Jinx laughed dryly. "Why don't you listen to common sense, and your Prince." She spat. "I keep telling you, we are your friends, or will you risk otherwise just to feed your revenge? You're no better then us, if you do. But do what you want, the blood is on your hands. How in the world will you explain to Evanora, though, I wonder?" Jinx started to laugh some more. "If you're lucky she may banish you, like she did to Ezekiel. I hear that multidimensional desert is nice this time of year. Nice and hot. Just like hell."

Damian hesitated, then took away the knife. He knew these people were the shapeshifters but he had no way of proving it "Fine" he punched Jinx in the face just to keep her knocked out and went with the others "If we find out that they're not Sara and Amanda, and discover what they've done to those two, well, we'll see" Damian had an entirely different look about him than normal, there was a darkness lurking beneath. His eyes showed a fury unseen before, a hatred for those who made his life hell, an anger towards the universe itself. Then suddenly it was gone and replaced by the friendly face he usually had, as though nothing had happened "Come on, we need to stop Preminger!"

 

Quinn glared at Ander. He was sitting there, talking about Dark Guilds like he was the only one to ever have seen one. "Ander, do me a favor and shut the fuck up about dark guilds. I'm bringing you into battle and i'd rather you don't have a broken jaw for the fight, so stop talking before i decide that it's worth it." That kid was pissing him off with his know-it-all self-righteous attitude. He didn't know anything about them. Quinn had defeated guilds just like this one before...He just prayed he didn't have to do it again. A pang of guilt struck his heart, but he didn't change his expression. There was no time to worry about the past. Just like then, there was no time to worry about the future. All that matters is the present. "Machina Soul: Highwind." Quinn grabbed onto Jack and Ander, holding one under each arm. "Keep your jaw tight and don't move your tongue, or you're likely to bite it off." With that, he took off from the ground, accelerating as quickly as he could.​

Ezekiel watched as the woman shook and asked if they left him here to die. She'd apparently met them. That would support his theory that she was banished here, the same as him. He looked at her as she began to cry, and the tears seared her face. Did she have some weakness to water? "Please, stop." He stood, and offered his hand to the woman."The first thing we should do is get out of this desert. Please, lead me to this place." ​

Zwei used Strike Raid.

After Caliborn had made short work of the siren and the others had given him some form of praise before redirecting attention to the fallen Beucette. While Alisa didn't vocalize how she was impressed with how easily Caliborn he finished off the siren, she was still impressed by the feat.

 

Skadi bit her lip but remained quiet. She was still sure that the opponents they had just fought were not Sara and Amanda, but if she spoke up then they would be killed. Better to keep them captive until they could have a fair trial. Nodding in response to Damian, she then turned in the direction that Silvia had run off in. "Silvia, come back, we're about to go after Preminger!" she called out, before looking at Leo for guidance.

While Lucia had most certainly attacked the siren lady with as much gusto as she could possibly manage at the time, it was absolutely nothing in comparison to the S-Class member that was here. Lucia already knew that Caliborn was a strong one, as he had effortlessly fought a whale himself, however, seeing that display of power up close and personal was something entirely different. As he attacked at a speed she couldn't fully register, all she could do was let out an impressed whistle as he felled the siren in a single blow. Looking around to everyone else, Lucia slightly nodded at Mizuki's, albeit rude, comment. "Yeah, let's keep going. Be cautious though, guys. If this was just trial one, we don't what else this place has in store for us."

Okay, so a bunch of stuff happened. Like, for instance, Kageyama was found bleeding on the side of the road or something. After much deliberation, sort of, it was concluded that the dude was no longer any form of threat whatsoever and that they should just sort of take him along and beat the shit out of him if he was going to try any funny business, (which would more than likely not actually be funny.) Awesome. And then there was the discussion about flying to go fight Erigor. And so...She was going on a flying ride with her pilot Cassandra who would carry her and Caleb straight into the fray. She didn't quite know how this was going to work, but hey, the weirdness level for things that happened today that she wouldn't be surprised if Cassandra just turned into a fighter jet a flew off into the sky carrying them...wait that was Quinn and his crew. Okay, so that was settled and Aoki actually didn't do anything at all except going with the flow, (floating along that plot river, ya dig?) because basically everything was taken care of and this post is more or less superfluous to everything that was going on. Nice.

