"Silvia, we were just attacked by killer rabbits, we're here on a mission to make sure the marriage that the prince isn't happy about goes through, the last mission we had to help the nutcracker who was really a prince get his kingdom back, and I got horribly burnt from Thea's attack. Before that the guild was attacked by Magus Ascension, by Ezekiel, just after Caleb got back. On top of all that, I have made several ice scupltures, one of which was a replica of the nutcracker in the last mission. Our guild emblem is a sapphire moon, and we're all fairly new to the guild. Is that enough information, or do I need to go into your past?" Skadi asked, taking in a huge breath after she finished rambling.​

 

After having defeated the second wave of people, and not going down in a single hit like the first wave, she felt a bit more confident in this fight. As Kageyama seemed to say that he was going to bring out the big guns, Aoki was about to retort with some confident statement about never going down...however, she just got knocked out for a few seconds by these dark guild members, so she figured actions would speak louder than baseless words. As such, Aoki, ironically, used Fire Dash on the Dark Guild Silencer.

Having just struck one of the other nobles down, Rho noticed how the only mage of their team had just been knocked out. Ah well, couldn't perfectly win everything. Regardless, Rho got his sword ready to attack the Baron Falconbridge with a blitz attack.

After having defeated X, Lucia had done a fist bump into the air as she said, "woohoo! Way to go guys!" Giving a thumbs up to the rest of them, she then looked at Alisa who asked about the downed guild member, to which she shrugged and said, "well I mean, he did seem pretty intent on killing us, so he'll probably be good just sort of lying there for a bit." As she started to follow the Balthazar dude, she then asked him, "so why exactly was X trying to kill you again?"

 

Journey to Sian ​

"I mean, I don't think it's bad if he takes a bit of a nap." Calxiyn said, crossing her arms. "Lucia has a good point, why is he trying to kill you, sir?"

Balthazar bit down on his lip, and his eyebrow squirmed. "Well, you see, we have found a Scepter, a Scepter that will guide us to where we must go, but unfortunately, X did not see that the trouble we went through is really worth it. He says I am soft hearted, and has tried to overthrow me, as second in command. Maybe he's right, but my quest is not for blood or for fame, like some guilds. I have other reasons for my quests."

"I see... well, I think that he's just jealous. They obviously look up to you." Calxiyn smiled at Balthazar.

 

While the princess had said nothing about the lake that they had raced to, she did bring up the sunset that was going on. Zwei completely missed the fact that the sun was setting in the first place, but didn't mention it at all. In fact he was too busy to reply to the princess for he was to busy staring at the sunset. In fact, we'll just assume that she'd called his name a couple more time to get a response from him and on the last time she'd called his name, the somewhat blank stare that was on his face has vanished and he'd snapped back into reality. "O-oh right. Well I can't really complain. I've been pretty fortunate." Which were lies, but the illusion had to be kept up. Even if he'd momentary forgotten that he was the prince due to the sunset.

"Oh" Damian sighed when his revelation was cut off, suddenly Silvia was backing against the wall with paranoia, she did bring up a valid point though "That's true, how do I know you aren't those girls returned?" Damian criticised the newcomers "Oh well we can debate identities later, what's been happening while I was gone?"

 

Boreal's arms locked at his sides as soon as he was accosted by the ecstatic Renette. He had never met the woman in his life, but there she was, embracing him as if they were friends. He wasn't sure what to think. I was right. This guild is full of nutcases. I don't know if I want to join this guild. Everybody here seems unstable in some way or another.
"Do I know you?" He asked, utterly mystified as to why this girl's arms were around his neck. "If not, it's... Nice. To meet you." After she released him, he was ready to be actually told something useful. She had fixed him with an intense stare, as if she were to reveal something blindingly important and relevant, no, essential to the solving of this problem. And then she asked him if he liked waffles. He blinked in surprise. He heard her right, he was sure of it.
"Yes, I do like waffles." Boreal answered. Maybe if he played along with the strange girl's games then he would get somewhere. He was half tempted to ask the others for a bit of advice about what to do about her, but he had a feeling that in her case, nobody was going to be able to be forthcoming with him about. He knew that they wouldn't. Some people you just couldn't predict, or explain. She seemed to be that person. Finally however, she was able to, if a little absent mindedly and strangely explain the nature of the situation and having glanced around the room a bit, had in fact managed to spot what he assumed to be the offending paper plane.
"As it happens, I didn't know that already. However, I believe that I have spotted your paper plane." Boreal took the chance to step away from the strange, but enthusiastic lady and went to pick up the paper plane. He did so and unfurled it from its current state that of a normal piece of paper. He held it up to Renette. "This is the paper you speak of, yes?"

