    Hey there readers.
I need some advice on how to fix my ps2.
I tuun on my ps2 and I can hear the sound of the game, I can move around and play, but the problem is, I cant see anything. It's just a black screen with the volume. So is this like a short or something? If so how to fix it?

This has happened to me once or twice, and the only remedy I could find was making sure the chords for my Playstation 2 were plugged in all the way or plugged in correctly. That always solved the problem for me, so maybe it will for you too.

If that's not the problem, then I would guess it's the disc. =/

If he can move around and play then it's not the disc,it's probably like you said, the chords weren't plugged in correctly.

yea it's prolly those 3 color things, the red, yellow, and white chords. one of them is probably unplugged.

Like everyone else said, my guess would be that one of the cords was unplugged. I can't remember which one makes it show up on the screen, so you'll have to check all of them. You'll want to push on them pretty hard, they can be picky and sometimes it looks like they're all in when they're very slightly out.

Of course, there is always the possibility of something going wrong inside the cords, too. If you have pets, check the cords for bite marks. Our cats have a habit of chewing on cords. Also, chech the angles they are kept at. If they have been folded or kinked or knotted, the wire inside may have broken.

Check your cords. If you wiggled the console doing whatever, you might have wiggled the video cable out a bit. Check the connections back there (or in front, if you've got one of those TVs with the jacks in front).

If that doesn't work then maybe see if you can get new cables for your PS2, as those ones might be on their last coils.

EDIT: I wanna add, you're not wrapping them around anything, right? That really messes up the wires inside.
Makes 'em really fragile and weak, so connections suck.
