I was invited into a band last night...

... by showing sense of rythm by clapping my hands. The band is made up entirely out of geeks who think they're rockers, but then again thought that some Zelda theme was a "great song". Some of my friends were laughing at me and one almost got into a fight.
My best friend was literally crying with laughter over the fact that they have a FLUTE player in their band. Anyone know any good rock songs that involve a flute?!

They don't have an actual flute-player in their band, but Within Temptation has used flutes in few of their songs.

 

What's wrong with the Zelda theme?

 

Nothing really, but it's not 'rock' qualified, imo.

 

Anything can be turned into pure awesome by the magic of rock.

That's what made me turn down the offer, plus they only wanted me because I can clap

This sounds normal, a more celtic or classic sound could be achieved with a flute and it would work really well with any given Zelda song. And for the record, who else here thinks geeks can't be rockers?

It's called experimental rock. Look into it kbai. Also, the Zelda theme is a great song, don't even try to deny it.
