Take away a superpower from any superhero, would you do it or not? Who would you get it from? Would you give the powers back? (if given the option)

The Sentry. He's got all the powers of Superman, but none of the weaknesses except he's vulnerable to mental attacks. He can still fight it, though.

And yes, I'd give it back when I'm done with it. Only because I don't think I could handle the whole split personality thing with The Void appearing every now and then.

Superman's. i just hate how he's so arrogant, i wna beat him up! the only disguise he wears to cover his identity is his glases. and then he thinks no one will notice! what arrogance! what's worse, no one does notice :yelling:

 

It's not only his glasses. He changes the part in his hair so it doesn't have that "Superman curl," and he also slouches a bit as well.

What's funny is that they tried doing that same thing in Marvel, and EVERYONE noticed. :xp:

But I'm still sticking with The Sentry.

 

it's the same with Sailor Moon! the only disguise they wear is a tiara which doen't even conceal ANY part of their face from being recognizable!

 

I would take Superman Powers away and NEVER give them back.... i'de take Batmans utility belt too he'd be screwed without HOW THE HELL DOES HE HAVE SO MUCH IN THAT THING???

Pah, silly mortals. I would go for... Jean grey's power. You cannot go wrong with psychic abilities. Give it back? Nope. Far more fun to just move things with your mind, even if that thing is a 30 story sky scraper...

 

I would take away Xigbar's power. Imean how cool would it be to be able to randomly transport somewhere and pop up upside down above someone. XD

 

If Quina from Final Fantasy IX counts as a superhero, (he/she should. xP) then I'd undoubtedly want the power to eat anyone or anything and then gain their powers. (not as much for the powers as for the ability to practically eat anything - food owns. =P)

And to answer the question seriously: I wouldn't want any superhero's power(s). One of the reasons is that I can't imagine any power that wouldn't be harmful for me as well. Flying at super speed would either result in you freezing to death (depending on how long you actually stay in the air) or the your eyes being ripped out or your ears being destroyed by the pressure, I'm sure we all know what shooting beams of light that are thousands of degrees hot from your eyes would resort to, mind reading would most likely drive you insane at some point and I'm sure you get my point already. Another reason is that I simply wouldn't want to stand out that much - I'm in no way someone who just blends into the crowd, but I don't want to be worshiped as a hero or have to stand out with everyone staring at me; that just isn't my thing. To be honest, I'd much rather be myself and have fun than have Super Special Awesome powers. :x

HUmmingbird, the perfect one for you is Invisibility. You like to sink into the background so that would be perfect.

As for me. Probably some sort of control over wind since it is my choice element.

 

Turning invisible by will... that actually wouldn't be too bad and unlike most other powers, not potentially lethal unless you do something extremely stupid and I can actually think of some practical uses for the power. I wonder how I didn't come to think of that. o.o However, I feel like I have to correct one thing: I don't like to sink into the background - I just don't like to stand out too much.

Anyways... I would probably take Raven's powers from Teen Titans... although it would be scary to be so evil O.o

Teleportation would definetly be good for me, 'cause then I would be able to get chores done faster. ^_^​

I'd probably take Magneto's power or Gladiator's. I wouldn't give it back to either of them.

 

You mean the Phoenix Force, right? Jean Grey's been dead for awhile in the current reality. If anything, you probably mean Rachel Grey's (Scott and Jean's alternate future daughter) power. She can do the exact same thing, but wield a small portion of the Phoenix Force as well. :p

On that happy note, if I had a second choice, I'd probably say Psylocke. She wields a telekinetic katana, good fighting skills and the best part of all, CANNOT BE MANIPULATED BY REALITY SHIFTS OR MIND CONTROL. ;)
