IGN: Top 100 Videogame Villains

I didn't go through all 100 because I don't have the time for that atm. May go back and continue. Went up to 82 and then skipped to number one.
Just want to say that I am so happy to see GlaDOS is there. As soon as I saw the title of this thread I was thinking something Portal-related had to be near the top. She was just too brilliant. Hilarious, witty and dark, in my opinion at least. ​

why would zero be up there? isn't he a hero in Megaman? But I'm kinda surprised that Xemnas or Ansem Seeker of Darkness didn't make it. I mean, they were huge villains, and I think they were pretty bad. More so than some of those generic things like Zombies

 

Do you always base your opinions on other people's judgments?
For one thing, you'd be surprised how many people favor FFVI over FFVII. Just because you've never heard of people recommending the game to you does not mean it's a worse game, it just means the people you interact with have never played it before. If you did look enough in the forum, you'd see a lot of people who would recommend FFVI to you.
FFVII is marked as the holy grail as FFs only because it's the first 3D Final Fantasy game. Otherwise, it's pretty much the most overrated game in the series. I'm not saying it's bad or anything. Heck, it's just personal tastes in the end. But as libregkd mentioned, FFVII has way too many similarities with FFVI (And no, I don't mean things like Chocobo and Airships which are in every Final Fantasy game).
Another thing, I'm shocked at how you've never heard any recommendations for the FFVI soundtrack. It has easily of the best and most memorable soundtracks in the whole series.

In my case, I played FFVI before playing FFVII, but that doesn't prove anything really.

I usually base my willingness to waste time on something on others' judgments. Recommendations are more important to me than reviews and synopses.

In this forum, yes.

I have not been recommended a soundtrack from an FF game before VII, so VI is not alone in that.

It also bears mentioning that I have never beaten a game for a console before the PlayStation and would be reluctant to play them simply because I do not have the console in question.

I don't know what it is, but VI irks me. It is probably the fact that images of Kefka himself annoy me. If a game is not aesthetically pleasing, then I will not get far in it. And of course you cannot link to ROMs.

Other than that, I believe VI is the only game I never touched or heard a word about in the series outside of this forum I have played all of the others in some form. Go figure.
