Grades don't matter that much unless you're aiming for the ivy leagues. Focus on being educated no matter what your tests say.

People who pick on you and others are protecting their own egos. Don't fear them, pity them. They do not have the self-esteem to feel good about themselves without making others look bad.

Don't get anyone pregnant/get knocked up.

Don't be afraid to stir the pot if someone does something you don't like.

Wow. So I totally looked up the Ivy League after I read this and realized the school I want to go to is in it :\ But the only subject I suck in is math(algebra, geometry, etc. SO I think I good in this section (hopefully).

I just wished the High School wasn't so freakin big. It wouldn't be a problem if all my classes were in the ninth grade center though :(

I'll be able to survive High School easy enough, and thank god I don't have to ride the bus. I just have a really bad feeling about it and I don't know why.

A lot of drama happens on buses. It's not an irrational fear.

Algebra is my favourite subject in Maths. I'm sure you'll do okay.

Check out Khan Academy for short, casual lessons on any particular concept. Their Maths section is orgasmic.

I hope I passed algebra this year I don't wanna take it again until tenth grade. I failed almost every assignment. (But it's okay, I did retests and stuff :D)

    >//3//< Thank You! I'm definitely going to need this for geometry. It's the only class that I'm not looking forward to. Still, I would have been awesome it I could have chosen to take Japanese as my foreign language

We all wish we could do that. What did you end up with? German is great. Spanish is extremely useful, but I don't like it much...

Dang, man, 3 posts before anyone else. But don't worry, you only have 4 years to go and then you get to lose all your life to college. I was homeschooled, so I never had to deal with a public high school

I was going to do Japanese but they only have after school classes for it and I'm doing athletic training which requires us to stay after school everyday. SO, I'm settling to take sign language next year.

Is it weird that I'm looking forward to college more than high school? Cause I'm actually excited for that.

I used to feel the same way. Now though, I'd give anything to go back to my high school years (as crappy as they were).

I need to go to MIT. My dad wants me to go to Yale and I swear I laughed for like an hour. Anyway, MIT is one of the best school for technology(or so I've heard)so I'm trying to get enough credits or whatever it's called to go there.

I just hope neither of them are as boring as Junior High was.

Also, did Makaze just be helpful?

    Like, actually nice and helpful?

I just picture him being this girl's Senpai crush and coming up to her and Mak putting his hand on her shoulder telling her about khan academy and not to knock people up[DOUBLEPOST=1402000272][/DOUBLEPOST]
What in particular do you want to do? Like, career wise

That's the part I don't know yet. As long as it let's me travel (I don't like staying in one place) it's fine. I'll have to figure that out soon though =_=[DOUBLEPOST=1402000578][/DOUBLEPOST]I still don't even know who Makaze is...

Well the good news is that type of major is offered at many places- you don't need MIT for it. But hey, if you want to go there and can swing it- shoot for the moon! You'll either nail it or hit some stars, right?

I'm just gonna say, you need to be very good at math to do real CS and any level of EE.

That brings me to another point, why do you want to do EE and CS? Because if you want to do CS for coding you're looking in the wrong place. CS is a subset of mathematics and coding is a tool that you use as a part of it. A lot of people get into CS thinking it's all about the coding and they end up getting less out of their degrees than those who learn the counting and math.

In the end, you have four years to learn what you actually want to do and if it stays CS and EE go for it and if it changes let it change.

I know I'm trying to get better at math, I will SUCCEED!!! I'm still trying to straighten it out anyway. What I want to to is in EE and CS I just don't know what is is yet.
