Nessa looked over at Thea. "Come watch if you must, but do not help them much. This is their own Destiny, and so they must chose and chose true. Cheating is bad karma, after all." Nessa explained to Thea. "Alright, Aias. Thank you. Both you and Thea come with me, the rest of you shall decide among yourselves who is to go next, be it by ways of battle or otherwise."

"Alisa! No offense but don't be rude. If he wanted to us to know what reasons he has for seeking... well.. whatever it is, then he would have said so." Calxiyn told Alisa. Her voice had the same happy cheer as always, but the truth was that she was trying really hard not to get on the bad side of this Guild. Even though Balthazar seemed very nice, to her, something was off. Something was in the air that just... reeked.

Balthazar didn't respond to the young Keyblade Master, but seemed to realize that she was incredibly nervous. At any rate, he responded to Lucia. "X is truly harmless. We have a very old friendship, it's just how he is. The rules of this Guild are set in stone, literately." Balthazar told her, gesturing to the hieroglyphics. "As you can see by the decoration of the walls, but there is one rule that I added: We never hurt the innocent."

"The Scepter is indeed magic. And you will see why, very soon. I will answer all of your questions." Balthazar told Beucette. He took them into a tunnel in the pyramid, and they arrived at a dead end. The wall was decorated with a huge turtle hieroglyphic. From Balthazar's chest, he took a necklace in his hand, which was a golden hand. He stuck it in the wall, and it opened. "My men don't even know about this place." The wall opened, to reveal another room. It was lit by ways of magic, once they entered.

"Wooow..." Calxiyn whispered.

"There is a treasure, the ultimate treasure." Balthazar told them, his voice filled with passion. "Compared to this, a Pharaoh's tomb is a worthless grave. The Magic Council's fortune nothing but lunch money. And we, are this close to it." He said, holding up his fingers to barely make a crack between them.

"It is on an island that is never in the same place twice. The Vanishing Isle."

"I can see how that might be... something sort of complicated. But what is this treasure?"

"The treasure, is the Hand of Midas." He unrolled what seemed to be a banner of some kind, which had the turtle and the golden hand on its back.

Calxiyn's eyes went wide. She had heard of this treasure before. "One of father's favorite stories..." Her voice trailed off. "But it's only a myth."

Balthazar's eyes filled with sudden rage. "It is NOT a myth girl!" He shouted at Calxiyn. He then moved forward, and in the room, he moved a curtain to reveal the sea. At the bottom of the sea, glistening with radiant sparkling gold, was a ship, covered in gold. His face was bright red, and he continued shouting. "There, it passed here once too, there is your proof! From stern to steam, every piece of rigging, every peg of board, ALL OF IT! GOLD. Touched by the Hand of Midas!"

Rho had watched as Aias had volunteered to go first in this whole contest thing and seeing as no one else seemed to be brimming with excitement to take their own turn, not at all because they weren't actually online at the moment, Rho decided that he'd go and volunteer next. Turning to the rest of the group, Rho simply said, "I suppose of our group I shall be going second?" With no real objections being made, not like they really could be, the turn order was thus decided.

The princess sure was confident in her decision to marry him er the Prince. Which is kinda why it would suck if the real Prince didn't marry her or wasn't anything like how he was acting, and there was no way that could happen. If that were to happen, then he would feel kinda bad for the princess. She was just doing what she thought was best for her kingdom. Yet there wasn't much that he could do about it at the moment. "I'll be sure to help you in leading the people." Probably not helping if he's staying things the real prince might not follow through with.

Right before the paper could be handed to Boreal, Gaius had taken it and eaten it. Trapping the paper within Charolette's body. "Well there goes that." Not much else that could be done, other than playing the waiting game. Which could be some time depending on well, variables. "So, anyone got a plan B?" Waiting was a valid plan b, but Veilen didn't know if anyone else would go for it.

"Well his second in command did try to kill us, we should be able to get an answer to his reasons." Alisa replied. As Balthazar explained more about the specter, he also pointed out how the rules for the guild were all around them. That was great because Alisa couldn't read the hieroglyphs on the wall at all. So either way she was going to have to have his word for it.

After walking into a pyramid Balthazar had unfurled a banner which revealed a golden hand. The hand of midas to be exact. Alisa was familiar with this story for it was one of the ones her father told her as a kid.
If the hand is real, then I might be able to pay off fathers debt. The hopeful thought arose alongside a smile as she looked at the image on the banner

In the center of the sky, above a local cemetery near wherever the contest was held, a hole opened up. This was a hole in The Wall, and from it a brute of a man fell. As he was falling down, Hunter remembered something very important about anime; physics didn't mean ****. And so, he moved the ends of his coat so that the wind recognised his sweet-ass coattails and carried him down to the cemetery in what was possibly one of the most unusual entrances to a graveyard anyone had ever seen.

And yet, the sheer awesomeness of it was so powerful that the earth itself was quite literally blown away by the epic. A twister of dust and dirty swirled around the cemetery, creating hell itself for any and all asthmatics in the nearby town. Once the dusty twisted had settled, Hunter could see that his target was in fact there like he had intended. There was a coffin, and within it lay a man who was father to one of the richest cripples to ever live. Nessa's father.

Opening the coffin with one hand, Hunter reached into his pocket and pulled out an ice cream. Not chocolate, not strawberry, but it was spearmint; the worst flavour of ice cream known to man. He grabbed the cone and simply stabbed it into the corpse's chest with such force the body looked as though it had flinched in pain. Hunter then kneeled down and leaned into the man's ear. "This is for what's about to happen to Rho and Aias, you massive ****twat. Revenge is sweet, and a dish best served cold, so extra death by ice cream it is" the man stated maliciously. He then looked at a watch on his wrist. "Damn, time flies when you're having fun. I guess I'd better get back to LVD before Xi- the 'hero' is released" Hunter said.

