    1. If someone with a red box of rep gives you rep, does it count???

    2. Say you made an account for a friend, and they don't go on anymore, if you log on to that account, does it count as having an alt account???

    1. It shows up as a grey box.

    2. I have no clue, but probably yes since you'd be the one using it.

1 is already answered, but as for 2, it'd count as account sharing.

I don't think it is. It's the same as if someone hacks another account and uses it- the hacked account won't be banned, right? But that's in theory. I don't know what the mods will do.

    1) hmmm never really thought about that. I don't believe it counts thoughsince one of the factors of being able to give or take points is having points of your own first.

    2) I would class it as alt accounting/account sharing yes, both of which are against the rules and both are bannable. There is nothing to prove that you didn't make the account yourself and are just using the friend made it line as an excuse to cover your ass. If it isn't your account then don't go on it.

Actually depending on the cicumstances, sometimes a ban may be issued, however this is usually just a precaution whilst we sort out what exactly happened. For example a while ago a member on here got hacked by a banned member, we had to ban her account (she was on holiday at the time) until she came back and we could discuss it with her.
