^ Result of me waiting to go to a party. I'm not too big of a fan of it. Too much sharpening in everything, and the left side of the tag really wasn't needed imo, but it looked empty without it and I could not think of anything to fill the void. Probably going to make more things later when I get back. This time without being a circlesmudge whore. :B
I like the directions and the balance and flow it presents, and a nice dynamic stock. I think having it in gray tone really hinders the full potential of this piece. Other than that, I think it is fine, but touching up the circlesmudge never hurts.
My major problem with this is that the composition is too flat and the greyscale isn't really helping since most of the grey is of the same tone, making it more difficult to percieve depth. Darker colors are usually percieved to be closer by the human eye while lighter colors are percieved to be further away. Greyscale usually helps create depth since it can create more contrast but it can also do the opposite if there already wasn't enough contrast to begin with. Maybe a light source to create some contrast could help. And some blurring(since you've already done enough sharpening) to give the illusion of depth. The composition is pretty good. I just think it could use a little touching up. Mind sharing the render? Me likes :B
I agree with Llave, you should definitely add color to it. As it is now, it is a bit boring, nothing pops. Also, the render is lively, and when you have a "dead" (it looks good, but nothing "pops") signature with a very lively render and effects, it loses a lot of the look it could've had. So I'd like to see another version with color in it.
I quite like this. The way you smudged the stock slightly into the background at the right is nice and I don't find it oversharpened at all. The stock is also really nice, and the black and white is the only real complaint from me.
I really like this, it flows so well and the render is really well blended in. Everything seems so high quality I just wish there was a bit more contrast and a bit of colour. But damn, you have skill my dear Plums and it's good you are practising and experimenting with things, keep it up.
This is what a I noticed the most. And I really feel it hurts the overall image. on the flip-side. It looks like this is a major improvement in your techniques, Plumzilla. I suggest working with adjustments and some Dodge and Burn to create some depth into the whole B&W tag.
