Well I don't know much about smoking, cause I never did it, but I've read articles about it, with tips as well. (I must sound kinda stupid right but whatever).

I suggest that you always have something else handy to put in your mouth instead of a cigarette, like gum for instance. leave your money at home when going to school, that way you can't buy any cigarettes at school. try to stay away from others who are smoking and avoid certain places that you know you can buy cigarettes from.

I know it's hard to go cold turkey when it comes to smoking, so you may want to try carrying a set amount of smokes with you each day. when you become comfortable with having that set amount, then go another month or so with that number of cigarettes. after that lower the amount and repeat what you did before. that way you can ease off of it slowly.

If you decide to stop all at once, then try doing that as long as you can. just to let you know, you will end up smoking again. nobody, who is addicted to smoking, is able to give up on their first try. It usually takes at the least seven attempts to quit. so don't give up if it doesn't work out for you the first time, each time you get a little better. :) Remember I said that it takes at least seven attempts. that means for many people it takes more. how many more, I not sure. but by the time you hit seven, you usually can go for a long time.

Your craving will never truly go away. you will still feel it from time to time. but don't give in. you need to train your will power in order to beat this thing! think of it as trying to gain experience to level up your will power. ;)

Well, everybody's pretty much got ya covered at this point, so I'm just goona add that you should listen to everything everyone's telling you, and throw whatever cigarettes you have out. Just hurl that bad mother out the window.

Do it for you and the peoplez that care D:

Although I've never smoked, I know from people who did that the biggest issue is not so much the tobacco addiction, but finding something to do with your hands and mouth. My one friend who smoked used to eat lollipops just to do something with her hands while she used the patches too.. I heard they have nicotine lollipops too now anyway. Why don't you try those?

I remember how hard it was to quit
i can tell you my methods but personally i dont think its a good idea for you to try them
The way i finally stopped smoking got me to start cutting my wrists more often so it sort of helped but killed too
everytime i wanted to smoke or thought about the nicotine i would cut my wrist, not to deep, but just deep enough to draw blood, eventually i craved it less and less but now on the rare occasions i do i still have to force myself to cut, so in a way im not free.
you may want to try the same thing but with rubberbands instead

I can see the logic in that. It's like spaying a dog with water when he pisses on something.

No, no, no, no, no, wrong. If you say you'll quit, yet still carry cigarettes with you, you haven't quit and will never quit. Do not listen to this, you will only be addicted for longer. And remember, the longer you smoke, the shorter your life will be (I think the figure is something like a year off your life for every pack you smoke), and the harder it will be to quit. Those stupid "step" programs never work. You need to be hard on yourself, and you need everyone else to be hard on you. Get them to take your money and control it, grind any cigarettes you get under their feet, whatever it takes. STOP SMOKING NOW. Cold turkey.

well, that's what the second paragraph of that quote was for. lol that was all about going cold. both ways work, just one requires more will power than the other. from what you just said, my cold turkey suggestion will work better for you. :) I know people who've managed both ways.

Okay, My uncle started smoking when he was 15, and he's going to die of lung cancer soon...so I know about this stuff.

the best advice i can give you is:

    1. Get rid of all your cigarettes and everything that makes you want to smoke
    2. Get some quitting materials-patches and all that crap
    3. Do it now before its way too hard to quit.

You know, as surprising as it is, there is no law ( at least in the UK) about you smoking under the age of 18. There is a law against supplying a minor with tobacco and there are laws about them buying it. In the Government's view the person shouldn't actually be able to get tobacco and therefor there is no law against you smoking. I still fell that you should try to stop though. Talk to your GP (I really hope you're from the UK, I know the medical service), They'll be abe to help you.