He looked down at the corpse at his feet. "I don't know your name, so I can't give you a nickname, which kinda sucks. So, ****twat it is. Cya later, ****twat. Hehe, ****twat" mister perfectly mature said as he opened up another hole and climbed in, going back to LVD.

He felt strange. Something was not right with the world. Maybe the moon just had Veilen being thrown at the moon or something just as bad. Kage said he had more peole coming, after a few minutes no one came. It was looking like kage was running out of people to throw at them. "No matter what you throw at us Kage you will not win." It was clear that these battle would not go on forever. Soon three new people came into the rom to fight them. it was getting tired of this. time for this to end. He took a look at Dark Guild Mimic and attacked it.

"I shall go after you then, Zephyros." Vance declared. He was slightly irritated that his owner was sleeping while the scenario started and so could not make him go first. No matter, he would deal with it! And he would totally win! It would take more than just going fourth or whatever to make him lose to these peasants! "But Zephyros, don't even think of touching me again, otherwise that hue of yours shall become darker than it already is."

"The Hand of Midas? Yeah, i've heard of that. My cousin told me about it. He said he saw it in a movie once. I didn't know it was canon here." She said, noting the existence of the Hand of Midas.Beucette gave an impressed whistle at the ship made of solid gold. "Man, even Ra's wardrobe doesn't have that much gold. Well, unless we're counting his underwear. Then maybe. Cal, You'd know. Does Ra wear golden underwear?" Beucette asked in a tone that made it difficult to tell whether or not it was a genuine question or if she was simply poking fun at the girl, given she was still under the impression they had done the deed back at the guild. In any case, she thought over what they knew. So, their mission was to collect the Hand of Midas for this guild. They were in possession of some kind of magical scepter that would lead them to this "vanishing isle" that was never in the same place twice. They had to be careful in who they hired to do this. No reward they could ever give them would be able to top the hand itself. It had to be someone they were sure wouldn't stab them in the back and try to steal it for themselves. Although, they may have prepared for that eventuality. Perhaps even set up a preemptive strike for once the hand was found, just to be safe. She couldn't very well warn the others of the possibility in front of Balthazar. Either she falsely accused him, or she was correct and they were attacked for figuring out the plan too quickly. She'd wait for an opportunity to slip the information to the others one by one, all while keeping an eye on this guild master. "So, if we're going after a legendary treasure that turns crap into gold, then I'm assuming this isn't going to be as easy as walk in and take pick it up, job done. But, if it were, where would the fun be? Let's get goin' already. You got the staff to tell us where it is."

It was a dark night in the town of Leith. The rain poured down against the dirt. The sound of hoofs stomping through the mud echoed as Orpheus rode toward his destination. There, in the distance, he saw it. A large stone building, completely unmarked. This was the Warden's prison. Dismounting Despair, the necromancer trudged up the path into the prison. Various cries for help could be heard. Begging Orpheus to help them. Some even asking him to just outright kill them, for fear that even if they escaped, The Warden would simply come for them again. There, in the back of the prison, a shadowy figure sat. Even from a seated position, one could tell that this man was absolutely massive. "Hello, Warden." Orpheus said, greeting the man.

"If you know who i am, then you know what this place is. To come here willingly, you're either brave, desperate, or stupid. So tell me, which is it?" The Warden questioned his guest as he stood to his full height, walking over to Orpheus. The necromancer had to look up to even make eye contact with him, as he was easily well over seven feet tall. "None of the above. You see, i am a liaison. I've come to offer you a position in our guild." "A guild?" The warden's eyes narrowed suspiciously. He inspected the man's face closer. "I know you. Orpheus Graveson. You were a member of Magus Ascension. Though, i heard that guild was destroyed." "Regrettably, yes. We suffered a defeat at the hands of Sapphire Eclipse, but we are forming a new dark guild." "I see, so it was stupid after all. Just to give you the benefit of the doubt, i'm going to give you about thirty seconds to give me a reason not to just take you to the rack right now. I hunt criminals." Orpheus' expression turned into a grin, and he gave a slight chuckle. "What defines a criminal? Killing? Theft? Kidnapping? Rape?" The necromancer raised his hand toward the sky. A haunting green light began to radiate from his palm as spectral chains spread from it, each one shooting in a different direction and latching onto the heart of one of the Warden's prisoners. "Wha-" "I have seen the souls of men, Warden. There are no innocents. We are all criminals. Myself, every one of these worthless wretches, even you are guilty of all the things that you charge these men with."The chains began to contract. Countless voices in unison cried out in an unimaginable pain. Their souls were being ripped from their bodies. When the ghosts emerged. They were twisted, demented looking shapes. As they were drawn into the necromancer, he pulled his shirt aside, revealing a cavity in his chest. A sickeningly dark green crystal was attached to his still beating heart, like a parasite. Ghostly wails could be heard echoing from within. It was apparent why as the souls of the prisoners were drawn into it. "You see, Warden. There is a monster in all of us."

Taylor passed out.

She didn't realize it happened until she was being healed by an angel. An angel who was speaking to her softly. An angel whose face was the first thing
Taylor saw when she woke up. Taylor thought she was an actual angel. "Am I in heaven?" she asked in wonder. She looked around, and saw the others standing around after having completed the battle. "Oh. Just kidding." She stood up, disappointed, and brushed the dust off of her pants. "Thanks for healing me, Thea." She gave the girl a smile and a kiss on the cheek before following everyone else to the contest hall area thing.

"I wanna go last," she said as Aias headed into the room. "Last is the one with the golden chest, after all." Taylor paused, rethinking, then grumbled quietly to herself. "Why does the chest have to be gold, it should be a prettier color. Like blue or green or something."

