Chain of Memories I have a suprise!!!

well, I went to see the new bookfair at my school and you wont believe what book series I saw!

they had kh: chain of memories volmes #1 AND #2

the cover of #2 had riku and namine on it!!!

I was walking to my 1st period and took a quik loook and i saw a book that had a girl with a white dress and a boy with gray hair and the book next to it, there was sora!

 

I own Volume 1 of the KH:CoM manga, and IT ROCKS! Then I borrowed Volume 2 from a friend (none of my local stores had it), and... well, let's just say I was very disappointed by it, compared to Vol. 1.

THIS CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR THE KH:CoM MANGA and/or GAME... then again, if you ARE on this thread, you should already know that... *shrug* I've been spending too much time on IMDb... o.O

Volume 1 was very drawn out, going into a lot of detail (esp. with Agrabah), but then by Volume 2, the only worlds we saw were Twilight Town (which is rather necessary) and the Destiny Islands. No mention of any of the others. AND THEN... several very important facts were simply discarded; such as the fact that Zexion was betrayed by Axel and absorbed by the Riku Replica (who is known as Travis); not killed by Riku as shown in the manga. Also, Travis himself was killed by Riku during the game; in the manga, his heart is broken by Namine, and then... what? The next we see of Travis in the manga, he's starring in a spoof with a bunch of Vexen Replicas!!!

Why?!? I appreciate the fact that some things need to be changed to better follow a serialized manga, but... did this bother anyone else?

Yeah well no surprise there . I got all the comics in the whole series and I got all of them on the day each one came out (but not together).

 

You're so lucky! They only sell lame books at my school book fair...

I heard they made books for it. Sadly, they're reallly popular, and my dad couldn't get me the 1st vol. Maybe in the future thought. :)

all I get in my book fair is a few books about short arm guns and WWII stories, biology stuff history stuff books stuff cooking stuff books stuff more stuff... I would probably faint if they even had green eggs and ham,
I would be shaking if there was a single harry potter book or any book thats worth saying it name.

Lucky. They don't sell that kind of stuff at my school. We get fictional books but no manga.

 

The mangas aren't very good anyway.

 

i read both today and they were pretty good

but vol. 2 sold out fast!

 

The manga's not that bad... okay, yes it is. *slumps defeatedly* But for those of us who don't have GBAs, it's the only access to CoM without reading the game script!

Oh! You are lucky!! Here in my lame city they sell nothing! Besides a few mangas that come sometimes and you are lucky if you get one of them -_- ..
But I haven't seen anything KH ;( its too bad .. But in the neighbourcity they have a nice store who is just made for manga and anime fans!:D Next time I am there I'll se about they got any Kh:D But i Doubt since verything gets sold out so quikly

I completely agree with you! When I bought CoM Vol.2 I was quite disapointed by it. I was expecting for it to continue for another volume at least but it ended so abruptly I was kinda left speechless.

 

Awesome! I read up to the first Vol. On CoM. And all of the first. I can't wait to read it!
