yeah yeah, whoop whoop, i'ma big shot..

    no really i'm not ._.

i hate smoking. I etch for one, anytime i'm not smoking, and when i am smoking, i just keep em coming and coming. I can go through probably a pack in an hour... no joke...

I don't know how to stop, i keep wanting one, and i buy them at school from kids and stuff and i'm afraid i might end up smoking at school, and get put on the tobacco list, Which isn't fun ): No hallway privlages, and you must have someone watch you at all times even if you go to the bathroom D: (but they don't WATCH you watch you They stand by the door to listen for a lighter and stuff)

    i need help, like really....
    i can't stop, even when i make promises that i will ):
my mom knows i smoke, and she asks me sometimes if she can have some, but i don't want to grow up with lung cancer, but the nicotine is just.... omg yes x_x

    help please? ;~;

Well, you're 15, isnt it illegal to smoke under 18? Well, anyway...It seems like you got really hooked on smokes and the only way I think of helping you is those patches that make the urge go away, and you MUST stay away from them after that.

:3 I dont want cuppycake to get sick

What the hell? In all seriousness, this shouldn't happen to ANY 15 year old girl. I think that you got hooked on it way too early and it's going to be hard to quit.

I recently quit as well and I have one recommendation. Willpower. There's no easy way out of it. When you smoke, you need to quit immediately. All that stuff about lessening your smoking every week....no, it doesn't work. It's all crap. Just stop. This is kinda a touchy subject because there's no REAL advice for it. You can't pick up a new habit, nor can you use those patches. You need to say, "I'm better than that."

I just faced the reality that it has no beneficial effects to it. You're paying good money to kill yourself slowly.

Woah, wow, the first common situation in the help with life area. congratz, lol

alrite, fine then, I'm gonna keep this short since smoking isn't my expertese. I'll tell u what one of my family members did to stop smoking. See, whenever your smoking, it feels good to just have the cigerate in your mouth, right? Like the actual feeling of it? Well, my grandma caught onto that, ya know, and so she could stop her addiction, every time she wanted one, she'd get a glass of water, juice, or whatever, and she'd drink it through a straw, but she would treat the straw like a cigerate

now, I'm not saying that this is the most affective method, but either way, if your looking for a way to distract yourself so that way you don't get one, go along with that, cuz even today, my grandma doesn't smoke at all. it even helped my dad to quit

i just need to find out, why i'm so depressed and maybe i might stop.

Speaking of which, these: [IMG] actually helped one of my friends quit. They'd do basically the same thing as Deathsight said. But it does also take will power. There's not much other advice to give you, hon. =/ It depends on what works for you.

I'm sorry, but that's nothing but a huge load. Nothing is MAKING you smoke except you. You have control over your action. The first thing you need to do is own up, say that it's completely your fault, and that you have a problem. If you can do that you're already on your way there to stopping.

The best way I can think of is to request the help of everyone you know to watch you at all times and, if you cannot MAKE yourself stop, make them do something to remind you. For instance, a friend sees you light up, and they should then remind you of your goal, and if you say screw it, then they forcibly take the cigarette from you and grind the box under their shoe. If your parents don't help, then try to stay out with friends as long as possible and hope to god (so to speak) you have the willpower to resist it at home. But, in your situation, the withdrawal is probably going to be hell. Just focus on the goal - living to be 100:D/not getting cancer.

i know it's my fault. I never said it wasn't.. But every time i'm depressed, i rely on a cig rush to help it go by quicker, no joke..

you don't know how i work.it's different. You might've done it because you had an etch or something, i don't know..

    i've only started, i haven't been smoking long ._.
    maybe about.. 3 months?

I can't stress on how important it is to stop you from smoking.
It is so bad for you and I wouldn't want to see you get hurt by it.
I guess a couple of reality commercials may help.
I want you to watch them.

I know it's hard to watch this, but it's so important that you take a look and think about your life. These commercials are very quick and make you think about it. Do what's right for you and make sure you stay healthy. I'm here to talk if you need someone.

I started smoking in sixth grade but quit because i didn't like the taste...
and started again my Sophomore year when i was 15-16 and quit early my senior year because I didn't want to grow up wit lung cancer, i always try to get my mom to quit and i don't want to be a hypocrite, and i don't want my kids to smoke cigerrettes and i'm not going to be a "do as i say,not as i do" parent.
Think of the examples you'll be setting for other people

it saddens me that you blame your deppresion for this.
it saddens me that you have diagnosed yourself with deppresion. I think that it is such an over-used term these days.
tell yourself you dont have deppresion.
you do not under any circumstances need a cigurette at any time in your life.
    one last thing...
you are a smart, capable person who is strong enough to do this.
    good luck.

It won't be hard to stop. But anything worth having (stopping smoking) doesn't come easy. >: Sorry to hear. My dad is a smoker too.

Just... don't take "one last smoke". It'll turn into another and another. I helped a friend quit, though he wasn't as bad as you :D, and he said that advice helped him the most.

I agree with Renegade. 15 years old? I thought you were older than I was, when I first read this.

First off, try to consult help. And if your mom is asking for cigarettes too, preferably not your mom. Did you know it takes 15 years for your lungs to become normal again (granted, if you've been smoking for more than a year) but still, that's a long time. I don't have my health textbook in front of me, but its not much shorter for someone who has been smoking for a less amount of time.

If you really want to stop, try removing all things that tempt you, or talking with someone.

Okay this is what you can do. These are just options. Talk to someone you trust about your bad habit probably a doctor if you prefer. They might put you on an anti depressant or some other thing. Get rid of all your cigarattes or pitch any of them if your family has any. If they smoke you can have them do the same thing and fight this addiction that will definity stop for sure. If you are away from any influencing of smoke then it won't put you to a depression state of what to do it. Get involved in activities that don't remind you of smoking. You can also look up the results of smoking online and see what will happen if you continue to smoke. There are lots of things that can kill you at an early age or develop from smoking for a long time. Lungs will look healthy, but then they will become black and diseased looking over years.

Or you get nincotine patches or even the gum. It reliefs the smoker that they don't need to smoke cigarettes, but encourages to need less of the drug in their system and they slowly get off it.

You can develop COPD: Chrotic(continuing) Obsessive Pulmonary(lung) Disease from this. Sadly this what my grandma has and now she has a hard time breathing all the time and has to have inhalers and oxygen for the rest of her life which is her own fault because she smoked for a very long time and didn't quit early and it caught up with her. She regrets it now.

I am not trying to scare you just showing you reality check. Only you can make the choice to quit no matter how addicting it is. If you have believe in yourself as a person you can do anything to save your life and health. It will help with your depression is will, but you to be strong to accomplish it even if it takes some time.

id have to agree with that part; no matter what part of the states you live in its illegal to be smoking at your age, kiddo. make sure you speak to whomever youre GETTING them from and cut off your supply; thats the best idea. there are clinics and place that can help you without much charge. good luck and make sure you take care of it soon because the longer you do it the shorter and more awful your life can be. :D
