If u smoke

Some people in my High School smoke excessively. I really hate that. They're just plain stupid. My dad smokes way too much and I hate it. I know I will never try it.

 

I hate when people smoke in my friends' house, because then my stomach hurts and I can't eat for days. smoking is so bad, but at least they outlawed it so people can't smoke in public restraunts now. at least in my state they did.

it's never good to do drugs of any kind. every year 400,000 people die because of smoking and 3000 second-hand smokers die just because of in haling smoke from a friend. its never to get involved with stuff like that.

My uncle has been smoking since he was about 15 and he had a wife and he currently has a girlfriend.

My grandparents have smoked for over 40 years.

I see every detail about smoking wrong, but if you want to, I say it's your choice.
My science teacher was talking about that one day and he said,"If anyone can give me just 1 good reason to smoke, as soon as school's over, I will go buy a pack of cigarette's and smoke them."

smoking is never good. it complicates health although most of the time you cant notice it. and for you to say its fun thats pretty sad. all your doing is killing yourself slowly.

 

Seriously how is your family and friends gonna move on from your death when you die? Well, unless you run a mile, for everytime you smoke, that might fix it.

 

Smoking is fun because it feels good to those that are addicted to it. That's why they continue: an addiction is not only fueled by the body's dependence on the drug, but by the positive reinforcement, or reinforcing drive of reducing negative feelings (i.e. stress.). Contrary to popular belief, most smokers are aware of the health risks of smoking. It's just that more is involved in addiction than just knowing the risks.

Families and friends will deal with death in the same way they always do, regardless of the cause; death is inevitable. Most of us just engage in behaviours that bring us closer to it.

And FYI, running a mile for every smoke you have will do nothing. Even when you quite, your health never returns to the way it was prior to smoking.

My dad has been smoking ALL OF HIS LIFE and he is just fine. He's a very hard worker who leads a just fine life.

Well then why every time that someone smokes in my friends' houses, do I get sick to my stomach, and am not able to eat for days?

Second hand smoke sucks, but its real.

 

I have been around smokers most of my life. You don't want to take a car ride with my dad. And yet I have the best lung capacity of most of my friends.

 

yes, alot of risks, teeth discoloration, Gum loss, cancers, poisoning... the list could go on... why isn't tobacco banned? because of money, the money is worth more than the lives to those tobacco companies....

 

Second hand smoke has been proven to not even be nearly as 'deadly' as it is made out to be. It's a ploy for the most part. My dad smoked a lot as did my grandfather and I can say that every one of the children they had, which was quite a few, have clean lungs.

There are quite a few reasons why we are seeing more cancer happening, despite the fact smokers are quitting the habit. Yes, cancer is not lowering due to less smokers as prices are forced up. However, no one wants to cover those because suddenly we come back to the environment.

1. We are living longer lives. People live twice as long as they used to from even a couple hundred years ago. Even in the last 100 years we've increased life expectancy. Therefore people live longer as the body still breaks down and more cancer cases come about.
2. People did not even know or recognize cancer for a long time unless they could see the growths. Countless people died in the past from cancer and were never diagnosed as often people with cancer have other failing ailments that can be diagnosed first.
3. More people go to get physicals and such more and medicine has improved dramatically.
4. Radiation in the environment and also reduced trees that produce oxygen are a big factor. Because of the ozone being weakened, more radiation filters in which is an absolute known cause of exacerbating cancer cells in people.
5. Carbon monoxide from vehicle exhaust and factories that produce nasty clouds of smog. There are some cities that literally have smog warnings for asthmatic people and alerts. This smog is a big contributor to bad lungs and such.

So in the end, cigarette smoke isn't good for you but we have a lot against us that is far worse and also better medicine to find out what is going on early as long as people do go at least once a year for physicals. Cigarettes aren't good for people but when someone is smoking outside, you can't get second hand smoke, as some people try to make up. The scientific research clearly shows that. As long as a smoker isn't in his/her home smoking and letting clouds build up because he/she doesn't ventilate the house, second hand smoke is not so bad. I do think people should consider not adding another problem to the situation, so I suggest people not smoke but in the end it is their body and I hang around people who smoke and it doesn't do anything to me.