 

As Lucia listened to how there was some sort of disagreement about the worth of the scepter between the leader of the guild and X, she then shrugged at what Cal had said and responded, "and even if he's not jealous, I don't think keeping a second in command around who wants to kill you is such a good idea." Lucia was wondering why X was even a second in command. He seemed to be way too aggressive and way too bloodthirsty to really warrant being in any sort of leadership position. Then again, she wasn't really so sure on the whole workings of this area anyway, so who knew, that could probably be normal. That was a bit unsettling to think about. Shaking that thought off, she looked back to Balthazar and asked, "so, where's this scepter guiding us to?"

 

Silvia was still having a break down despite what Leo had said. Damian hadn't really said anything to help the situation at all though there probably wasn't much that he could've said that would've help given how he's been missing for quite some time. What they needed was a surefire way to convince Silvia that they weren't imposter's and Skadi had said what could be that surefire thing. "Remember the picture I showed you back at the guild hall, how it helped to ease some of your troubles. We talked about your parents and briefly mine."

The guild master wasn't all too concerned about his second in command that they had just beaten which could've been a result of the latter trying to kill him. X was an odd man. Inviting them to help and then having them fight or be killed. Makes you wonder why he's still part of the guild. Especially since he's apparently tried to overthrow the current guild master. "Can you tell us what these reasons are?"

 

The Contest

"Young girl, I thought you said you would stay out of our affairs, hm? Plus, we're almost done battling anyway. Take a seat and watch the fun." Zephyros told Thea, eyes rolling. Zephyros knew bringing the little girl would be trouble. Zephyros then looked over at Taylor, who was still on the ground. Zephyros' first instinct was to heal her, but Zephyros' fists clenched. "I've learned life don't give a sou, for sentimentality, no, my lovely nor should we." The words echoed in Zephyros' mind.

Rho used Blitz on Baron Falconbridge. He jumped 5 times, each time doing 5 damage. He did 25 damage, but with Strength and Weapon he did 63.​

Aias used Fire Surge on Baron Falconbridge. It did 25 damage, but with Magic it did 28. ​

Baron Falconbridge's defense reduced 6 damage. ​

Zephyros used Blitz on the Pirdish Lord. Zephyros jumped 5 times, each time doing 5 damage. Zephyros did 25 damage, but with Strength Zephyros did 41 damage. ​

The Pirdish Lord's defense reduced 4 damage. ​

"Finish him off boys!" Zephyros yelled.

The Pirdish Lord used Brawler on Zephyros. It did 5 damage, but with Strength and Weapon it did 33.

As Rho had helped strike down the duelist of the nobles, all that was left to deal with was the scrappy one of them. Looking at the young girl who had seemed to come to see how they were, and she soon went to go attend to the fallen mage of their party. "It's true," Rho had affirmed to the young Thea, "this fight is drawing to a close as we speak. Besides," he motioned to the last remaining suitor, "we have come here to show that when someone is rude to others without remorse or repentance for no other reason than their own ego, well they need to be taught a lesson." Looking to the Pirdish Lord, Rho but a sly smirk on his face as he said, "now then, let's see if you've learnt your lesson yet." With that, Rho used sliding dash on the Pirdish Lord.

 

Kingdom of Elamos

Dominique gave Zwei a small smile. "Daydreaming?" Dominique asked him, giggling a bit. She moved her dark hair behind her ear. "That's a very... selfless thing to say." Dominique couldn't find the right word, so she explained herself. "What I mean is, there are many nobles who are very... self-centered. There were many suitors who came to see me, before your father purposed a merger between the Kingdoms. Many of them were... horrible, quite frankly. Hopped from girl to girl, searching for a bride. I pity poor Nessa Rose, who I think they have gone to see next, according to the gossip." She got back on her train of thought.

"They don't think about their Kingdom or they're people, they act as if they can't see the power they have in front of them, how fortunate they are to be able to leave and make chances in the world. Even if it's in a small part of the world, for these people, this Kingdom IS their whole world. And we have so much power as leaders to make life wonderful for them, and many don't. They don't see their fortune, they only think about themselves." Dominique continued passionately. "You're willing to marry a total stranger for the sake of your Kingdom, and I think that's very admirable. That is the kind of leader that a Kingdom should have, one willing to make those sacrifices for the good of the people." She looked down, for a moment, though it was probably not very Princess like of her, and she whispered softly. "I am glad to have to marry you, your highness."

