Holy crap! I just noticed that somebody posted in that thread again. I thought it died a month ago. I would make a rebuttal but I'm too lazy at the moment and because I don't really believe in Creationism even though I'm a Christian. The Bible can be interpreted in many different ways and Creationism is one of those interpretations.

 

Being a Catholic, I believe that evolution did happen. According to the Bible, the "first day" had no day or night. Therefore, it could have lasted billions of years during which all creatures could have evolved. This isn't what I believe, but still. I simply believe that the Creation story was a myth invented my the Isrealites to explain the world. Just like how Adam and Eve/Cain and Abel explain the reason for evil in the world and the Tower of Babel explains the language barrier as well as how evil spread through the world. It's all figurative.

As far as evolution, I believe that Darwin was right as rain. Why is this okay to believe if I'm Catholic? Because I also believe that God made it happen.

 

To be honest even if there is tons of proof against creationism, people are still going to believe it. Doesn't really matter if you argue about it on a Kingdom Hearts forum, lol.

 

I know, but I like to make a stand against the wave of ignorance and stupidity =]

 

so much proof to back up evolution...but still...never ending cycle of what started it...what started evolution? the big bang. What started the big bang? An exploding star. Where did the star come from?


So personally...yes evolution happened...But I also have my beleif there was a god to start it all

I'm not sure if my university has one. I probably should though. I'm sick of the idiots winning just because they have hundreds/thousands of years of tradition behind them. We all know how ridiculous traditions can be.

 

I attempted to evolve my Wurmple into a Cascoon but I received a Silcoon instead.

I don't think much on creation, but it is a touchy subject. This is my persona opinion, but I do belive that God created the world and it's people. No, I don't have strong proof against your statements, mainly because I had no interet in science. Even if we did "evolve" it's because God willed us to evolve. I have faith in God.

And I may ask you this: Why are you asking this on a Kingdom Hearts Forum? A good number of their members haven't done as much research as others. I have a rare heart condition and I should have died years when I was only three months old but I didn't. There is a reason why I've been kept alive. However, I never posted this in he Discussion Section, challanging others to figure out why I am still alive.

You seem to miss the point that not everyone's going to think you are right. I understand that about my God, but I seemed to have a blessed life because I beleive in Him. I will preech about God because I trust him, but only to those who will listen. I don't force my beliefs onto others like Athiests do.