"The Caskets are, as follows: Made of the Purest Gold." She gestured to a Golden Casket.

"Made of the bluest of Sapphire." She gestured to the Sapphire Casket

"Check each Casket for their inscription, and make your choice." Nessa told Aias. She wasn't quite sure what to say to Aias, as they had not spoken. He was not bad looking, though, in her eyes.

Aias walked up to the gold casket first, and read the inscription on the casket.

“Who chooseth me shall gain what many men desire.”

Pondering the meaning of the inscription, Aias moved to the Sapphire casket

“Who chooseth me will gain the greatest honour”

"Honor hm..?" Aias muttered to himself, before moving to the next casket, the glass one.

The Glass seemed to have a crack in it. “Who chooseth me shall gain the same as I.”

This one seemed to be different than the others. At first it seemed to be an obvious bad choice, but there was surely more to this than something so obvious. Keeping the casket in mind, Aias moved to the bedrock casket

Bedrock casket has no message

No message? Strange. He may perhaps come to this one when he had seen all of them. He moved on to the diamond casket.

It looked to be that Diamond Casket wasn't the only thing this casket was made of, though all the other caskets were solid of their materials, this one also was made of a black material.

“Who chooseth me shall see what’s clear as crystal.”

There was only one casket left to be read. Finally, he moved on to the clay casket

The Clay casket didn't seem to be a casket at all, but a pot:
“Who chooseth me shall gain what he deserve.”

"Pick the dimond one. They are Diamonds. You can't go wrong with Diamonds."

Aias pondered the meanings of all the messages. First he walked back to the gold casket. Initially, this seemed the most obvious of the choices. “Who chooseth me shall gain what many men desire.” He said aloud. Nessa seemed to have a fondness of gold and black. This casket fit the color scheme. Yet, he thought back to the events of before. They had battled the suitors for their harsh rejection of the girl. If they had all done so, then surely they had not been the first. This was not the right choice.

Next, he approached the Sapphire casket once more. “Who chooseth me will gain the greatest honour” He read. Certainly it would be an honor to be wed to this girl, but it seemed unlikely, for similar reasons to the gold casket.

Moving on, he approached the Glass casket. “Who chooseth me shall gain the same as I.” He mused over the meaning of the words. The casket had a crack in it. There was a possibility it had simply been damaged by accident in the placement of it, but if that had been the case, they would have simply replaced it. No. The crack was intentional. This casket seemed a dangerous choice. He moved onward to the next casket. The bedrock.

It contained no message to be read. This was by far the strangest of the caskets. It seemed very plain, decorated with a few carvings, but not much more. She did not seem to be a woman of few words. It was unlikely this was the casket.

Next came the Diamond Casket.
"Who chooseth me shall see what's clear as crystal." This was the casket that the young girl had decided he should pick. Saying that he 'couldn't go wrong with diamonds.' It was a simple reasoning. Yet, there was something off-putting about the message. This trial was certainly not meant to be clear. No...This wasn't likely to be the right one.

He approached the final casket. The clay pot.
"Who chooseth me shall gain what he deserves." This one he read out in a tone that sounded more like he was stating a fact that reading a line. Shall gain what he deserves...If one could only looked at something, and see nothing but the surface, the initial appearance, then they weren't worthy to look upon it. He'd said so himself. If one looked at Nessa in this way, they would see nothing but a wheelchair. If they looked at this casket, they would see nothing but simple clay. However, if one could see past the surface...

"This is the casket." Aias said, declaring his choice as the clay casket.

Nessa tried kept a neutral face as Aias made his choice. Many thoughts went through her mind, but she had to push them out. She rolled forward, opening the casket with a clay key. "There, open it; and if my form lie there, then I am yours." Nessa told him simply, rolling back to the place where she was before.

Aias placed his hands on the lid, slowly opening the lid. It was time to see if he had made the proper choice.

Inside of it, was not a poetic message, not like the others would have been, but wrapped inside a piece of paper, was a brick.

"You know what clay is made of? Brick
Are you saying my daughter’s stupid? Like a Brick Wall?
That you’re talking to a Brick?
Get out!"

Nessa looked toward him. "Well, read it out loud, what is inside?" Nessa had no idea what was inside of the caskets herself, and so her heart pounded quickly, and she was almost sweating in cold.

Aias read the message out in a neutral tone.

"It seems I have chosen incorrectly. My logic is evidently flawed, as far as your father is concerned. I will take my leave, then."

His tone and expression remained stoic, though he did give a clearly disappointed sigh. He had honestly hoped that there had been some truth to his thoughts, but evidently not. He bowed to the girl, and turned away.

"Maybe you should have listened to me." Thea said with a sly smirk.

[IMG] [IMG]
Rho walked in, as Aias walked out.

"Aias didn't listen to me. You should pick the diamond one. I am probably right."

Rho looked intently at each and every one of these caskets that were shown to him. Each being made of something very different and each probably containing their own different message behind them. He wasn't entirely sure which would be the right one without further inspection, however, he did raise an eyebrow at what Thea had said. As it had turned out, Aias had ended up picking the wrong one, which was most likely evident anyway as the contest was still going on.

Regardless, Rho went up to examine the golden casket first to see if there was anything important about it first.

“Who chooseth me shall gain what many men desire.”

Reading over the inscription, Rho could only find it to be a fitting one given that the casket was made of gold. A universal symbol of wealth and status. Regardless, he'd come to a conclusion about it after inspecting the others. And so, he went to go look at the sapphire one next.

“Who chooseth me will gain the greatest honour”

Well, that was certainly different. Blue being an often regal color, it would make some degree of sense that it would be associated with some form of great honor. Regardless, Rho still had a few others to examine, and thus went onto the one made of glass.

