Well . . . Firstly, a friend who is not a friend is not a friend. That my dear is an acquaintance.

Secondly, if you don't have differing opinions on certain matters with someone you should seek help. It's more than likely a voice in your head.

Thirdly, what's wrong with Skillet being dubstep? It's good dubstep, right?

EDIT: Sorry for skipping over the whole agnostic/religion/etc conversation. I'm not agnostic though, I believe in science.

    EDIT2: And whovian apparently.

I recall it being said the person in question was not a friend. A friend . . . who is not a friend . . . therefore is not a friend. That would be called an acquaintance. You cannot have a friend who is not a friend.

Secondly, that one was a sarcastic remark in regards to the original post.

Retrospect. Talking about this is better than religion. Religion is so boring. Sorry for ever bringing it up.

On friends, all comes down to is if you enjoy and appreciate each other's company.

Wait, you mean there's a problem with the internet? I thought it was all butterflies and rainbows.

Not sure if this thread is brilliant or mentally challenged, but it's one of them alright.

Man, I was busy for a couple of days and missed all of this? Stupid busy schedule. XD

My reaction on reading the initial opening post: "Wow, they're a huge fan..."

Someone once tried to tell me that they didn't like the music I listen to because it had too much screamo in it. I was like "But... I don't have any screamo in my playlist... the closet thing to it is Skillet, and even that's not too close." And they said "No, it wasn't Skillet. I know Skillet. Skillet is pop. It was some other screamo band. You have screamo in your playlist." I let it go, but... I didn't have any screamo in that playlist. And Skillet's not pop.

    Really now?
You all are going to say things about me choosing who I can be friends with and that how I should lose faith in myself?
Ever heard of everyone being different?
Yea, well, that does go for everyone.
I choose to be friends with people who I share interests with because it would mean we always have something to talk about. I hardly ever am friends with others who I share nothing with because I have once tried that and we always fought on everything.
You think One Direction is amazing? Ok, cool. I am in love with Escape The Fate.
There really is no "connection" there.
I tend to be associating myself with people of similar interests to get away from all that "clashing" and disagreement because it's an overall headache.
Another thing I don't get, is how most of you are getting all butt-hurt about this.
Now, don't get me wrong, I am well aware of what I had just said, and I bet I will most definitely get a lot of "feedback" from this, but I mean, come on. This doesn't affect any one of you personally.
The main point of this thread was literally supposed to mean that I had gotten irritated because someone mixed up Skrillex with Skillet.
You guys just loved to pick out the littlest detail in which was unnecessary.

To someone who doesn't really follow one or the other, it sounds like an honest mistake to make. I recently heard Skillet for the first time in a TRON:Legacy fan video and was wondering where the bass was. Thinking of Skrillex.

The names do sound awfully similar.

    They do sound similar.
I just listen to Skillet a lot, and hardly listen to Skrillex anymore, so when someone mixes them up, it does kind of pull on my nerves.

Yeah, I know what you mean about that. I feel the same way when someone claims to be a fan of Doctor Who and then writes it as "Dr. Who." Or when someone mixes up the two rappers KJ-52 and John Reuben when they don't even have the same style. Or when someone mixes up Star Wars and Star Trek. XD
