Question i just downloaded gimp

but the "help" stuff doesnt work (as in it says:file cant be found) and im a total newb so im trying to figure out how to images on it and i cant find that out so now that i have told you all how much of an idiot i might be right now i need some help :P anyone pease?

 

Did you download the help section as it was on a different download button? Mine works fine,

 

Firstly, I think they're an extra help file(s) that you have to download from the same site. Secondly, wat do u need help in? (what do you primarily want to use GIMP for?)

two: im probably just gunna make digs(not trying to become pro) make avatars all that kind of stuff..

2) If that's wat ur going in for, then I'm not one who u should ask for help. But some basics is using that free-form tool (the one that looks like a lasso) and trace out the basic form of a picture u want to emphasize and then click invert and clear to make it blend with the background. And that's just about all I know...