 

Conrad Heinrich Adelbrecht Carsten von Eisenstein II

For him personally the journey back to the Guild was a nice and quiet one, he did however catch what had initially transpired between Thea and Zephyros, he should have intervened and silently cursed himself for not doing so, then Vance stalked past him on his way to Thea. He was going to comfort her, he was certain of it, when he looked back at them and saw Vance hug the girl, he quickly faced back forwards again with a smile on his face. He didn't hear the words that were spoken, but seeing that gesture told him enough. He didn't forget about the first impression he had of Vance and made a mental note to keep an eye on the both of them. For the remainder of the Journey he kept to himself, as thoughts flew through his head, none regarding the outcome of the Contest.

As Cal warped everyone back to the Guild Hall, Conrad had gone inside initially but when he heard the music outside and saw Thea run outside he decided it was better to go and see what it was all about than to just sit around here waiting for something to happen. When he saw Edric standing there watching Zephyrine perform he walked up to the man, he had clearly been drinking, the smell gave it away. He had no objections to a good drink or a nice evening drinking, but wasn't it a little early for that? Oh well who was he to judge. He watched the performance, it wasn't exactly his style, but it wasn't a bad performance. He kept on watching, standing next to the S-class mage.

 

"Caliborn is supposed to make sure we stay safe, and that's what he was doing." She told Malkira. "A solid room... no door..." Calxiyn looked around. She tapped the walls, which were hard as marble.

"I think you're missing the general direction we must go in, young one." Balthazar chuckled. "The only way out of this room, is down. I hope you brought your swim trunks." Balthazar jumped into the pool of water, and swam down.

"Wait, Balthazar!" Calxiyn groaned. "We don't know what's down there, but we better follow him." Calxiyn jumped into the water as well.


There was another room, similar to the last, there was another pool, and the room was decorated by gold and silver. Different from the last room, though, there were holes in the walls.

Balthazar was on the other side, and moving towards the creature.

"Balthazar wait, what is that?" Calxiyn asked, pulling on his sleeve.

"It is an Ichthyocentaurs, or ikhthyokentauroi." Balthazar told the girl. "Ichthyocentaur comes from two different words, ichthyo- and centaur. Ichthyo- comes from the Greek word ιχθύς, or ikhthis, which means fish; and of course, centaur, or centaurus in Latin." Balthazar continued. "It isn't a "What" but it's a who." He poked the girl in the forehead knowingly. Suddenly, what seemed like a statue of the centaur, came to life.

"Excuse me, sir, we uh, wish to pass." Calxiyn went closer to the centaur.

"Answer the following riddles, before the time runs out. The water will rise, and your journey will come to an end. Only the wisest are to hold in their hands, the Hand Of Midas. First, answer me this, travelers, and win honestly."

"That makes sense. Ok, you're on."

"At night they come without being fetched, and by day they are lost without being stolen." The Centaur told them, and as soon as the riddle ended, water started to rise.

Deka​

Cassandra grabbed both wizards, and they were on their way. Quinn was in front of them, but even still, she wasn't trailing far behind.

"Erigor, halt at once!" Cassandra shouted, as she saw the Wizard up ahead.

"So you were able to break through my wind barrier. You little flies can be such an annoyance. You are in my way kids, so begone."

Erigor shot a blast of magical energy at Cassandra, who tried to hold her position, but dropped Caleb.

"Caleb!" Cassandra shouted, swooping down to grab him once again.

"The air never suited you, girl. Why don't you stay on the ground, unless you want to drop those Guild Members of yours."

Cassandra landed on the ground, placing down Aoki and Caleb. "I don't suppose either of you can fly, on your own."

"Do either of you even know how to use a magic mobile?" Kageyama asked them both, trying to get up. "Magical Vehicles are solely available for a Mage's use, and are powered by an SE-plug (Self-Energy plug), which is a small, special device that powers Magical Vehicles. It is a mechanism that wraps around the user's wrist, converting their Magic Power into fuel. Should the user require the vehicle in question to go faster, more Magic Power will be consumed. What you're looking at is a Magic Four Wheel Vehicle 8480. One of you need to drive, and the rest need to pile in."