 

Aias remained as stoic as he had always been when Thea and the others had run out and the girl told them to stop fighting. Given that they were only a single person away from finishing the fight, it seemed a tad late to stop. "Once this battle is over with, perhaps they will learn to be less judgmental in their opinions. There cannot be a balance in the world while there are people who are looked down upon for circumstances that is beyond their control. If they will be more open minded about their judgement of a person, then I will be a step closer to my goal." Aias said, coating himself in a barrier of light and shoulder charging the last suitor. This would be the end of the battle. ​

The description that the princess had given about some of the other nobles wasn't much of a surprise to Zwei. hopping from girl to girl wasn't much of a surprise to be honest, nobles weren't the only male to do that, but when it came to nobles their reasoning for doing so was very different from the norm. For example, they wanted a male heir and all of their brides kept producing females. He didn't know who Nessa Rose was, but if a bunch of suitors were being sent to her, then it was understandable for her to feel bad. "It must be bad to be in a situation like that."

The princess had continued with her passionate rant I guess as well as flattery of him. To which at the end he just lightly chuckled. "I just try to do what' best for the people. You'd probably do the same if you were in my position."

They had gotten Silvia to somewhat calm down and she was right, they couldn't just sit around here. They had to find the prince since he wasn't here. The problem was that the scent that Leo had ended here. They would need a new scent to find the prince. Which would require something else with his scent. "We need another way of finding his scent. I should be able to find him if it leads somewhere else."

 

Zephyros used Fire. Zephyros did 5 damage, but with Magic and Weapon it did 16 damage.
Rho used Sliding Dash. It did 18 damage, but with Strength, Speed and Weapon it did 65 damage.
Aias used Barrier Surge. It did 5 damage, but with Defense and Weapon it did 26 damage.

Together they did 107, but the Pirdish's defense reduced 5 damage.

The Contest​

Zephyros smirked as they beat the suitors. "That will teach them." Zephyros told the members of the Guild.

Nessa brought everyone to gather in front of a room, which had a golden door. Zephyros spoke.

"Before we begin, my lady, please allow me to speak." Zephyros started.

"Speak if you want, don't leave it there." Nessa crossed her arms.

"Mislike me not for my complexion. The shadow'd livery of the burnish'd sun, to whom I am a neighbour and near bred. Bring me the fairest creature northward born, where Phoebus' fire scarce thaws the icicles and let us make incision for your love, To prove whose blood is reddest, his or mine. I tell thee, lady, this aspect of mine hath fear'd the valiant: by my love I swear, the best-regarded virgins of our clime have loved it too." Zephyros started to laugh, nudging Vance. "I would not change this hue, Except to steal your thoughts, my gentle queen." Zephyros bowed. You could tell that the words he spoke were rehearsed, and that Zephyros did, in fact have a way with words. Zephyros knew how the nobles spoke, and copied it almost to a 'T'.

Nessa looked a bit taken aback by Zephyros, but tried to speak pleasantly even still. "In terms of choice I am not solely led by nice direction of a maiden's eyes; besides, the lottery of my destiny bars me the right of voluntary choosing: But if my father had not scanted me and hedged me by his wit, to yield myself his wife who wins me by that means I will tell you soon, yourself, renowned... suitor, then stood as fair as any comer I have look'd on yet, for my affection." Nessa looked over to Vance. You could see her putting on a fake presence, like most nobles did.

"Go through the door, and draw aside the curtains and discover the several caskets, the caskets that will either make you blessed or make you cursed among men." Nessa explained. "One casket will have my portrait. Who ever finds it will marry me."


~ Mission Information: The way this is going to work is simple: You will all volunteer your characters in a certain order. After that I will tell you all individually what the caskets are with descriptions, and how Nessa reacts to all you choosing etc. Basically I will write a post with you in skype. You will reply back to me. Everyone will do this and I will include everything in one, big, masterpost. This way no one knows which casket is the correct one etc. ~

Kingdom of Elamos

Dominique smiled at Zwei. "Of course. This is why I know that we will lead all of our people with that certainty." Dominique told him.

 

Aias stepped forward. "Alright. I will volunteer first." The order in which they went did not appear to have an overly large meaning. Or if it did, it was an obscure one. Surely there was more to this than a simple game of chance. He would have to figure out what it was.

Alright. Well. We beat X. That is a fact. I am responding to it. She listened to Balthazar about the scepter that they found. "So, if this scepter is going to lead us to 'where we need to go', then i assume it's magic o' some kind? And you wouldn't call us to help you with it if it weren't dangerous. So, i think a better question than where are we goin' is why are we goin' there? I mean, there's gotta be somethin' there you want. Maybe someone. Who knows. In any case, i think we deserve to know why we're headin' out on a grand quest if we're gonna be the muscle." ​

 

In the name of justice, Gaius swiped the piece of paper from Boreal's hand. The spell was evil and had caused much trouble, and so it had to be stopped. He held it into the air. "Let this terror no longer plague these lands, the spell lost for as long as my digestive system takes!" the justice-empowered fire mage declared, before placing the paper in his mouth and swallowing.​
