Yeah, Xendane is probably right....or Sora just didn't think about it. It -is- Sora after all. *snickers*

On the cynical cut-short side, it would be exclusively "a design purpose" scheme.

But if you wish to delve deeper then that, then Repliku's description was best.

My own reasoning for it is that Oathkeeper + Oblivion = Oath to Oblivion; word play I know, but it semi-makes sense that these two be connected with Roxas rather then any of the other keyblades. (Also these are two of the very few "story-related" keyblades.) It can also be seen as Roxas balancing Light and Dark...two contrasts which equal a perfect nothing, which is what he is supposed to be.

It would also make sense if the reason why he has those two, is because they represent two of his significant but fragmented memories of "having friends". But that is entirely speculation. My opinion is that the two were choosen for poetic reasons, but that is merely my cynisism this late at night. :\

That would work if Roxas actually had cared about anyone other than himself. He actually had to fight Sora and 'see' Sora's reason for fighting -was- his friends. Roxas only ever had fought for himself. He's always been kind of selfish to me. He didn't even seem to care that Axel died at first but for the reason 'Axel chose Sora over him'. I really don't see why people like Roxas so much. His story was sad but other people actually cared for people and died or suffered. Any way, I did laugh at that and I'll end me versus Roxas fanboi/fangurls rant. I'm sure someone will slay me for not liking him as much as just about every other character in the game...except Vexen and Marluxia.

I don't like him much either, see. I'm more of a Riku person. Roxas was kind of a selfish brat in a way, but Riku did anything he could to help his friends, even if it meant going to the Dark Side.

That too. That makes sense, as he was fighting for his life on the Sora platform.

They can have it at the same time in the Sora Roxas fight, I've tryed it. Anyways, I think Roxas' Oathkeeper looked different from Sora's(possibly, I'll have to replay that part) so they may both have the same style but not the same key chain.

Well, I never really check the key chains, but I think Roxas's is some sort of star or something. Sora has the Mickey Mouse one.

To answer your question, Star_Seeker, yes, you can have the Oathkeeper in that battle, I've tried it. I agree that since Sora has the Keyblade from the realm of light, Roxas can use it as well, along with all of its keychains. Although there is another possible explanation. Remember that Donald and Goofy didn't even see Roxas, so Roxas could have made contact directly through his mind. Since Roxas was only there in a dream-like state, he could use the Oathkeeper and Oblivion, perhaps because they too were illusions or memories. Maybe if Roxas were a phisical manifetation, he wouldn't be able to use them because Sora had them.

Donald and Goofy never would have seen Roxas because Roxas was inside Sora and a spiritual part of him and I think the fight fought was a more 'astral' fight than a physical one. It was inside Sora, and Roxas, being connected to the Samurai Nobodies, used them to hold back Donald and Goofy so they wouldn't be able to wake Sora up.

Maybe since those keyblades represent something about Roxas?
