See, the thing is, I'm writing an Avengers fanfic, and to introduce Captain America, I've got him ordering a coffee in Starbucks, still a bit overwhelmed with how strange everything is. I thought it would be a funny way to bring him into the story, but my problem is... I live in small town backwoods hicksville, and I've only ever been to a Starbucks once in my life, and even then, I just got the same thing my sister ordered. Actually, anytime I go to any sort of coffee place, I always get the same thing whoever I came with ordered, unless there's something in particular I know I like, because someone else had ordered it last time I was there. My point is, I have no idea what kind of dialogue to write for the girl who sells the drinks. lol, I don't even know what to call her. I've got plenty of experience writing from Steve's point of view, I just need someone to assist with the other half of the conversation. XD Anybody willing to help me out?
Well first of all, they use Tall, Grande & Venti for sizes in stead of Small Medium and Large. She might ask if he wants an extra shot (of espresso, I believe). If it's just a regular coffee, there's three different brews, dark, medium, and blonde, plus some special ones that are listed. Recently they started a "Vanilla Blonde"-brew. She might ask whether he wants room for cream (which you have to add yourself at a separate station, along with sugar). If he's going for one of the espresso drinks, they might ask what kind of milk you want (usually whole or skimmed, potentially soy), if you want whipped cream on top. Thank you, like I said, I was the Steve in this instance. XD I'm actually like that about a lot of things, which is why I hate making decisions. I about freaked the first time someone asked me if I wanted iced or blended. XD lol, I remember saying "Which one's cold?" Haha, I might have to stick that in there, if I have him order something like that.
There's actually an even bigger size now. The Trenta: 31 ounces or 916 mL of whatever you order............pretty big xD So if he is really wanting some caffeine....yup =)
