It really depends on which part we're talking about.

But if all those people left, then all the KH forums would be dead, except for maybe KHInsider. You guys need us.

90% of those 1216 were probably guests, and it happened during some big KH news IIRC.
The "Most Users Ever Online" isn't really something to look at if you want to check a forum's activity. KHV is obviously less active than before, but it's still pretty active.

I didn't claim that it wasn't active, just that it was relatively inactive regarding it's history.

Back when the number online was usually somewhere between 50 and 200

Holy shit, are people still debating this?

Ok, let's put this in perspective.

I can't find an active D.Gray-man forum, and that is still updating.

We're technically in the Kingdom Hearts "off season," so to speak, and this place still gets about 61 new posts daily.

    It's active enough.

We have taken an activity hit as have all the Kingdom Hearts sites. We're also obviously not the most visited or the most active Kingdom Hearts site--that title has always and probably will always go to KHInsider. And there's nothing wrong with that. If you're looking for a super active Kingdom Hearts site, by all means, go to KHI! They have a lot to offer and are a fine site, but it's silly, I think, to excessively compare ourselves to them or any other Kingdom Hearts website. We all offer something different and while we should look at what the competition is doing right and what they're doing wrong, we shouldn't aim to be some carbon copy of another site, because people will always go to the original.

As for activity compared to our past, sure it's dropped, but there are a lot of reasons for that. Firstly, the Kingdom Hearts series has been chugging along with small releases/spin-offs that are all nice games, but a lot of the more casual fans are not going to be relentlessly posting about them or searching for content about them. Secondly, I think we hit a bit of a snag back in 2009, when Kayleah left (not saying she's responsible), and it's taking some time to get back on our feet--much of the work the staff has been doing has been structural/behind the scenes changes, that we may work 'better' in the future. Thirdly, the best thing to do when you see activity dropping is to post. :)

Wait, is it really down to 61 posts a day? That sounds unreasonably low. Especially when you consider how many of those are bound to be ****.

The forum's fine the way it is. Lot more enjoyable than many others I've visited.

It has been better for sure. We haven't had any major threads in a long time.

Not quite sure why people are complaining instead of actually doing things to encourage activity.

I for one suck at encouraging activity. I can temporarily boost it but I would not be able to reverse the flow. I have some ideas but I'm waiting for the opportune moment as usual.