The Glass seemed to have a crack in it.

“Who chooseth me shall gain the same as I.”

Well, that was certainly forboding. Given that the glass was damaged, it was most likely indicative of the current status of the girl herself. Despite that, he went on to go and look at the bedrock one next.

Bedrock casket has no message

Well, this was about as ominus as the last one, if only for the fact that there was nothing remarkable about it in the slightest. While that seemed to pique his interest, there was still two more to examine, and thus he went on to the oh so coveted by Thea casket, the diamond one.

It looked to be that Diamond Casket wasn't the only thing this casket was made of, though all the other caskets were solid of their materials, this one also was made of a black material.

“Who chooseth me shall see what’s clear as crystal.”

Seeing as the only thing interesting about the chest was the design itself, Rho had simply decided to go on to look at the last of them. The clay one.

The Clay casket didn't seem to be a casket at all, but a pot: “Who chooseth me shall gain what he deserve.”

Rho had read all of the caskets and thus started to ponder what they all meant. This was not a guessing game that could be easily decided as to what each of the caskets truly represent and Rho needed to actually go into an indepth analysis of each of them.

The first one, being the gold one, seemed to be like an obvious choice. Given how Nessa had seemed to be lavished in the color of gold, it clearly could be indicative of her, not to mention it was described as what many men desire. However, in that, many men don't desire marriage for the sake of marriage. They desire it simply for the sake of what benefits they can yield from it. Thus he opted out of that one.

The next of them was the sapphire one. While it would most certainly be a great honor to achieve such a royal hand marriage, he wasn't entirely sure if it was quite meant to be taken like that. However, when he was to be wedding someone like this, if either party were to recieve honor in doing so it would be almost condescending to the other.

Afterwards it had seemed that the next of them to ponder over was the glass one. This one seemed to be a very likely contender in this contest of caskets. It had the breaking on it to represent the lack of use that Nessa's legs had, and to love someone and be in marriage with them, they had to share the pain and burdens that were placed on each other, thus gaining the same as her.

Afterwards was the blank bedrock casket. Rho looked past that to avert his attention to the diamond one. It had certainly seemed to be different, and to see what was clear as crystal made it almost seem like an obvious choice. After all, it was practically telling you that it was the answer.

Regardless, Rho went on to examine the final one. The clay pot as it were, that seemed completely plain and almost out of place here. However, it had said that he would gain what he deserved. And Rho, or any suitor as it may be, was not deserving of anything. They were the ones who were at the mercy of this contest, and there was nothing honorable nor deserving about it. As such Rho had eliminated that one from his list as well.

As it were, compared to a noble man's daughter, Rho was nothing. When it came to nobility, nothing could surpass the heir in terms of worth. And if all of these were referring to specifically the suitors and not the daughter herself, then there was only one choice Rho had to pick. Though his decision was not one he was absolutely confident in, he had strode over to the bedrock casket and went to open it.

Nessa tried kept a neutral face as Rho made his choice, like she had before. Her herself had no idea what was in the caskets. She rolled forward, opening the casket with a bedrock key. "There, open it; and if my form lie there, then I am yours." Nessa told him simply, rolling back to the place where she was before.

As Nessa had come over to unlock it, Rho went to see the contents that lie within.

A piece of paper was tied around a rock, and it read:
You choose a case without a message?
Your head must be harder than the deep bedrock
And so for that, we say goodbye
We hope you grow a brain, made like mine

"Well, read it to me, what is inside of what you have chosen?"

Nessa asked him. Her palms were sweaty, and she wiped her hands on her dress. With each Casket she was getting more distressed

Reading the contents of the paper, Rho simply nonchalantly shrugged as he had read back the contents of the paper and said,
"Well, as it would appear I am not the winner in this contest. I bid you farewell madam."

"As I said you should have listened."

Zephyros walked in as soon as Rho had left, and he looked at each casket intently. Zephyros noticed first, that the girl said nothing, but was staring oddly.

"The first, of gold, who this inscription bears, 'Who chooseth me shall gain what many men desire;'
The second, Sapphire, which this promise carries,
“Who chooseth me will gain the greatest honour”
This third, cracked glass, with warning all as blunt,
“Who chooseth me shall gain the same as I.”
Forth, made of the hard bedrock, has no message to give
Fifth, Diamond, sparkling bright and blue

“Who chooseth me shall see what’s clear as crystal.”
and the sixth, not even a casket but clay
“Who chooseth me shall gain what he deserve.”
Some god direct my judgment! Let me see;
I will survey the inscriptions back again.

What says this Clay casket?

“Who chooseth me shall gain what he deserve.”
As much as he deserves! Pause there, And weigh thy value with an even hand: If thou be'st rated by thy estimation, thou dost deserve enough; and yet enough may not extend so far as to the lady: And yet to be afeard of my deserving were but a weak disabling of myself. As much as I deserve! Why, that's the lady: I don't, in birth deserve her, and or in fortunes, but in graces and in qualities of breeding; but more than these, in love I do deserve. What if I stray'd no further, but chose here?" Zephyros pondered. Zephyros spoke loudly, and confidently, but yet. "Moving on, to see what is 'clear as crystal', and yet, Diamond is no crystal at all. And this casket is not pure diamond, but holds coal. Anyone who works for coal during the winter, could see such. And yet something about it seems almost perfect. A wedding ring of diamond for a beautiful lady, but yet..." Zephyros moved to bedrock. "It is not worth my time, you see, bedrock doesn't capture Nessa's beauty, so why would her portrait be here?"

“Who chooseth me shall gain the same as I.”

