Well, I kinda liked it because it's sort of an atypical harem anime. I mean really, who would have expected her to be a yandere, you know?

And yeah, I think they translated it like that on purpose. I think "they" comes from whichever word makes "Higurashi" plural since Japanese uses pronouns in places where one wouldn't (and shouldn't!) use them in English. I don't know all the details, but I know that plurals are especially weird because they typically use the suffix -tachi, which indicates "one or more others." So higurashi-tachi wouldn't be "cicadas," but rather, "the cicada and one or more others," where the "one or more others" do not necessarily have to be cicadas.

tl;dr: Japanese is weird and you should never ever try to speak it because native Japanese speakers will just laugh at you because you don't know that when you use the first person pronoun "atashi," you're calling yourself a little girl when in fact you're a big manly man of a man's man who should be using either "ore" or "boku."

I know. She just didn't seem the type, but then it happened. That ending though . . . it was a lot more graphic then I thought it would be. Not to mention her mother, and the plot twist there.

Um . . . I don't know how much of that can be retained in my memory. It's not great to start with . . . Cicadas . . . got it lol

"Ore wa!!! . . . Atashi wa???" I'll stick to my fun little words. Anime teaches me fun one's. Like curse words for example :D

I finished watching Toradora. Anything similar that I should watch?

That was seriously way too short and the ending was also kinda disappointing...

Ouran High School Host Club is pretty good once you get past the first few episodes.

Honey and Clover is also another one of my favorites that's Slice of Life genre/drama

Star Wars is a pretty good slice of life anime. It's about a boy who lives on a farm with his uncle and dreams of something more. Eventually, an old man who knew his father gets involved and takes him on a pretty neat journey, near the end of which the boy discovers that his father was a real jerk.

I would say Chuunibyou Demo Koi Ga Shitai!, mainly because it's started to develop a lot of drama over the past few episodes.

However there is a slight smidge of Fantasy mixed in with it, although it's mostly satire.

You'd know what I mean if you watched the anime.

I read the manga and holy **** I was so thankful that I did. I watched the I Got a Feeling cover in the anime because I'm a pretty huge Beatles fan, and it was so terrible. The music in my head was amazing though.
