    one piece time skips

    ...without spoiling anything plot related. ive wanted to google search it but im too afraid someone's going to spoil something. im only on episode 171 right now so...is there anyway anyone can tell me the answer without ANY spoilers whatsoever? or basically just tell me if the you know what was necessary?

    let just say luffy wanna become stronger and the directers wants to skip time because they don't wanna keep making episodes of him training all the time so that is y.
