It was pretty lame at first, roommate wasn't really up to doing anything at all and the dorm overall was just kinda blah. Ended up moving to a new one though, and it's more or less salvaged the experience for me, haha. And I'm studying Psychology! Basically hunched over Powerpoints most days but it's all really interesting and something I'd like working in.

And nah, wouldn't say that's lame, man. It's always pretty relaxing to return to your roots and check in, 'specially if you're stressing. Sure you'll do great, though.

 

The running is all in my head. Haha.

But details, you asked for the details so I'm gonna drop a couple of those bitches down for us all to take a look at and ponder for a quick second. I've got three semester long projects, weekly problem sets, semiweekly programming projects and normal homework outside of class. Project number one is pretty simple, solve a slightly complicated thermo problem, no big deal. Project two, write a 40 page report about building apartments, again other than the time tax, nothing too difficult. Project three: redesign a drill. Now this one: fuck it. I need to do testing, calculations, design, prototyping, prototype testing and three progress presentations and two 60 page papers. Thank god it's group work. That small mercy has saved my life. But even with that I've found myself saying, "I'll sleep when I'm dead." basically every night.

Our asses all use the Skype now. Though, I miss the **** out of old MSN. I miss being able to doodle stuff and send it right there in the text field. Man, those were the days.

Dude, it's hands-down my favorite game right now. The core gameplay is so good. I can't even. Like, I study almost all the time right now, but when I get free time, Allstars is my go-to. Dude, Parappa is so goddamned good. I mean, one of the beautiful things about Allstars is that all of the characters are pretty balanced, so they're all viable competitively. However, Zeus and Kratos are easily the most OP characters. They're easy as hell to play as, and their level-3 specials are broken beyond belief. In case you didn't know, the entire point of the game is to smash the hell out of your opponents to build your special meter, then use your special attacks to get kills for points. Each character has a level 1, 2, and 3 special attack, each one being generally better than the last.

 

OH THANK GOD I hate it when some characters in fighting games just have obviously sucky moves compared to other ones. A balanced roster is good.

YES. It's absolutely worth buying. Do you own a PS3? Because if you do, it's one of those cross-buy games where if you buy the PS3 version you get the Vita version for free. And on top of that, whenever you buy DLC characters/stages for one of the consoles, you get the DLC for the other for free. Sony's on-point with this one.

College is okay, I've been studying a lot for the medical school equivalent of the SAT, and I've been stressing over it. BAHAHA AS IF, I PLAY PSN ALL THE GODDAMNED TIME. I mean, I'm busy, but hell if I can't play vidya. Allstars is my favorite game right now and it is absolutely one of the few things keeping me sane and ulcer-free right now.

 

The longer I've been in the major, the more I've realized how closely tied with business the program is at my school and honestly, I don't like that. The reason why we're redesigning a drill this year is because DeWalt runs the class and wants free labor on this model. Day one we all had to sign over our intellectual property on the project. The class itself also has basically no math or science in the daytime lectures. It's all this nonsensical mumbo jumbo about profit margins and optimizing turnover time. It's like turning the design process into an assembly line.
But vibrations. That class is awesome. That class is basically dynamics 2, but it's so much more interesting. Doesn't hurt that the professor is a nice guy.
