Chain of Memories I need help with boss fights

I need to clarify one thing: Do you need to hit an enemy with a Zantetsuken (as signified by them turning pink briefly) in order to permanently break the card/Sleight in use or will mere activation of the Zantetsuken do it? I have been lucky with striking the crazy thing on the bosses so I am unclear about this.

 

how do you do Zantetsuken? what cards to i need anyway?

 

Three Keyblade cards, any kind, can be same or different. All value nine or zero. When activated, Sora makes a slash and some kind of long trail comes out. However, do not be fooled by appearances, the bugger is actually very difficult to damage the enemy with and the damage is light. As mentioned, I have been lucky with it thus far.

The real benefit of Zantetsuken comes from its less obvious effect. It Breaks the card or Sleight in use and the cards broken are broken permanently until the battle ends. That means that Hi-Potions, Mega-Potions, Mega-Ethers, Elixirs and Megalixirs cannot "retrieve" them. Of little use against "large" bosses, of course, but very useful against character-types and your friends. As you can whittle down their deck and no amount of Item Cards can save them.

Which brings me back to my question. Do you need to actually damage the target with the Zantetsuken to permanently break his/her cards or will mere activation be good enough?

 

thanks! any thoghts on beating malificient, i only got two cloud cards and i'm not getting any lucky, still stuck with two cards, is there another way to find cloud cards?

 

@Warpobscura: I'm fairly certain that merely countering the card/sleight is enough to do it, though I'm not sure as I've never been able to play someone else on the game. :P

@SoraX: You don't need Cloud to beat Maleficent, in fact I find Omnislash to be almost useless against bosses because they can counter it with their zeroes before you get the full benefit of the card. You should work on building a deck that hits hard and fast with some strong combos. One of my favortie things to do is a stunwave into a ragnarok spell. Make sure you ahve strong cards for afterward though, have a good amount of cure spells, and three minimum of zeroes to counter with. You just need to counter her spells that deal the most damage to you, and beat face with her. Jafar is still a good strategy, so try that if your having problems.

 

What about character-type bosses, then?

 

I don't know if it has any effect on them or not, snce they can;t exactly tell you if their cards are missing, and as many as they have, it's hard to tell if anything has dissapeared. I;m sorry I can't answer your question more fully...

 

i already tried that, well i almost beat her but the stupid premium card lose everything, what i need to do is have more cure magic, cause my heal became a premium!

 

why dont u take away the primeum card
and put another srry i havent been on i awill

 

Hey Rikku *waves* Sorry I haven't omed you back, been busy. Anywho, if you have a premium cure, then use it as the first one in a combo of cures for curaga! Then you still have two afterward, and you get to have one mega heal during the game!

That's exactly what I'm saying Sora. *Pats on back* way to catch on.
The best straegy with Premium's is to make them the first card in a combo. This way, you aren't actually losing a card, since they have to disappear anyway, plus you get a much more powerful effect than you would otherwise. Sorry I did not mention this before, as I thought it was an understood :p

Sora, it'd be very difficult for you to mimic a person's deck because of premium's what you do and don't have access to etc. If you want, I can give you the combo system my deck runs, but also, I haven't gotten to even Captain Hook yet, that is the world I am currently on. So I dunno how usefull it would be for you.

yah, i know that, how bout magic and atack what is a more effective card that can beat her

 

the only magic card that has a good chance of hitting her is thunder (or a summon like simba)