"
'The same as I'. Someone glass... transparent, but yet, the glass is not. It is frosted. It looks to be honest, but instead, rather, it hides dark secrets. Much like the many suitors that have come here today. No, it is not glass, for you should not be in a casket in which is dishonest, and hides secrets."

“Who chooseth me will gain the greatest honour”

"An honour? No, marrying Nessa, if chosen correctly, is no honour, but a right."

"And suddenly we are back to here. Let's see once more this saying graved in gold.
'Who chooseth me shall gain what many men desire.'
Why, that's the lady; all the world desires her; from the four corners of Fiore they've come, Wizrals and Ordinara, the rich and the poor. They come to kiss this shrine, this mortal-breathing saint: From the Sian deserts and the vastly wilds, of the wide sea and guilds alike, for everyone comes to view fair Nessa Rose: The watery kingdom, whose ambitious head spits in the face of heavens, is no bar to stop the foreign spirits, but they come. As over a brook, to see the fair Nessa. One of these six contains her? All of them being ten times undervalued to tried gold? Never so rich a gem was set in worse than gold. They have it here, gold coins that I dance for on the streets, and that have a figure of an anglel, stamped in gold, but that's inscupl'd upon, meanwhile here an angel in a golden bed, lies all within." Zephyros turned to Nessa. "Please, give me the key: Here do I choose, and thrive I as I may."

"There, open it; and if my form lie there, then I am yours." Nessa told him bitterly, rolling back to where she had been before.

"****." Zephyros swore. "What have we here? A curse?! A carrion death, within whose empty eye, there is a written scroll. I'll read the writing to you, Nessa." Zephyros said.

"All that glitters is not gold;
Often have you heard that told:
Many a man his life hath sold
But my outside to behold:
Gilded tombs do worms enfold.
Had you been as wise as bold,
Young in limbs, in judgment old,
Your answer had not been inscroll'd:
Fare you well; your suit is cold."

"Cold... yes... cold indeed. And I have lost. Then, farewell, and I suppose back to the streets I must be welcomed. Nessa, adieu, I have too grieved a heart to take a tedious leave: Thus, I will part nothing but a loser."

"A gentle riddance. Let all of his complexion choose me so."

[IMG][IMG]
As soon as Zephyros left, Vance entered.

"Oh it is Vance. Maybe he will listen, he is nice." Thea said to herself before adressing Vance. "My lord, if I may make a suggestion based on my personal opinion. You should try the Diamond one."

Vance looked at the room. There they were, the boxes that required checking. He nodded at Nessa's instructions. He only had to pick from several boxes. "This seems perfectly fair. I suppose I'd better check the inscriptions on these boxes." First things first, the Golden Casket.

“Who chooseth me shall gain what many men desire.”

Interesting. Many men seem to desire Nessa, so that makes sense, although that seems to easy. Does the golden case come across as too arrogant? Vance considered this and then moved along to the Sapphire box.

“Who chooseth me will gain the greatest honour”

Honour, that's really helpful in this instance. He folded his arms and considered this for a couple of moments, and moved on to Bedrock. How they managed to get Bedrock in there, he didn't know, but that wasn't important.

Bedrock casket has no message

Well that's terribly useful. It was at that point that he realised that there was a glass casket. He must have missed it somehow. Moving back along to the one he missed, he peered at the Glass casket.

The Glass seemed to have a crack in it. “Who chooseth me shall gain the same as I.”

"So, whoever chooses this gets broken. Great. That sounds like the exact wrong one to pick." Vance moved across to check the Diamond one that Thea recommended to him. Perhaps she was right. It was perhaps worth considered, although he had to decide on the message.

It looked to be that Diamond Casket wasn't the only thing this casket was made of, though all the other caskets were solid of their materials, this one also was made of a black material. “Who chooseth me shall see what’s clear as crystal.”

"I have no need of seeing clear as crystal. My perception is absolutely fine, I need none of these deceptions of perception." Vance put his arms behind his back. But, Thea was sure... maybe it was worth a try. He'd take a look at the last one and then decide.

The Clay casket didn't seem to be a casket at all, but a pot: “Who chooseth me shall gain what he deserve.”

Vance sighed. This one gave no hints at all. And so, it came down to this. Caskets, their obscure messages and the only lead he had, was the idea of one little girl as to what she thought the right one was. He couldn't stand there forever, he'd have to choose.

"Nessa... I apologise for if I should fail here. I hope that I succeed here. It would be good... To win." Vance said, honestly.

Nessa looked to Vance hopefully. She had no idea herself where the portrait of herself was. She was getting anxious now. No one had picked right. She really wanted Vance to win, but she couldn't forsake the rules. "I want that too, my lord Vance." Her voice was nervous and it quivered

Vance clenched his fist, the tension starting to get to him. There was no shame in that here. He was in the right company, he could trust Thea. He turned all the cogs in his brain, trying to figure out the answer to this puzzle. If he were a father... If he were a father... Wait... Yes. Perhaps that was it. He looked at Thea.

"Thea, I appreciate your advice. However... I have my own theory. I put my faith in myself..." He said uncertainly. Then, Vance Dorian stood up straight and his voice rang clear throughout. "For a father, there is only one casket possible. For you see, a daughter's hand is the greatest honour that a man may receive! Therefore, I, Vance Dorian select the Sapphire Casket!" Vance swung out his right arm dramatically and held out his hand to receive the key to the lock of the casket.

Nessa tried kept calm as Vance made his choice. She felt like she was going to vomit. She rolled forward, opening the casket with the Sapphire Key.
"There, open it; and if my form lie there, then I am yours." Nessa told him simply, rolling back to the place where she was before.

Vance received the key with grace. He resisted the urge to shake from the tension of the moment. Faith, Vance, faith. You are a Dorian. A nobleman of the highest esteem. You must not, no, will not falter! Taking a deep breath, Vance placed the key in the lock, twisted it and flung the casket open to see the result of his gambit.

