Digital Art I need help with gimp

mkay so i've downloaded gimp and i'm trying to make my sig with it but its like impossible cuz i don't get it at all can anyone give me some tips n stuff please?!?!?!?!?!?! :(

Oh, and just look around with stuff too. It'll help.

If you have access to a torrenting program, you can probobly just go download a PS CD key. PS is pretty much better if I do say so myself. :3
