In response to your first question, I'm just a really big fan of Friends, have the entire series on DVD and also have the ability to remember completely random things, such as, moments from Friends, song lyrics, etc.

As for the second one, if I were to give you the character, it would make it incredibly easy...mostly, so I'll give you another clue:
