358/2 Days In General...

What was your overall opinion of Xion?

What did you think of her...
-appearance?
-personality?
-role?
-importance?

Personally, my first thought was that she looked all to much like Kairi, regardless of why it was done, and it was done purposely, I thought she could have taken on a little bit more of a different look.

And her personality was much too touchy feely for my taste. I mean, I know she was supposed to be a picture of "Hey you're a Nobody/fake/however-you-want-to-think-about-it, you're not supposed to have emotion! Oh wait, that's okay because you're special like Roxas is, so you can!", but seriously, Roxas was special enough.

If she was going to rejoin with Roxas anyway, what was the point of her ever being there in the first place? So Roxas can almost disappear, or that he could cry over he freezing body? Man...it just doesn't make sense to me...

Overall, if you can't tell, I just really don't care much for her. Pointless character, pointless part of the story - unless something is resolved for her in an upcoming Kingdom Hearts game.

 

Appearance- She looked way too much like Namine and Kairi, I understand she was made up of Soras

Personality- Just plain annoyed me. What you said, pretty much.
Role- Her role was seriously unnecessarily, it seems like "Ok lets add a random girl to make it more interesting" if she was gonna die anyway, like you said, then whats the point? We already figured out Roxas has emotions when he wakes up with water on his face, we don't need to see him cry into a shell.
Importance- she served no importance whatsoever, she didn't matter in any of the KH games (Well, maybe Re:Coded at the end, but that was a remake)

 

Pretty damn sure she's going to have an important role in an upcoming Kingdom Hearts game.

Xion was pointless, and she sort of annoyed me. Also, I've got a question, why wouldn't the organization allow her and roxas to coexist? They kinda made her, so if they only needed one keyblade master, why'd they get two? Sorry, that's probably a dumb question... ;)

 

Overall I believe Xion, wasn't nessessary for the story at all.
Apperence: At first thought she had some sort of connection with Kairi, (apparently not)
Personality: Similar to Kairi, bland character.
Role: In the game, very annoying, but eventually I began to enjoy her character.
Importantce: Well, a connection to Sora, so it must have some importance, and not just about his memories either.

I don't see why people hate her. I mean I didn't like the fact she has the same powers of Roxas but still she added some depth to the story. Though her running away twice was kinda weird.

 

Xion interested me at first. As in the very first time I played Days. It did annoy me that she was taking away from Roxas's 'life', but how the game ended..man. I really think she has a big connection in the later games, cuz I read from a couple sources that

I dont see why everyone hates on Xion.I mean think about it.You couldnt make the transition between KH1 and KH2 without her.She was like the main reason Roxas left the Organization causing him to get caught by Riku who put him in twilight town where he met Namine who had Sora.

 

I liked Xion...but she was kinda annouying at parts :/
And she kept leaving,and coming back....
And...the biggest and of all.....she made Axel sad,which is unacceptable ¬_¬

I actually really liked her character. Sure, she was quite a bit of a Mary Sue, but she was the pulling force behind the events of KHII, predominately through Roxas' actions. Had Xion not been created, we wouldn't have as concrete a reason as to why Roxas left Org. XIII in the first place.

In terms of character, she reminds me of KHI Kairi in terms of innocence and determined resolve. She also seems to be a bit like Namine, since when she discovered that what she was doing was wrong, she immediately stopped and went to great lengths to stop it. Not to mention the relationship between her and Roxas was dynamic; as the story progressed, the two came to be something close to resembling lovers who could never be together (especiallysincetheyarethesameperson), and eventually, in the climactic figth at the end, Roxas was forced to kill Xion due to her wish to reunite with Sora (which in itself is probably the most self-scarificing act of bravery in KH thus far).

 

I also found Xion very pointless; not to mention that she is a Mary Sue. She annoyed me no-end. But dare I even suggest that, lest the Xion fangirls/boys flame me.

I was very disappointed because 358/2 Days was nearly all about Xion, when it was meant to be Roxas' game (thanks a lot for that, Nomura). Nevertheless, I enjoyed poking fun at just about everything Xion did throughout the game.

 

At first I found Xion kinda annoying because her attitude was so depressing. Roxas was already depressing enough, the last thing 358 needed was another melancholy character. As the game went on though I grew to kinda like Xion because her importance in the storyline became more and more evident. As for her appearance, I though she just looked like Kairi with black hair which make sense because

Overall she was an ok character, but Roxas was still my favorite in 358.
