    Care to explain? I don't get what you mean or are insinuating. No, you don't get 70GB because companies use the 1000 method. If they'd use the 1024 method you'd get 70GB.

    Grab a screw driver, unplug your computer, take out the hard drive and check it for me real quick. Then let me know.

    If you're talking about externals, no they aren't (always) marked, but the size is on the box that contains it.
