Digital Art I thought I'd give it a go

I don't really know what made me do this. I suppose I was bored. The phrase sounds familiar, but I'm not sure where from, if anywhere. It's my first real attempt so don't expect much.

First I'd say to find a cleaner render. The one you used looks roughly cut and low quality. Also try to blend it more, maybe even flip the render horizontally so she's facing the other way, it might help create a sense of flow.
Text stands out way too much.
I kinda like what you did with the background though, if you read some tutorials I think you could improve this quite a bit.

 

Like Horo said, you need a better render. You also need to blend it in more, an easy way to blend a render into a background is to duplicate it and smudge the bottom one.

 

Like DPWolf said your background is quite nice, just try and make your text meld into it but still be readable, maybe a clipping mask tutorial can help you with that. And I guess just the render needs to be a more clear and better cut one, and if the edges look rough even on another render you could blur it which you can also find tutorials for. Assuming your using Photoshop anyway.
