Kingdom Hearts In the early stages of KH...

My friend told me that in the early stages of Kingdom Hearts, there was actually suppose to be a fourth person with Riku, Sora, and Kairi. It was a female and her name was Skylie. I don't think it's spelled right. It could be Skylee or whatever else...

I honestly don't think he was lying because he went into some crazy details about it, but I have never heard of anything like this. For example, you know when Sora blasts a beam of light through the keyhole to lock it? Well, Skylie was actually suppose to hold up her two curved weapons together, and when they were held to gether they formed the shape of a heart. Sora would blast the beam of light through the heart and then into the keyhole.
He just kept going into these long explanations, and he made this Skylie person sound very interesting. Of course, she's not in the game, but I still would like to learn a bit more about this.

Can anyone help me? Either confirm this or bust this myth?

Well...I suppose it's possible, but I don't see where she'd fit into the story -- and also, Sora, Riku and Kairi's names all have meanings in Japanese, and 'Skylie' doesn't (I don't think)...Wouldn't they give this Skylie a special name, too, since they did that for the other original characters?

 

I've never heard anything about it, but then again, I haven't heard much about the early stages of KH to begin with. So...I couldn't give you a straight answer either way.

I find the name amusing, though, because that's what my friends used to call me when I was little.

 

I was told that this Skylie was to Riku as Kairi is to Sora.
Riku+Skylie, Sora+Kairi

They took her out of the story because it conflicted with the usual Final Fantasy three man fighting theme.

IF he says it's true and all that, I'll definitely show it. He swears it was in an IGN article.

That's perfectly fine, because in fact, if my friend is lying, then I would honestly be talking s***. I'm asking for confirmation, I'm not saying this is a real thing or anything. Since the most of you all have said that you've never heard of something like this, it may not be.

I can understand if you think I'm making this up, but I'm not. My friend may be, but I certainly am not. I definitely don't intend any harm or anything.

I just found this character so very interesting. His story seems so complex, it couldn't possibly have come from his imagination. Or maybe it could have, I honestly don't know.

1. KH has made lotas of changes before they put the game out. Re did almost ALL the worlds and Movies.
2. In the first one they made it so you can go to Disney Catle, but they took it out.
3. They were going to use some other FF people but didn't.

They made lots of changes. And it does seem like they would do something like that. But to make sure ask your friend where he got this intermation(sp?).

 

In the first game they were gonna put in Rikku as part of the TT gang. But they took it out. Two charries with the same name =/= good.

 

It could be possible. Like La Sofa said, Kingdom Hearts made a lot of changes in their game, and this 'Sky-whatever' person made be real. You shouldn't doubt it. Your friend may be right about this, and one day maybe you'll find out he WAS right. Even though I'm not 100% sure, there is a 50/50 chance of your friend's prediction being told.

 

They really should have kept it.
For one, Yuffie's personality always seemed more sulky and sarcastic to me. I mean, she's a freakin' ninja! Those characters, to me, aren't interchangeable. And it seems that kept Rikku's lines even if they changed the character.
For two, they could have played on the humor.
"Have you seen anyone named Riku, or Kairi?"
"Rikku? YES! We have."
"Yeah, what'ja want from me?"
"....! But you're not Riku!"
"Am too! God, you're rude."
Why is Square so stiff when it comes to certain things, eh?

 

I'm not sure how that would fit in, plus I think that your friend is making it up....But if he isn't could we see some information about it?

Ive seen the trailer... he actually inserts the Keyblade into the Keyhole. Not beams of light or whatever. So unless they thought of Skylie and then took her out before the first trailer... or after it ... whatever I doubt it.