Inside of the casket, was a Sapphire Gem, and a roll of paper inside of it. It reads
Honourable many men not be—
So you must have thought to chooseth me
But if thou must gain honour
and prove you have that honour,
You must lack it
Then thou is lying to thy self
Thinking they are deserving
Of the most lovest flower the world has seen
No, not you without honor
So leave this place, goodbye, adude

"Well? Are you to be my husband Vance?" Nessa asked him, her heart pounding.

Vance stepped back, slowly. His face, and his heart sank. Vance walked backwards and leaned against the wall. He looked down, clenching his fist.

"I am sorry, Nessa." Vance said, regretfully. "It seems that it is not to be. Farewell, may this be favourable for you. Perhaps we shall meet again, in some other place, some other happier time with your new husband. It seems however, that it is not to be I." With that, Vance turned on his heel and walked away. Before he left, he turned to look at Thea.

"It seems I should have put my faith in you." He looked disappointed, but before he left he hardened his features and walked away. Those hyenas outside shall not see this weakness of mine. Vance walked away, regretting that he even tried. It was a fool idea anyway. To base a marriage off some sort of competition. And, I don't believe it is a negotiable issue. I won't win this one, it seems.

Nessa felt like as if she were going to cry. She had such high hopes for Vance, and yet...

[IMG][IMG]

"Do you want to hear my guess or will you be like the others and not listen to me?" Thea asked from the side of the room with a pout

"I'd like to hear what you have to say."

"Well I think it is the Diamond one. You can never go wrong with diamonds." Thea said proudly

"Hmmmm, you do raise a good point there. Diamonds are forever as they say and they say the same thing about love, though it would seem very straight forward. You know what? Thea, I'll follow your advice, I'll go for the diamond one" Conrad walked over to the Diamond casket to show he made his choice

"You aren't even going to read the inscriptions?" Thea asked suddenly caught off guard by the fact someone simply listened and didn't chose their own way

Conrad reads the inscription on the diamond case

Upon further investigation, it looked to be that Diamond Casket wasn't the only thing this casket was made of, though all the other caskets were solid of their materials, this one also was made of a black material. “Who chooseth me shall see what’s clear as crystal.”

He thought for a moment, would it be too rash to make a decision right now? Yes, there was probabl a trick to this so he decided to check the golden casket next, looking for inscriptions

“Who chooseth me shall gain what many men desire.”

"What many men desire..." He mumbled to himself, well the other nobles walked away upon learning she couldn't walk, so logically this wasn't the one, one down, 5 left. He checked the Sapphire casket next

“Who chooseth me will gain the greatest honour”

The greatest honour... marrying Lady Nessa was a great honour but the greatest? That was purely subjective. And if this contest held any logic then there was no room for subjectivity. He mentally crossed it of the list and moved on to the glass one

The Glass seemed to have a crack in it. “Who chooseth me shall gain the same as I.”

The same as I? This obviously refered to the crack in it, meaning harm to oneself alternatively it could be interpreted as receiving Lady Nessa since she spoke what she thought and the crack in it would symbolize the lady herself. He didn't cross this one off just yet and moved on to the bedrock one.

Bedrock has no message

No message at all, bedrock, the foundation, but the foundation of what? A new future? He was uncertain, if this was unique then it just might be this one but he was uncertain, he had atleast narrowed down the choice already by removing two straight forward ones all that was left was the clay one, he walked over to check for an inscription

The Clay casket didn't seem to be a casket at all, but a pot: “Who chooseth me shall gain what he deserve.”

Gain what they deserve.... judgement, from what he had heard Lady Nessa was a bit judgemental which would mean she would probably exact some form of her judgement of the person on them. Now came the hard part, choosing from these 4 if his assumptions were correct leaving 25% chance of succes... going over the conclussions he drew he also dropped the clay and the glass one. Leaving just the diamond and bedrock ones. He paced around the two thinking about which one to pick. Thea thought it was the diamond one. He knew diamonds were often present upon rings that were used to propose to women, bedrock however was a dependable foundation on which you built something and a relation was something that needed to be built. This was a hard choice.... He looked one last time to see if there was a detail he missed

There are no other details

"Here goes nothing...." He mumbled to himself going for the diamond case

Nessa took a deep breath. This was a 50/50 chance. She rolled forward, opening the casket with the Diamond Key. "There, open it; and if my form lie there, then I am yours." Nessa told him simply, rolling back to the place where she was before

He took the key in his left hand and opened the casket, praying to the Mother he did not just sign his own death warrant.

Inside a piece of coal there was a piece of paper
And it reads: ‘The same as I’ you say
All diamonds were as ugly as rock and coal
Almost the same as Nessas soul
Diamond on the outside, and coal with in
Much like this box
I am in
You pick for the outside but not what’s within
For if you did, you would win.
So go away
And remember your ‘diamond’ for another day.

"Sorry..." Thea said queitly. Her advice was wrong. But now she knew without a doubt which box it was

"What does it say?" Nessa asked hopefully. She had no idea herself, but Theas whisper worried her.

"It's alright, Thea, I made the choice myself, it's not your fault." He said, he took the piece of paper and read out loud what it had said.

Nessa sighed heavily.

"Bring in the girl." She said simply, looking at Conrad as well as Thea. Conrad walked out of the room, having hung his head in sadness, atleast it wasn't the end of the world.

[IMG][IMG]

Nessa looked horribly distressed everyone so far had failed, and Taylor was her last hope, even if she were a girl. These were the only people brave enough to take the Contest, and yet, now... she was afraid she would never get the chance. Her heart was already broken by Vance now.

