You're only 11? I thought you were as old as me. Of course you coudl be of an alien race that matures slightly faster than humans making your 11 years the equivilent of my 17. But who cares enough to even consider that, amirite?

i kind of was petrified, and i do care about my pc, plus threating an eleven year old with the fact you'll burn my pc down, and the fact i think he might hack all my accounts on Grand Chase and WoW (i put a usernames an passwrds thing on my pc T.T)

pretty sure he sent one like that... and wiped the hard drive..... and we had evidence of my dad's err.... stuff on there.

You should have restarted the computer into Safe Mode. Just unplug and restart.

I don't think it's possible to run your fans backwards, just fyi. Getting into your accounts is a big deal though, so if the guy is legit then you should freeze the accounts or something.

He can definitely get ahold of your accounts, so freeze those until further notice. As for melting your PC by turning the fans the other way, that's impossible. One, the air created by the fan will still circulate through the modem. Second, the fans are activated by a mechanism when it gets to a certain temperature. He can't do anything about that, so don't worry about him melting anything. But he can still get ahold of your files and such. Do a massive virus scan and then if it comes up clean, export everything to backup disks and flash drives, then get a new PC. Unless this guy is caught, that's about all you can do. Don't pay him the money. He's just a fruitcake who doesn't want to work for a living.

And why wouldn't rebooting into Safe Mode work?

Yeah I mean if computer manufacturers knew this, they'd probably try to design the computer so it wouldn't do that in any scenario possible...

You should get AVG free, if you don't want to pay, or your parents could get AVG that doesn't cost too much really for all it does. The virus protector is one of the best. Also spybot works very well. I am going to assume someone is probably getting you Norton or McAffee which will do the job too, though I can't say I like them as much.

To me, this sounds like a big bluff as there's no way he can turn your fans backwards, and the fans' soul purpose is simply to cool things off, which either way the fans blow, it's going to do that, as someone else mentioned above. However, the potential for this person to get files with sensitive info is possible if you have a trojan. I'd remove what sensitive info you don't need to have on there and use another person's computer if you have one available, to go on line and change your WoW password and/or other games or accounts you have to be safe, since you said you do keep the passwords on your HD. That's an extra safety precaution but if you haven't seen any sign yet of anything, just getting the virus scanners and altering some passwords to sites you go to will be most likely all you need to do.
