I've been seeing these everywhere and I've been debating whether or not I should post in these types of threads but I might as well. >_>

I was a mute in high school. Don't be a mute. Because I never spoke to people(I was even amazed I made friends) I was labeled as a shy person. AND THEN I WON SHYEST IN SENIOR YEAR WHICH MADE ME MAD. I was/am a shy person, but I was/am more reserved really. If someone spoke to me, I'd talk back to them but I never really kept conversations with people because I hated almost everyone.

High school wasn't all that fun for me. Looking back at it now, I honestly hated it and I'm not missing it. What I am missing though is college. I go back on the 28th of this month and I'm excited. I never felt excitement for high school, which I guess is disappointing, but I prefer college. IT'S BETTER.

This was basically me too, though it didn't help that my one friend was rather popular and we started to be known as a matched set--people didn't really know me for me, they knew me as this one girl's friend. I never felt like I really belonged to any group, I hung around with mostly the theater kids but I always felt like I was just tagging along because I knew one or two people within the group. They were always nice to me of course, not blaming them, I just didn't really put myself out there.

One of the things that I think makes High School really really difficult (at least, for me) was that you've been going to school with these people for a solid like... 10 years. They all know each other and they all have these conceptions about you. I found it really hard to change myself, because I felt like everyone already had this image of me and I was too embarrassed to break that. And it was tough to find new friends because everyone already had their groups and all.

I'm hoping college will treat me better. :L

I was about to brag about not starting until the 6th, until I saw this. I suppose you win.

BUT AT LEAST I DON'T HAVE FRIDAY CLASSES HA[DOUBLEPOST=1345409202][/DOUBLEPOST]
For some reason, I always assumed you were older than me. Dunno why.

In all honesty, I like college so much more than High School.

7th, 8th, and 9th grades I was pretty depressed, didn't have many friends, contemplated suicide more than once (but never actually acted on it), and just generally was miserable and didn't do anything.

The rest of high school was... just okay. I was annoyed by half the school, mostly.

College is actually fun, for the most part. I take classes I actually sort fo care about and can actually do something with. Except for math.
