I'm Randomly Really Nostalgic About the Gamecube

My friend asked me when EB Games stopped accepting Gamecube games, and I've been on a nostlagia trip since then.
So many cool games. Not necessarily great games, but cool.
So much stuff
Paper Mario, Mario Sunshine, Smash Bros, Wind Waker, Pikmin, Twilight Princess, Crystal Chronicles, Luigi's Mansion
Lots of cool stuff

Weird to think that came out ten years ago

 

as a kid i always wanted a gamecube solely for zoids: battle legends

 

I kinda want to go get a Gamecube from my local game shop now.

 

Gamecube was the best console. You should obviously be nostolgic over it.

Ha. My fam still has a Gamecube in perfect working order, and I just so happened to be playing Paper Mario only yesterday. Today, I opted to go even further back and popped River City Ransom into my parent's NES, which has been working for all my life.

I've got a Wii U. Are they really backwards compatible that far? I thought they only supported Wii and Wii U games.

(on N64 though, Pokemon Puzzle League was my ***** for so long. No one in my house could beat me, it was so great)

 

I currently play Melee competitively and only just got my first cube a couple years back.
I have no nostalgia.

Oh, that thing. You do realize that's not an actual Wii U hack, right? It's sandboxed inside the Wii emulator on the Wii U. It's just a Wii hack that was ported to the vWii. I mean yeah, it's a pretty big accomplishment, but only as big as the PSVita's VHBL, which isn't considered a proper Vita hack in its community.
