn's warning, but decided to ask the woman about things a little more. "And if you don't mind me asking, how long do you think the curse has been in effect for?" Skadi asked, adding onto Jack's question.​

 

"It's the same as getting rid of any other enemy really." He laughed. "Or so I imagine. I'm not a Wizard, so I frankly have no idea." He said honestly. "You have to find the spirit and get rid of it. That's all. Whatever means you use to do so, is perfectly fine with me."

"Now you should get going."




"Yup yup yup!" Blaze seemed to glow with excitement. "Let's go Sparkle, we have work to do!" Blaze shouted, speeding out of the room.

"Sigh, can't you keep your mouth shut earthling." She muttered to herself.




Rosy felt lucky to have Ra keeping this boy, Thomas in control.

"We should get started Rosy, let's get moving." She smiled, flipping her hair at Charlotte and winking before leaving the room as well.



"Do what you want, but I'm staying here." Leon crossed his arms.





Mikasa shot him a glare. "We have work to do here, Leon." She started, she looked even more disgusted then she did when they all got here. "So I suggest you get moving why we question Mr. Hemlock." She gave him an icy glare, and you could almost feel the room get colder.




"Who died made you Queen? Or King, I really can't tell." Leon snapped. "Are you going to let one of your team members speak like that to another Wizard, Mikasa?" Leon asked Mizuki.
