I'm very sorry for your loss. I know what that kind of feels like. My dog is with my grandmother, haven't seen him in 5 years. But I know he's doing good for her so I'm okay with it.

I've had pets die before but I wasn't really that close to any of them. But there is no way I'm going to be anything besides a whiny little ***** when 2 of my cats go. -Hugs.-
Wow Luna, that's terrible news. However, if your dog was sick, it's better that she's not in pain anymore. I know she's waiting for you on the other side (I think animals get into Heaven for the simple fact that they don't know about sin). Death is always something hard to deal with, but remember that you have tons of friends who care about you and will help you in anyway you can. *hugs*