"Well that's obvious, the answer's stars. They come at night, they go at day, but they don't get fetched or stolen. Now unless you're the sphinx with two more riddles for us, we'll be on our way"

 

It was at that moment that Leo had in the aforementioned carriage. It was clear that the fight had gone in their favor and none of them seemed to be all that injured. "Now we can get back to the castle faster." Leo had hoped that his reappearance and his words would draw some attention towards him, namely Damain's. While he doubted the real Sara and Amanda were there, he didn't agree with Damian's actions.

Zephyr listen to Kageyama's explanation of how the Magic Four Wheel Vehicle 8480 worked. "So basically someone with high magic should drive this then." The first two people that came to mind other than the S-Class's were Jack and Ander and they were currently flying after Erigor. All cause Cassandra had completely ignored everything that they had said other than Quinn can fly as well. "Do you think you have enough magic to catch up to Erigor without exhausting yourself?"

Alisa followed behind the others as they jumped into the water. On the other side they were greeted by an aquatic centaur. Alisa didn't know things like that existed and yet, here she was staring at one. The riddle that it had asked them had taken Alisa a few seconds to think of a possibility and upon hearing Malkira's answer that gave her reassure that her answer was still in the same ball park. "I say the answer is the moon. Much like the stars, it comes at night and leaves during the day." Hopefully grammar wouldn't be an issue here with her answer.

"Thanks Leo" Damian said, he still felt slightly awkward with the man after what had happened earlier. Nevertheless he got into the carriage, noting Silvia's anger. He felt like he should say something, but realised that would only make things worse. Turning to the Prince and Samantha he asked them "Is there anything we should know about Preminger? Is she a wizard?"

 

Octo​

Calxiyn crossed her arms. The water was barely at the soles of their shoes. "Well I guess that makes sense."

"You're all very bright, but the riddles will only get harder. There are as many as those who have failed here, if I think correctly."

"The answer are the moons and the stars." Calxiyn told the Ichthyocentaur.

"Very clever, but the next is not as easy. I never was, am always to be, No one ever saw me, nor ever will And yet I am the confidence of all To live and breathe on this terrestrial ball."

Deka ​

Johanna used Fairy Ray. It did 38 damage, but with Magic and Weapon it did 62.
Zwei used Strike Raid. It did 22 damage, but with Strength, Speed, and Weapon it did 51.

Together they did 113 damage. The Guard's defense reduced 4 damage.

"The only registered Wizard in the Kingdom that works for us, is Samantha." Zachary explained, getting into the carriage. He sat Samantha on his lap, in order to make room for the others. Leo and Dominique were already at the front driving, but even still there was only space for 4 people.

"I don't know if Preminger is ordinary or not. She didn't show talent for magic, but maybe she has something else up her sleeve." Samantha said, pushing up her glasses.

The group headed back to the Castle, but the man at the gate sneered at them.

"Excuse me, sir, this is the carriage of Princess Dominique, please, let us pass." Dominique asked him.

"The Princess Dominique has already left the Castle. The gates are closed for the Wedding, there is no sneaking in!"

Malkira yawned "The answer's tomorrow, give us a challenge please, I'm getting bored. If you're not going to give us anything challenging then you might as well just let us past"

 

Ennea​

Calxiyn was wide eyed at Malkira. He wasn't as stupid as he looked. That was until he insulted the being. Calxiyn bowed. "Pay no attention to him, it's been a long journey he's tired, doesn't even know what he's saying."

"The answer is 'Tomorrow', is that correct?"

"Indeed. Is anyone wiser than Malkira?"

Calxiyn turned to Malkira, and Balthazar laughed heartily.

"I wonder if that's a question, or if he's insulting you. Think about this one, we can't afford an incorrect answer."

