If you could go back ten years and tell your past self one thing, what would it be?

I wouldn't tell my past self anything.

 

Don't eat those dog treats.

But really. I would like to stransfer my current knowledge into the past me completely. Living as a kid the things that I know now would be amazing. I would tell myself everything.

 

Tell him the mistakes I made/he's about to make.

And this...

 

Don't ever go on the Internet.

 

To tell my parents to buy a house in 2008.

 

To stay away from video games.

 

Nothing. My 7 year old self wouldn't understand or remember any of it.

Paradox! You would not be able to tell yourself not to go on the internet if you had not gone on it. If you followed your advice, then you would not be able to give yourself the advice. Unless you planned to change world lines, in which case it would be okay.

But you would be one sheltered puppy, poor boy.

 

Except the fact that he was able to give the advice must mean that he did not follow it.

Which makes his giving the advice useless in the first place. Either way it is a meaningless effort.

 

Oh- did I forget to mention, in order to give my old self the thrill of being scarred for life, I would set his room on fire and have sex with his stuffed animals.

Look at what's in front of you instead of looking around, you'll waste less precious time you could have spent with her and other loved ones.

If I'm to be honest, I wouldn't tell them anything- I have made mistakes but those mistakes have made me who I am so i wouldn't want to change that.

On a lighter note- I'd tell them to never eat chocolate O.o
