I have acquired a job.

At an alteration shop.

Upsides; It's a job. 9 bucks an hour. I like sewing.

Downsides; No free time ever.

It's easy if you put the effort in.

My issue was I refused to do retail or food service, since this is like, a job job, not a summer or part time thing.

 

Yay jobs! That means lots of money that can be spent on things : D who needs free time!

That's great~ As someone who makes cosplays and costumes and whatnot, I wouldn't mind having that type of job (aside from no free time hehe).

I, as an actress, unfortunately work in da restaurant business. Part time. So, $5.00/hour. ;c

I just came home with a second job which I got from one of my regulars at my current full-time job.

 

Isn't minimum wage like 7 bucks?

 

Federal minimum wage is 7.25. Some states are able to get away with giving a bit less due to certain laws and said states' own standard of living. However, in most states, the wage for servers is significantly less since they make up for it in tips (though, their manager is supposed to pay the difference if their tips don't at least net them the equivalent of minimum wage.)

Also I'm a busser, so I get paid even less than part-time servers. Additionally, it's my first job so naturally I get paid even less. We all gotta start somewheres.

 

Really? My first job was bussing when I was 16. Did it for three years (well two because I took a year off from working). I made minimum wage plus I got tipped by the servers I had helped (which only came out to twenty or so bucks a day), but I wasn't allowed to pick up up tips from tables unless I was given that table to serve (which happened very rarely) or they tipped me personally (which happened more often). By the time I quit, I was at 8.25 an hour.

 

Hahahahahahaha, oh that made me laugh....NOT!! I'll take insanity any day over buying more sanity. Not too mention, Since I just bought a 3DS XL yesterday and a copy of KH3D, I've got 18 dollars right now. Good thing my friend is giving me $150 and I've still yet to get both of my grandma's birthday checks