Octo​

 

As Aoki had taken off alongside Cassandra, it seemed that all things were not to go as they were planned. As they had flown upward, they caught up with Erigor, but it had turned out then when you were dealing with a person whose entire specialty was the air, trying to half heartedly approach him wouldn't end completely well. As such, Caleb was knocked off of the S-Class guild member, and the group had to drop down to make sure that nothing bad happened to them yet. With Cassandra being the person to fly them up there and no longer being able to do so, she seemed to ask if either of them could fly. Now, were this any other mission, any other team, such a thing would not be possible. However, this was a mission of utmost importance, and thus! A mission of utmost coincidental convenience of which the likes of had never been seen prior to.

Summoning her keyblade, Aoki said, "well, I know this may be hard to believe, but. I sort of can." With that, she turned her keyblade into its glider form, and thus was a vessel that could take them through the sky. Turning back to Cassandra she said, "we can use this to go and take ourselves up in the skies again, but the problem still remains that he could just knock us away again. Do you have something that could protect us from that sort of a thing if I do take us up there?"

Lucia had been standing there, deep in thought, throughout the entire process of this question and answer thing. She was definitely not expecting to have to use her brain to solve riddles after having to have just fought some weird seductress demon thingy. However, while she kept wracking her brain for answers to these riddles, it seemed that Malkira was the one who was doing most of the answering here. And what a good thing for that as well, since he seemed to be answering all two of these questions with immense accuracy. However, the third question seemed to throw them for a bit of a loop. It was less a riddle and more so just a general question. However, Lucia then answered by saying, "well I'd think the all knowing Oracle in a staff is wiser than Malkira here, not to mention probably anyone who wouldn't try and taunt the gatekeeper that essentially controls whether they pass or not would be wiser as well. So I answer, yes!"

 

Octo​

The Water Guardian said nothing. The water rose to their ankles.

"I mean, if it's not yes, then obviously it's no... but why? Why would it be no? It's not like Malkira, no offense or anything, but you're not exactly anything special. So what is it. What is the reason?" Calxiyn said, pacing through the water.

Malkira was taken aback, firstly by how the hell the icthyocentaur knew his name, secondly by the question. Lucia answered that people were wiser than him, at which point the water began to rise. "Hmm... you know something don't you?" He splashed over to the centaur, glaring at him ""is anyone wiser than me" So we're looking for a specific person are we?" Malkira was getting angrier by the second, he hated delving into his past "Fine, I'll admit it, Serora was right all along. second-in-command of the Malkira warband, she knew we shouldn't have invaded that stupid city, she knew I should have gotten better security but nooooo. I had to be stupid and get myself KILLED, IS THAT THE ANSWER YOU WERE LOOKING FOR?" Malkira walked away slowly and sat in a corner "I failed her and now I'm going to fail our entire group, my cockiness always gets somebody killed... that probably wasn't even the right answer"

 

Skadi had gotten into the carriage quietly. The situation was tense, and she had to remain focused. When the guard refused entry though, the girl remained quiet no longer. There was no time for arguing with people; it would only make it less likely their other friends were alive. "Then I guess we'll just have to use the front door. Sorry!" the ice mage apologised, firing an icy blast that froze the guard solid. "Go, quickly! Before the magic wears off!" she called out to the others.​

"Oh hey, I think I understand now." Calxiyn spoke. "The answer was yes, but then it turned to no, because of what Malkira said." The water stopped flowing. "If we asked the Oracle, I think she would answer no. We thought it couldn't be true, and neither did Malkira. Because obviously we know he isn't the wisest man, or the wisest out of all of us. But the reason why he can be the wisest is because of the fact he realized he was wrong at times, like that time he said just now. This is the answer to the riddle. By realizing you make mistakes, you are a wise ruler, just like the one that the Hand of Midas needs. If you can't admit your wrong, and things need to be changed, how will you ever be able to help your people grow? By realizing your mistakes and your wrongfulness you can fix it, and that's what you need."

Balthazar looked at Calxiyn in some kind of amazement. "That's the reason why the riddles were so easy. I think I understand it now. Easy answers, to boost your ego enough that you think you could never be wrong, to make you think you are the best, when you simply aren't, and by realizing that you are better."

"When you say it like that, it just sounds confusing." Calxiyn crossed her arms. She then turned to Lucia, Alisa, Mizuki, and Malkira. "Well, is that it, do you think?"
