Use the Dodge Roll well. You do not want to spam it because Meteo has a high chance of nailing you during the recovery, but ignoring its availability will punish you as well.

Try to refrain from using Sleights until Darkside is at most one HP bar left too so that you do not run out of cards too early.

that's why crd conservation is good!although the only sleights i use are fire raid, blizaard raid and well that's it, as the shadow will keep changing battle stances as you keep card breaking his cardsm i hate him!

First off, read what we've already written, and second, use lots of zero keyblades. always be able to access one so you can break his combos fast. You can;t let him get it on you or your toast. Just make sure he can't hit you with his strng attacks, and be sure to heal IMMEDIATLY if he does.

If you have the cards to spare, bring out the Zantetsukens and always keep one ready to smash his Sleights. Remember to break his Elixirs as well.

I've tried everything anyone has written, but he still keeps beating me!!! I can't card-break him because he uses the move that paralizes Sora.

What I did was to go on the defensive and keep dodging his attacks, crushing his Sleights with Zantetsukens and breaking his Elixirs until he was down to a very small deck, then whip out the Omnislashs and smack him down.

I regret to inform you that I have no more savegame there, otherwise I would gladly make a video for you. X_X

I honestly can't tell you how to beat him straight up. I beat him through shear force of will when I did it. It took me quite a few tries, and I just had to get good at knowing what to do. Memorize then names of his sleights. His attack that paralyzes you is important to dodge or break, always go for that one. If you keep dying, level up your hp. Get lots of cures. Constantly heal. This is a rule of thumb I gave my girlfriend, and it did wonders for her. If you get down to half health, HEAL. Don't wait to cure yourwself. Constantly heal. Don't let your health get low or you will die when you are healing. If you heal while your at mid range, even if he hits you, your still alive to try again. Watch your health, watch his move names, and watch HOW he moves. When he is about to do a powerful atack, break him or hit him. Memorize his movements, and keep at it. If all else fails, level up you hp like crazy so that you last longer.

Vexen's enemy card might save you if you really take that much damage, but I would recommend AGAINST depending on it.

My strategy for the game was to NEVER increase my HP. This way, I can have more CP capacity to put better cards into my deck. I had a lot of attack cards, and some heals. Just a recommendation: Don't put any summons in your deck. It takes too long to summon them, and bosses tend to break them pretty easily. Riku was really easy for me, even though I was underleveled. A good strategy is to have a sleight deck with a number of Heals. Make sure you have enough room to put some heals in. The best sleights to have possible in your deck are Judgement, Fire Raid, and Curaga. And for the Judgement and Fire Raid sleights, use Kingdom Key as your attack cards for more possible cards. But if you're incapable of making a "Sleight Deck", the next best thing is to make a straight-forward attack deck. Try to get all your zero cards in as well as about 8 cures or so. Then put your cards with the highest value in your deck (Oathkeeper 8,7,or 9 for example. Oh yeah, you can get some Oathkeepers before you start from Moogle shops.) Put your Cures at the very back of your deck for easy access. Then put all your zero cards in the front. Then place all of your attacks cards right behind the zeros. Don't use your zeros immediately, only if he uses Dark Aura or Dark Firaga, if you don't know how to dodge it. If you still have some room left, have a Oogie Boogie enemy card to heal yourself for a while. Then have a Jafar so you can attack without him breaking your cards. (You're gonna have to press that A button with great intensity.) If anyone has any other problems with Boss Battles, PM me.

Only against character bosses to break their Enemy Card effects. Decide for yourself if you want to do that.

I would disagree with you due to the sheer usefulness of Cloud's Sleights. Just stay away from zeros, though.