"You should try the diamond one. You can't go wrong with diamonds " Thea said quite timidly.

"Hmm..." Taylor looked at the chest. "Well, even though last is the one with the golden chest, I'm gonna choose the blue Sapphire one."

Without looking at any other chest, at any other inscription, at anything at all, Taylor had made her choice. Nessa's last hope was doomed.

"And why is that?" She asked, being unable to control herself.

"It's pretty."

Nessa was incredibly upset at this development, and read the exact same thing she Vance had read out to her, now to Taylor. When it was over, Nessa wheeled out of the room, and looked at the many wizards.

"It seems like you've all were unsuccessful. Remember the rules. You are not to wed another women, or man, in Taylor's case. You are not to tell anyone of the casket you chose, and you will leave here... leave here now." Nessa was now back on her throne, and a curtain covered her figure, as well as her tear stained face. Her voice was rough, and her voice filled with agony.

From another voice, there seemed to be some kind of chanting that filled the room.

"Ake izinqumo zabo ungiqalekisele bona,
ukuletha ubumnyama
kusukela bele
izidalwa dark
avele ke
ukuhambisa abulale
avele
ubumnyama."

"What is that!? What are you doing? Wizrals! Are you trying to place a curse!?" Nessa screamed. Darkness started to take over the room, and the chanting got louder.

"What is that chanting, who's doing it?" Zephyros looked to around to see the other Guild Mates. "How do we know you're not cursing us?" Zephyros spat at Nessa.

Now that everything had calmed down, Skadi was able to focus more. They needed some way to track the prince, something of his. Suddenly Skadi noticed a black choker on the ground. While she seriously doubted the prince was into things like that, since it probably wasn't damian's there was a good chance it was the captor's. "Give this a try Leo" Skadi said.

Thea felt bad when the case that she was advising didn't turn out, but she could see the logic behind the case that it actually was. "Aw that is so-" Thea was cut off by chanting. The girl who just a moment before was bubbly and happy, ready to comment on the poeticness of the casket it was, and give Vance a hug to cheer him up, suddenly fell very silent. A look of fear crossed over Thea's face as she took a step closer to Nessa, wanting to feel safe just as much as she wanted to protect Nessa from whatever the chanting was. As darkness began to surround them Thea grew more scared, the small girl was terrified of the dark.

A small ball of fire began to glow in Thea's hand, providing a little extra light for them. Zephyros was trying to blame the curse on Nessa as the chanting continued but Thea could see it wasn't her.
"NO! Nessa isn't doing this. Can't you hear it isn't her voice. Besides, she likes Vance, why would she place a curse on him? That is no good at all! Leave her alone." Thea shouted at Zephyros before looking around the room for the person chanting. "Whoever is doing that stop it! I don't like it. It is scaring me and that is not nice. What is going on?!" Thea shouted into the darkness. At this moment she had felt the most like a child that she had in a long time, but it was comforting. She was almost waiting for her mother to walk in the room and quiet her from the nightmare she was having and put her back to bed, like she used to four years ago.

Leo looked at the choker that Skadi had handed him. It probably belong to a female and since Silvia wasn't wearing one at any point, it had to have belong to someone else that was here. Probably the ones who kidnapped the prince. He took the choker in his hand and gave it a quick sniff. It took a little while, but he did get a clear smell of the scent. It was different than one that had brought them here and in fact it probably lead to a different place. "Whoever this choker belongs to was definitely here, as for where that person is now I should be able to find them." Leo said.

For the sake of making Cal happy, let's just say that they arrived at the mine.

"If you're not going to surrender then get down here and accept you defeat like a man. Everyone you've called in to fight us has been defeated and killed by Cassandra, but that's a different story. The same will probably happen to this Karacka person. So why not get your beating out of the way." Zephyr said. After this many repeated losses by the members of his guild, its surprising he hadn't tried to make a run for it while they were preoccupied with fighting. That might've worked for a short period of time, but he clearly wanted to stay and wait for someone to beat them.

"Now to dispose of the bodies, and call the Master...." Minx started to laugh loudly once more, carrying the corpses of Amanda and Sara away.

"This is going to be the start of something greater, I can feel it." Dominique gave Zwei a small smile, before they headed back into the castle.

Kingdom of Elamos: The Mines

[IMG][IMG][IMG]
Deep in the depths of the mine, the group found Zachary, as well as Samantha, both tied up. Suddenly, the door of this room in the mine, shut.

"Leo, Silvia, Skadi! You've come to save us! And Preminger too. I'm so grateful. I was kidnapped by two girls, we can find them-"

"Save you? Oh Prince, you're so niave, aren't you?" Preminger started to laugh.

"She's not here to help us Zackary, she's here to kill us."

"How sad it will be when they've found out you've died. All of you, to be exact." Preminger squeezed Zackary's cheek, before roughly letting him go.

"They'll never give up looking for the Prince! And what about the Magic Council, they will look for these wizards!" Samantha shouted.

"Not when they find out these Wizards were part of a plan that was, treasonous, and simply... well... illegal. I think they will, especially when I show the King Zachary's garments." Preminger explained, she turned to the Wizards. "I wouldn't try using your magic here, if I were you. The Kingdom enchanted this mine, specifically to keep out Dark Guilds who might seal their gold. Lets just say you'll be... shocked... if you try." Preminger started laughing again. "Oh, that IS funny."

Preminger turned around, sealing the door, and locking it tight.

"Aerora!" Samantha yelled, directing the spell at the door to unlock it. Suddenly, a bolt of lightning came down from seemingly no where, and zapped her. Samantha collapsed, Zachary catching her in his arms.

"Samantha, please... you're going to get hurt. That could have killed you... please." Zachary pleaded. That's when the mine started to shake, and rocks fell from the ceiling. Zachary shielded Samantha, who was wounded heavily by that lightning.

