I think I found a way to play ps2 games on psp!

ok, so here it goes....... WARNING: this is just a therory, found no flaws yet though

you will need a 3.52 custom firmware (which counts as 1.50 normal firmware on the tutorial below) or up.

follow this tutorial to import linux to the psp:

next, set up this usb system for your psp:

psp>usb type B male to type A female>usb hub

or.......

psp>psp usb cord> usb type A female to type A female usb> usb hub

then, hook up a usb keyboard and a usb dvdr drive to the hub (do this after it has fully loaded into linux, you will need those later).

using your psp linux, download pcsx2 32 bit 0.9.3 for linux (or you can just download it on your home computer, it doesn't have to be a linux computer, but download the pcsx2 32 bit 0.9.3 anyway, then connect your psp and drag the file into the linux file where all the downloads go).

launch pcsx2 and set up the configurations (you might need your keyboard)

then once you are done, turn on the virtual ps2 and pop your ps2 game in the usb drive and play!

please don't argue, just ask a question if needed.

Q: you can't play ps2 games on your psp at normal speed!

A: you are right, it can't, but to make it close, set the ram to 8 and the mgh to at least 280 (or if you want to take a risk, try 300 mgh, which is exactly like the ps2).

Q: the psp can't play games with that kind of graphics!

A:yes it can, all though it might play the games with chopy graphics (still worth it).

Q: can i play my games with a ps2 controller? they did come out with a ps2 controller to usb port........

A: no, you need to install the driver for that thing to work.

Q: what about dumping the BIOS of your ps2 so that the pcsx2 thing is valid?

A: when someone really needs a tutorial, i will give them one.

Q:the psp can't read those usb items (keyboard and dvdr disk drive).

A:no it can't, but linux can! that is why i said to plug them up after it loaded.

that sounds good but is anyone like me where there satisfied with psp being able to play psx? oh btw since im a good psp hacker im gonna take my kh2 game and go into its data base and make it an .iso and extract it to my psp and see what happens.........................ill tell u my results later

I always wanted someone to do that so i see could if there was a possibility of directly bringing ps2 games onto the psp! but don't you have to have custom firmware to play isos?

but im gonna have to take appart my firmware and find the secret iso loader that is told to be in firmware 3.5/3.51 so that my take awile =( but getting that iso will be easy.

bringing anything into the psp is easy u just gotta know what ur doing and u have to set the iso to scazi commands so it can read the games sub titles or else ur in for it

my fantasy RP is about a group of clans called the Raskahs that attack a country for money and power, and so the heroes (a group a friends who have no homes)
have to live through it as they stumble upon new things!

EDIT: ok, I KNOW it works now, and i am very happy! even though i havn't tested it out yet (since i don't have a psp), i still found NO FLAWS in my use-to-be theory, but i would like it if someone tested it out for me!

pros- you can play ps2 on the go!
you get a free linux with all your hard work!
can show it off to all your friends!

cons- not exactly "portable" since you have to carry a usb dvdr driver, usb keyboard, and tons of usb cords.......

might run one fourth as fast as the original ps2
can get pretty annoying.......

anyway, i will give away all my sources if you want guys!

no effense but that really isnt a psp if u look at it real good it looks like a tv screen

good! but that really is a psp, there is other gameplay, but the only other gameplay shows that it crashes during the beta

 

i've seen that vid to but i think u should take my word for it that its not a real ps2 game on a real psp


like the vid where that one dude is playing kh2 final mix on his ds...............but we all know its a fake.

 

yah, that kingdom hearts vid is fake but, i think this is the real deal.

im pretty much done all i have to do is reboot the iso to see if i have the data code right (just to be on the safe side)
