IDON'TWANNAIDON'TWANNAIDON'TWANNAAAAAA!!!!!

I don't want to work tonight. I hate working 5 and a half hour days, mainly because I only get one 15 minute break, and it's a pain, and I just want a week off. Is that too much to ask?

 

Think about the monies.

 

The money, as it were, doesn't even lead to this paycheck this week, so NO!!!

 

I work ten hour days.

 

As much as I don't like working longer days, I do like it a little better since I get more breaks. Instead with this I feel like I'm working 5 1/2 hours straight. 15 minutes never seems like a long enough break

 

Once I had a four hour and fifteen minute shift with two breaks. I think one of the new supervisors wrote that schedule in. It was a good day.

 

Between 4 to 7 hours you get 1 fifteen minute break, and you only get a meal break for every 6 hours. That's why I like 6 hour shifts, because I work 5 1/2 still but I get 1 extra break

 

Yeah, like I said, I'm pretty sure it was a new supervisor who wrote the schedule. She might not have known.

 

Say that when you have to work ten hours a day six days a week for two months straight. I guarantee that you will have the knees of someone twice your age.

 

Already have. During the first 3 or 4 months when I went to California while I was working in the kitchen it was pretty bad. I was ready to die at the end of the busy sessions

 

Sometimes I work 8 hour shifts with no breaks.

 

I work 8 hours every day with 1 long break and 2 little breaks.

 

Don't worry, you can do it!! Everyone one of you working babbus can!! Think of it just as a mission or a quest and that you're slowly collecting experience points to level up! And be sure to reward yourself after each mission complete c:

 

I believe Dinny just uncovered the secret to an excellent work ethic. Your bosses love you and you get to live in your own little fantasy world. Win win.

Seriously though five and a half hours isn't that long. Try working a line for eight and a half with two ten minute breaks and a thirty minute unpaid lunch break. Nine hours, you only get paid for eight and a half, and you only get twenty of that eight and a half to recover. Thank gawd I don't work in a factory anymore.

I just got back from work. 11 AM to 8 PM. It sucks. I wouldn't mind work nearly as much if the manager wasn't always getting annoyed at me.

 

I don't know where you are, but if you don't stop annoying me, I will find you.....and I will kill you.

I regularly work 4-7 hour shifts in the kitchen with no breaks, I only take them if I desperately need a moment away from the kitchen which has yet to happen because I like getting into the zone at work and staying there.

You will get used to it and find it's not as bad as you make it out to be :3

 

I've worked at target for 7 months, and I worked in a kitchen full time 5 days a week on the slower periods of the year for 8 hours (which is to say it was hell during the summer I got there)....I don't think I'm ever getting used to it.