"Minx and Jinx... I think those are the names of those Wizards. They're destroying the mine. What do we do?" Samantha coughed. Suddenly, as if by Magic, it was almost like a window appeared in the room. It was showing them something. "The... the castle?" Samantha clasped onto Zachary's shoulder, looking to see what was going on.

Kingdom of Elamos

[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Back inside of the castle, The King, Johanna, Dominique and Zwei, were all standing in the throne room.

"Everything seems to be in order, thank you, Princess Dominique." The Princess bowed. "The Kingdoms will be officially joined after the wedding tomorrow. Are you ready, my boy?"

"For, my husband to be." Dominique presented Zwei with a box, and she opened it to reveal a large, blue ring. "It's been handed down my family for generations, and now it is yours." Dominique gave a small smile. She took it, and put it on Zwei's finger. That's when Preminger burst through the door.

"Arrest them!" Preminger shouted. The guards rushed towards Johanna and Zwei.

"Preminger, what is the meaning of this!?" The King's voice boomed.

"Release the Prince, and his protecter!" Dominique demanded.

"He's a fake, a common pauper!" Preminger shouted, pointing at Zwei. Dominique looked at him, a questioning look on her face.

"Preminger, are you telling me I don't know my own son?" The King asked, coming down from his throne.

"I only just discovered it myself your majesty. I was on my way out of town to find the truth, and I found it. Have you wondered why we haven't seen Samantha lately, or those two girls that Wizard Johanna brought with her?" Preminger asked The King, her arms gesturing to the castle as a whole.

"The others are with their S-Class, they're with a search party." The King crossed his arms.

"Yes but there were two more. Amanda, and Sara, if I recall. These Wizards were found out to be henchmen of Dark Wizards Minx and Jinx, who were working for Samantha and requested she hired more Wizards, THOSE WIZARDS." She pointed at Johanna. "Samantha had conspired with these wizards, and this fake, this imposter."

Preminger's face was red, and she was fuming. "Together they took the Prince and hid him in a cabin in the woods, guarded by Jinx and Minx. Sara and Amanda tried to follow me as well, to make sure I didn't ruin their plans. But the S-Class and the other girls left in order to take the prince to the royal mines... so Samantha could blackmail the Prince into marrying her and running away with her! But when that didn't work, they chose for HIM to be King, marry Princess Dominique and with Satan's power, let the Wizards take over this Kingdom." Preminger spat.

"What?" Johanna was taken aback. "Sara and Amanda would have never done that. Neither would we! None of what Preminger is saying is true!" She struggled against the guards. "They came after you! You're the one who was behind all this!" Johanna pointed to Preminger.

"What proof do you have of any of this-this ridiculous story!" Dominique challenged him, now incredibly angry.

"Once I discovered this treachery, I tried to stop them, but Sara and Amanda have disappeared. You can look through all the corners of this Kingdom, they have fled. Why else would they run if they weren't guilty? They knew they would be captured when I saw them following me, to make sure I didn't ruin their plot." Preminger told them dramatically. "When I heard the Prince was in the mines, I tried to stop the Wizards, Leo, Silvia, Skadi, and even a male I do not know, from killing the Prince by collapsing the mine with their magic, but they were ready to die, trying to kill me as well so Johanna and the fake could take over the Kingdom. They did a group suicide as the final sacrifice, the Prince, included-"

Johanna mouth hung open, tears staining her face and her eyes going wide. She was shaking uncontrollably. "No... no..." Johanna muttered to herself. "Silvia... Skadi... Leo... oh Leo..." Her voice trailed off. "No!" Johanna cried out, punching one of the guards in the face. "It can't be true! They would never-"

"They sabotaged the mine!" Preminger shouted at Johanna, which made her cry even more present and louder. Preminger then turned back at the Prince, who was pale white. "I'm afraid this is all that I found in the rumble." Preminger took out a book from her coat. It was Samantha's book of spells.

"It's Samantha's book of evil, dark, spells. And beside it, I found this." Preminger took out something else, Prince Zachary's cape, as well as his crown.

"No!" The King was in shock, and he looked deathly ill. "It cannot be..."

"Check his shoulder! You will see no signs of a royal birthmark, I assure you." Preminger crossed her arms. The guards cut through Zwei's Princely jacket, to show his shoulder, and dragged him to the King.

The King looked Zwei in the eye desperately, his skin pale and his eyes filled with tears. He looked at Zwei's shoulder.

"It's true!" The King backed up, falling, only to be caught by his servants.

"I don't believe it..." Dominique's voice trailed off, walking toward Zwei, and moving a piece of hair from his face. her hand shaky. Dominique's eyes were filled with tears, and her eyes were puffy and red already. "This can't be right, it just... it can't be." Dominique yelled to Preminger.

Skadi was horrified. Not only was Preminger evil (that wasn't a surprise though, she'd been an outright ***** earlier), but the others were captured, Amanda and Sara were nowhere to be found, Samantha was seriously injured after god lightning had hit her, and on top of all that...damn that preminger could move. Barely a minute had passed since she'd left and she was at the castle.

"PREMINGER YOU EVIL ***** YOU GET YOUR ASS BACK HERE SO I CAN TEAR YOU A NEW ONE! HOW DARE YOU LIE AND FRAME US AFTER ALL THE **** WE HAVE BEEN THROUGH FOR YOU! KILLER BUNNIES, SHAPESHIFTING KIDNAPPERS AND NOW THUNDER FROM THE HEAVENS? YOU ARE GOING TO NEED TO THAW OUT FOR A BILLION YEARS AFTER I AM DONE WITH YOU!" Skadi screamed, not taking the situation well in the slightest.
